the fastest way to increase your team level is to do your dailies.
spending stamina also counts towards your team level

You need to increase your Team Level (AKA your level; AKA the level found under your name, in the bottom-left corner). Your Hero Level is capped at whatever your Team Level is.
Just perform daily tasks and pass the campaign))
