I use the menu notifications to quickly see if I have any heroes I can upgrade, but the new “friend missions available” notification makes it very hard to tell the difference. Can we get an option to turn off specific kinds of notifications?

If you click on your character avatar in the bottom left corner of the main screen and then select settings, scroll down to push notifications and you can pick and choose exactly which notifications you do and don’t get from the game.
Nope, doesn’t work like that unfortunately.
The red dottiness is client implemented and came to an all time high after the last update. This is more than annoying imho.
I’d suggest to implement a list of friendship missions where you can prioritize similar to the list in friendship campaigns. Just add a Heart-Button to mark the mission. Problem solved.
