Surge Rewards Not Correct

I thought I had noticed a discrepancy in the surge rewards being paid out but kept forgetting to take screenshots. Finally remembered to do it today.

This photo shows how much I was expecting to earn from the previous surge:

This photo shows how much I was actually rewarded:

A friend of mine also has a similar experience where the two figures do not match. Is there an explanation as to why this happens or is it a bug?

First screenshot shows how much gold you earned DURING surge, second shows bonus gold of 88%.
Nothing here is wrong.

Your guild leader must buy perk which increases cap of surge tiers.

Oh so the amount in first photo is paid out during the surge and the amount in the second at the end of the surge?
