I’ve always been confused about contest ranking, the top 1%, top 5%, top 10%, etc
Can someone helps me calculate what ranks are the top 5%, top 10%, top 25% are if the current conditions is as following:
- 1-10
- Top 1%: 11-57
You can work out the % brackets by doing (number of people actually showing as 1%) * (% you want to get) + 10
So in this case that would be
- 5% = 47*5 + 10 = Rank 245
- 10% = 47*10 + 10 = Rank 480
- 25% = 47*25 + 10 = Rank 1185

Thanks a lot, now i can push my rank to the top 10% knowing the exact rank that i must achieve
Anyway, I’m up to rank 476 but still outside of top 10%, then I’m getting more points until I’m up another rank (rank 475) and now I’m in the top 10%
The calculation seems to be off a little bit, but it’s certainly help

Probably because of rounding or something - always best to be a little on the safe side
