New player saying hi!

Hi everyone! I just picked up this game about a week ago since I love Disney and action/battle games and I love it so far! Any tips for playing through the game? I’m a casual F2P player, but I still kind of like following the more competitive scene, even if I’m not an active part of it. My only major question so far is how does the “Charm” effect? Based on the description I read, it sounds like it actually strengthens the enemy, which obviously sounds far from optimal. What am I missing about the effect?

Welcome to the game and the forums! :grinning:

Charming makes (a few) enemies fall so in love with you, that they start to fight on your side. Beware that you can be charmed yourself as well!

To find out which hero’s can charm go to Collections => Hero Mastery => Charm

The most notable among the charmers right now is Minnie. I would also recommend Megara.

First, welcome to the forums! And second, glad that you are enjoying it! There will be more surprises to be unlocked!

Second, for this, if you’re stuck at a level, trial and error is the best solution. Alternatively, you can ask your guildmates (if you’re in a guild) which hero combo they used and you can copycat them (copy their strategy basically) but you need them to be worked on often. Or you can use one of the heroes that you find it easy to use and replace a “useless” hero with the hero of your choice. Next, there are some elite heroes used in the top rank in coliseum and arena so you can copycat them as well or do up a report in your league and count the heroes they use and then evaluate which hero is the “most popular”. They are most likely to be the best. There are a few which includes Maximus, Mulan, Pooh and so on.

For this question, charm works like this:

Your hero is charmed. The charmed hero will attack your own team (as though the charmed hero joined the enemy team). But however, enemies still attack you, regardless of whether you are fighting for them or not.

And for charmers, please look at the skills carefully and determine which is the best. Cause while on auto, the charm will only work on a specific type of hero (ie the frontline, the one with the most HP). The charm may also fail so choose wisely which is the best option.

Have fun playing!

I completely forgot to mention that I’m on Server 21!

Welcome to the game, and the forums, some people here are a little uptight, but I hope you enjoy spending time here.

As for your questions of why charms seem to bolster the enemies, they do so only while the enemy is charmed. So basically, you power up that enemy temporarily so that they can deal extra damage to your enemies. When the charm wears off, the enemy is weakened back to their normal strength. I hope that helps. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Lol yeah I’ve read through some other threads on here, especially about the upcoming update, and I can see why. I still like the game, and since I’m already a casual player, powercreep doesn’t really bother me. I’ve been playing Fire Emblem Heroes since Day 1 almost 4 years ago and I still love that game to this day despite the massive powercreep it’s had for the past year or so.

Power creep doesn’t bother me much either, also an F2P, it’s just hard for me to play when the game crashes.

S A M E.

I honestly don’t give a carp about power creeping, just whatever fits in the meta I’ll follow along.

Exactly. I’ll try to follow with the metagame, sure, but I won’t be bothered that much by it or thinking that hard about it.
