Nala and Simba dying before Meg? Ran this fight mutiple times and Nala and Simba always die before Meg? Shouldn’t be possible right?

Yes, for some reason Meg won’t link to S&N on auto
I think the reason is because S&N take too long to enter the battlefield

Send in a support ticket. That may be a bug that needs to be addressed. I know they had to create a patch when people like Aladdin or Quorra (heroes that start off screen due to their skills) were not being linked to Megara (links to front most heroes)
Meg auto linked to T&P first since S&N enter the battle after T&P

Yes, SimbaNala seem to be at the front when we pick the character, but in battle they spawned in the middle back of the formation which makes Meg to not link with SimbaNala
Polaris basically said turn off auto… which doesn’t fix the issue since you cant do that in the colesium.

If you’re battling on auto, Meg will link to the hero who is currently in the front when she activates her skill. There are some front heroes who have a delayed entrance, so Meg won’t link with them on auto. Switch to manual at the very start of battle if you have a specific hero you want Meg to link to.
