Say Hello to the Green Team?

With more new franchises being added to the game and with an ever-growing roster of Heroes, maybe it’s time to introduce a new team, the Green Team!

With each of the current teams having approx 50 Heroes, this could be done by moving 12-13 Heroes from each of the existing teams to create the Green team. Heroes would have to be moved by franchise, so for example;

Blue Team: move the Muppets (7 heroes), Kim Possible (4 heroes) and Jungle Book (2 heroes), reducing Blue Team from 52 to 39 heroes.
Red Team: move Big Hero 6 (6 heroes), Winnie the Pooh (3 heroes), Wall-E (2 heroes) and Up (2 heroes) also reducing Red Team from 52 to 39 heroes.
Yellow Team: move Inside Out (5 heroes), Tangled (3 heroes) and Mulan (4 heroes) reducing Yellow Team from 50 to 38 heroes.
This would create a Green Team with 38 heroes. This would make each Team more manageable and provide an opportunity to experiment with new line-uos for Trials and Invasion.

On the day of transfer, any Mods attached to the heroes moved would automatically change to Green mods.

Invasion would move to a four-week cycle.

To keep Trials balanced, each Team Trial would be run four times a week instead of the current three, meaning there would be two Team trials every day Monday-Saturday, with all four being run on Sundays e.g.
Monday, Wednesday & Friday: Blue & Green
Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday: Red & Yellow
Sunday: All four
This would then be a good chance to change the reward structure of Team Trials; introduce Yellow badge bits, increase Red badge bits, reduce Purple/Orange badge bits at higher difficulties etc.

Let me know what you think

Personally, I don´t think that would solve any of the issues, because 38 or 50 heroes is nearly the same, it will just spread them vertically, which might be an issue.

I am all in for Trials refresh though or Special Trials that do give badge bits as well.

Well, if green team were to exist, I need to remind you that some franchises are in their teams because of their respective colors

Fairly certain that isn’t how Perblue decide which franchise goes into which team, as they could just have easily decided to put Winnie The Pooh into the Yellow Team (because he is yellow) or Inside Out into the Blue Team beacause of Sadness or the Red Team because of Anger (or dare I say the Green Team because of Disgust).
Would assume it has more to do with how many heroes from a particular franchise they plan on adding and assigning it to a particular team to keep them all roughly the same

Can never be 100% as only PerBlue staff knows that.

Not sure whether your post wasn´t meant to be instead a response to Djaq.

Thanks, it was meant for Filadae_Djaq

But still, by their logic, why are Monsters Inc in the yellow team when one’s blue, one’s green and the other is purple?

Some are based on status effects. In this case, the scare. If you think about it, nearly all scarers are in yellow team. There are a few exceptions (Zurg, Hades, Quackerjack, maybe a few more) that are in different teams, but those don’t focus on scare as a main synergy and aren’t particularly advantaged by having other scarers

Oh yeah Demona. She has some scare synergy, so kind of an exception maybe

That would make more sense, especially when a particular franchise has multiple characters with the same effect like Monsters Inc and Nightmare Before Christmas: scare heavy therefore they go to the Yellow Team.
Like you said, there would always be exceptions as you couldn’t put all the Toy Story heroes to the Yellow Team for example, just because Zurg has a scare effect. Plus you need to have at least a couple of Heroes with each effect on each team

Because they are not human. Most (not all) non-humans in the game are in the yellow team :man_shrugging:

Prefer Just_Phal’s theory as it makes more sense.
Not sure the “most non-humans go to Yellow Team” theory holds up as the Muppets, Toy Story, Lilo & Stitch and Jungle Book franchises are on the Blue Team and Winnie The Pooh, Duck Tales, Mickey Mouse & Friends, Darkwing Duck, Lion King and Onward franchises are on the Red Team.

Idk, it’s just something I’ve noticed. Like, there are a lot of heroes capable of stunning in all 3 teams, but the stun-focused heroes are generally in red team (only exception I can think of is Evil Queen in blue team rn)

Then ofc you have many other heroes who can stun, like Maximus and Mike, but their main synergies are respectively study and scare, not stun

You’ll always get crossover as the whole franchise has to go to the same team. So if three out of four heroes in a franchise are stun focused, the franchise goes to the Red Team as you’ve suggested, even though the fourth hero is scare focused and is more suited to the Yellow team

Like Stitch is in the Blue team cause his fur is blue.

But it would have been fun if both were on the same team lol

Not sure what color green you were hoping to fit in… but it’d have to be a nice dark green for the color blind community.

:man_shrugging:

Just saying.

But why can’t we have six teams, one for each day of the week (except Sunday) and make the last two be black and white. Then Cruela is the only character that is useable in both.

Was going to jokingly propose splitting the characters into six teams of approx. 25 characters each but was going to suggest red, blue, yellow, green, orange, and purple teams.

Well… purple and blue look really similar to me. :man_shrugging:
