MESSAGES - Missing notification of new messages

This topic has been brought up a few times over the past few months.

Whenever I send a message asking for a reply and do not get a reply while I am logged in, when I log back in I get notifications that some players have replied and from others I do not. This gets quite frustrating when you have to open your friends list each time you log in and manually go to each friend individually and open up their chat bubble to see whether or not they have replied to your question or sent you a message. This is a quality of life issue and has been present the last few months.

Also, when I log off or leave the game, some of the peoples names that I have pm’d disappear from the left hand side of the screen when I come back on to the game. A few of the names remain until I scroll down and press delete chat. All names, up to a certain limit, should still be shown in this left hand screen area below guild chat, VIP chat, etc, etc, until I manually delete them

This has been an issue since the game launched and all we’ve been told is that the developers have been looking into it and can’t figure out why it’s not working. So after a year they can’t figure out an issue with chat.

For me the worst problem with chat is when someone sends a message like in guild for example, but I don’t get it, so I have to close the app and restart it to the find out there was a whole conversation going on and I didn’t even know because I couldn’t see it

Yup, that’s another big issue with the chat function. If you switch out of the app to say go on the internet for a second and then go back in you miss anything that was typed into any of the chats.
