R.I.P ducktales 2017

And I didn’t even say they were original…

(And this is getting incredibly off topic)

Okay, but why would you flag that? I mean, I personally don’t want Toon Disney back, but just because someone else doesn’t mean I think it’s bad, idk, what do I know, lol

Actually it was cancelled

That’s messed up.

Y’all are acting like this is surprising news
I personally thought this might happen.
When Ducktales 2017 pilot aired, Disney announced season 2 and 3 would be happening.

I remember thinking “wow, given a 3 season contract and the first episode has barely aired. They must be really confident in the show and have a good 3 season plan.”
Then the show was great and years/seasons went by…
Now all year long I have been waiting to hear that the contract got extended for more seasons…
No word yet.
So it seems likely to finish at the end of the season/contract…
That’s my understanding 🤷

Launchpad is Disney confirmed

Ok so theory/spoilers:

In season 2 episode “time-nado” after traveling in time, Launchpad claims he went to the future and saw the end of the world. He says “see you there soon” and walks off casually.

So I think that in the conclusion: Fowl gathers up all the most dangerous world breaking objects and relics, Buzzard wants to destroy the items, the other villains betray him and attempt to use them as weapons. Reality breaks and the world seems to be ending, then past Launchpad shows up to help with a double Launchpad combo at the end. Past Launchpad returns to the past. Future Launchpad goes with Darkwing Duck.

It’s not about the things they’ve done
Or the adventures they’ve had
It’s about the time we’ve spent with them
It’s about the memories we’ve made with these characters. With you. Phineas & Ferb taught me this lesson, this show is continuing that legacy well and it really shows through, never forget

That’s a bit of a downer ending. You know Disney is not known for sad endings. Well, sad endings that takes a dark turn anyway.

@Mister_Toon well I was only focusing on the Launchpad sees “the end of the world” part. Since that’s cannon already.

Clearly after the world “ends” the “Papyrus of binding” appears before the Triplets. Buzzard now wanting to triple-cross the bad guys and stop the chaos tells the boys to use the paper to fix everything. The boys do. Happy ending for all. The McDucks are safe, the danger is gone, the baddies are defeated and Buzzard gets a final moment of redemption/forgiveness. Word is that Duckburg is safe once again but there may be more danger lurking elseware… So DarkWing and Launchpad ride off into the night together to find it…

That’s better.

Or Launchpad dies :open_mouth:

@Filadae_Djaq, I don’t think that can happen. Launchpad and Donald Duck exist across too many shows/realities to be killed off. At worst they can be “lost to another dimension” or some nonsense to explain why they live on elseware

Maybe not but it was still off-topic and unnecessary.
