MMR seems to be getting worse

I was optimistic that the MMR will self adjust as the seasons roll on by. But now i’m really skeptical about it.

My guild ranking is 49 on server 5 at the moment. The following are the match ups we’ve gotten and the results (V=victory; L=loss):

Season 1
58 (V), 55(V), 44(L), 100(V), 52(V), 34(L), 160(V), 48(L), 338(V), 63(V), 19(L), 98(V), 9(L)

Season 2
16(L), 117(V), 28(?)

Started season 1 off okay. But as it progressed, we seem to be swinging between getting completely decimated and totally dominating. This seriously need to get looked into.

So your one of the guilds that got in legendary last season…

And this is what i expected on this season, weak guilds who got on legendary will feel the wrath of strong guild who didnt got on legendary last season…

Yups. We did end up there. And i would dare say that it’s partially by luck. This proves that the MMR really needs to be fixed. I’m in a rather casual guild. So if fixing the MMR means we can’t get into legendary, so be it.

Having 15 fair fights per season is way better than being dominated in 8 and dominating in another 7.

MMR needs work yes, but the issue of low guilds getting to legendary if lucky is because of the league system. As long as we have that we’ll be facing too strong/week guilds most of the season.

Another aspect is that the guilds need to be rather close in power to get an even fight, so with the current “coliseum”-style war even fights will be rare unless alot of guilds are very close.

I would wish for a big overhaul of all parts of war, but I guess it’s unlikely to happen.

As it is now war is becoming boring very quickly. Either smash or be smashed…

We are a top 10 guild on server 9… same things happen with us. We get smashed by the #1 guild… then we get put up against this poor guild who has no chance against us. It basically goes back and forth. We did get legendary last season- I’m assuming we will this season also since we are on our 3rd win I believe… unless something changes in the next 12 hours. But it’s like it flip flops back and forth. On the 29th when it was the last war of the season- we were ranked 8th… we got put against the #2 guild and got smashed… knocked us all the way down to 30th. That seems wayyyyy off just as much as the other things. I know they said it would take awhile for things to even out… but some of this is just craziness!
