Loutre we need to talk

@Loutre you and I need to talk. And since I can’t PM you I’m gonna say right here right now.

Something has to be done about friendship campaigns.

Because I have been hitting road block after road block in many friendships campaigns that I have left unfinished. I for one have grown sick and tired of it. Some of my friendships campaign are constantly going into standstills because of characters like Sally, Darkwing Duck, Shank, even Simba and Nala pose a threat thanks to their refreshed blue skill. I tried and spent everything I have to do this, even using a power-up didn’t work.

So, as our only connection to the developers, you are my last hope.

I’m begging you, tell them to make friendships a little more beatable, disable red skills, take out characters, minimize levels or ranks , something, anything. I don’t care what it is anymore just make friendships campaigns easier so I can finally get on with this game.

Didn’t they just invented Friendship Campaign boost for exactly this reason? I haven’t really tried it out yet, because I haven’t started a new friendship campaign in ages.

Definitely use the boosts. They’re extremely helpful.

Frequently but not always, in my experience; I’ve had a Coldsnapper keep Ducky & Bunny permafrozen when my only other hero was Kermit, and even after 80 boosts the only way I could advance was to promote D&B several ranks so they gained enough tenacity to thaw out just long enough to KO the creeps.

I agree that some friendships are too hard and they should not keep scaling with the max rank.

But I don’t think they are any harder than they’ve always been. Have you used flames? If you think it’s hard, then are you at 15 or 25 flames? If not, then that’s your solution.

Also, FYI people do not like being told, “we need to talk.” It’s rude and triggering.

Need I say more?

Look, I’m sorry if it sounds rude or triggering but I am so frustrated that I can’t get past any of these campaigns. You would be to if you faced with what I am facing.

Darkwing Duck going invisible every time you even touch him and smoke bombing and grappling the daylights out of your team

Sally and her red skill which is just a moving cloud of poison that just kills off your team in a span of 5 seconds.

Shank is basically a brick wall when she uses her green Skill.

Hades who just goes invincible when he is down to his last bar of health which gives him the chance to retaliate.

And there are those who just spam their white skill like Beast, Hercules, and Simba and Nala (who can also charm your team at the beginning of the fight which last forever).

And as far as I’m concerned, I’ve grown tired of it.

I will pass along the feedback.

In my view the Friendship Campaign enemies’s shouldn’t be tied to the server level of release, but rather be locked to level 120/130 at the highest as that’s when we get our Red skills.
In my view that would be fair, especially specifically for just getting to play through the Friendship Campaign story even if not getting the Disks. While yes, the boost helps, but waiting weeks or months for that isn’t worth it in my view if one isn’t planning to have the character as one of their main characters.

What I recommend is PerBlue is to reduce the Friendship Levels and in this case the enemies, which has been done earlier back in the 1.4 update:

I think there may have been some Friendship Campaign adjustments in terms of character refreshes, but as far as I remember there was never a Friendship level reduction after this.

As a part of the Friendship Refresh quality of life fixing I would like to recommend the idea in terms of lowering the enemies’s level in the Friendship Campaigns to reduce frustrations player have with how difficult the Friendship Campaigns are, especially considering new players.

Sincerely Kira

Some enemies should be just removed altogether, especially if one of the characters involved deals no damage.

I would say that the team should mainly redesign chapters 2,3 and 4. 5-8 provide at least 4 heroes, with 8 having all 5.

As far as specific characters goes and it being difficult to get past them I can’t 100% comment on from experience given that I have overall not been focused on trying to attempt trying to beat Friendship Campaigns for characters I don’t focus on.

But yes, I agree problem/stall characters shouldn’t be in the Friendship Campaigns, or at least not in the first chapter when we players can just use 2 characters.

“Even using a power-up didn’t work” - yah I read that and I stated that I usually need 5-25 of them. Do you use more than “a power up”?

I’m also surprised you didn’t mention the worst enemies: Max and Davy. I forget who else. Sally is bad. Didn’t have a problem with the rest you mentioned.

I and a few others have recommended being able to hire mercenaries for friendship campaigns. That would go a long way to decreasing the frustration of needing 30+ powerups because I don’t want, or don’t have the resources, to level up goliath.

I have a system I am going through the campaigns rank by rank. and it works like this:

  1. Main Campaign
  2. Elite Campaign
  3. Friendship Campaign

Right now, I am focusing on campaigns that ranges from Red-1 to Red-3 (just to catch-up with the other two campaigns) and move on from there. So, I haven’t gotten there yet. But, I have heard that Maximus is like a literal tank and you have to destroy the Dead Man’s Chest in order to defeat Davey Jones which is basically a distraction while he unleashes his fury on you. So, I can only imagine how hard that is.

Flames are not always the solution, unfortunately. I don’t expect PerBlue to know in advance which Friendship Campaigns are not going to be made passable with simply the addition of power-ups, but I think it is worth bringing the ones that are like that to their attention so they can decide what, if anything, they want to do about them. (For all I know, they may want players on the older servers to have Ducky & Bunny at least at R5 before they can get Kermit’s disk with them.)

I mean if you don’t want to spend stamina, flames are the way to go. There are a few like Kermit’s friendships that are really, really bad, but those are rare. 80 power ups? What was your Ducky & Bunny at? For S21, mine was R0 and I think I needed 25 power ups :frowning:

I’m on server 2, and going into the friendship campaign, I had my Ducky & Bunny at R1 or R2 and around level 160; after getting about 70 flames and still not being able to get past that one Coldsnapper, I started leveling D&B up (since gold and XP are easier to come by than stamina), but that also proved ineffective. I re-tried that particular battle every time I got a new badge that increased their tenacity (and after fully enhancing any such badges), and it wasn’t until I got them to R5 with the Interdimensional Door and Call The Super badges that I got past that one creep. On the plus side, the rest of the campaign was fairly easy.

Thinking back on it, I believe that battle was in the second chapter of the campaign, so there was a third hero (I forget who) who I had at a much, much lower rank than D&B; if you had that hero at a decent level, you could probably get through the campaign with a weaker D&B.

That’s crazy! I’m sorry! My highest so far is 36 flames for Mim and Magica. I think anything above 30 is too high. The most recent ones have thankfully had good friends.

Tia Dalma too. I’m SO close to beating Quackerjack’s campaign with Lock, Shock, & Barrel. But in the very last level, I have to face her, and she keeps on blasting my guys with that stupid tidal wave of hers. I can’t put in words how much I absolutely HATE that! UGH!
