@The_Real_Numi It is more so in terms of time consumption as I am not sure if the badge tree can be automatically adjusted or not, so it would mean a lot of manual labor in the typing sense and time consuming. Technical Debt that has accumulated for a long time takes longer to fix afterall.
That said, adjusting the badge trees could be a decent task for a intern or job training person, like if just easy even repetitive task after being told what to do. Something that could maybe be considered, I have done similar-ish job training/trainee related wise before.
While the actual adjustments has to be planned by the designers or the ones in charge of balance, the actual implementation could be technically done by a Intern or someone doing job training.
Removing 1 high cost badge from the Y12+ ranks probably isn’t impossible and can likely be done, just costing time. I understand if needing planning, however it is probably the most Technical Debt type issue Disney Heroes have and it is severely impacting the Players experience.
Hard to say what will happen, but I would assume PerBlue does something with the badge costs eventually.
While not addressing the costs fully as in adjusting the badge trees, lowering the Purple badge bit requirement to 20 badge bits per badge would likely help a lot, same for Orange to either 30 or 40.
Lowering the badge bit amounts will at least help.
.
As for your new comment I have touched on it in this comment, but for the other one in that comment I meant in general simplifying the Badge Tree as a whole more so.
Which could be that instead of having 16 different badges 50 bit costing you have to grind, you instead have 4 badges you need 100-200 bit costing badges. This would likely have helped the Pink Dot issue.
That said, not sure what is best, but yeah I at least think it is possible to fix the Badge Tree issues and the Badge Cost issues, or at least making them more manageable for us player User Experience(UX) wise, which as we now know also includes the Pink Dot and Lag issue UX wise.
Hopefully at least by Spring or Summer next year PerBlue has done something to lower the Badge costs :-). Not sure if it is possible to quickly address the badge issue over the winter, but we will see.
