Disney is known for their musical movies. Beside the Muppets, another branch of the company that can be able of making a musical is Pixar. But thos begs the question: Should Pixar do a musical?
They already have made one: coco. Also they do it a lot in the shorts. And I think pixar stated in the past that they wanted to lean away from classic Disney and musicals and stay with modern g and pg movies
But an animator did say Pixar would do a musical if it comes from “a very genuine place”.
They are staying away from musicals, and I think that is a truly good thing. It helps their movies to be different from the other Disney properties. Are you thinking it would be an original movie musical or Broadway?

Coco isn’t a musical. It is a movie surrounding a song, not telling stories via songs

Ok. That was my first guess. Honestly it would depend on a lot of factors for me just because Pixar does not normally do musicals. I could see a few already existing Pixar becoming a Broadway musical really well though.
