The Hydra (Hercules) - hero concept

Hercules seems to be getting a lot of love from Perbule nowadays so:

(Note: The Hydra is sized down to about as big as Sully ingame).

Name: The Hydra (or just “Hydra”).
Role: Tank
Position: Backline
Stars: 2
Quotes: “Roars”

Animations:

Basic attack: See passive.

Entrance: The Hydras headless body is already on the battlefield in it’s teams backline and sprouts 3 heads at the beginning of combat. The heads hang slightly ahead of the body in the midline with the necks being curved downwards.

Victory: All 7 heads sprout and grin at each other as one licks it’s lips.

Defeat: The hydras 3 heads fall off the body like when it was decapitated in the movie (minus the gore) and the body falls forward and lays flat for a second before disappearing.

Skills:

White Skill: “Devestating Rockslide” (Fantastic damage)

Passive: The Hydras body stays motionless in it’s teams backline. The body is the target that needs to be defeated by the opponents. The 3 heads float in the midline (Similar to Kaa but you can see the Hydra bending it’s neck instead of just being attached to something offscreen). The 3 heads do the attacking and deal fantastic damage instead of normal damage with their bite attacks. Each of the 3 heads has x hp , x armour and x reality and will retract into the body for the rest of the battle when defeated.The body itself cannot attack or move. If the body is defeated first by any means the heads will also immediately be defeated. The heads can be jumped over by heroes with skills that allow that and can be walked past by invisible heroes. Finally the heads automatically apply scare to all enemies at the beginning of combat for 10 seconds.

Active: The Hydra sprouts 4 more heads and the 7 heads roar in union scaring all enemies and then causing a massive rockslide to rain onto the enemy team dealing x fantastic damage to all enemies, removing any shields from enemies and healing the Hydras body by 20% of it’s max hp. The 4 additional heads immediately retract into the body after this skills use.

Green skill: “Hungry Monster” (Fantastic damage)

Once every 7 seconds the head with the least hp grabs the 2 opponents with the highest hp and holds them in it’s mouth , removing those characters from the fight for 5 seconds , dealing x fantastic damage over time for 5 seconds and healing both that head and the body per damage dealt over the 5 second duration. The head then spits the characters into their teams backline leaving them snared for 4 seconds.

Blue skill: 2 heads are better than one:


The first time a head reaches 10% of it’s max hp the other heads grant it a shield for 7 seconds. The head in question heals for every second of that 7 second duration up to a maximum of 75% of it’s max hp. Whilst the one head is healing the other heads negate any projectile that would otherwise hit it. This skill can only trigger once per head , per wave. There must be at least 2 active fighting heads for this skill to activate.

Purple skill: “Resprout”

The first time all 3 heads are defeated the last one retracts into the body and reappears alongside the other 2 with thier hp fully restored. This skill can only activate once per wave.

Red skill: “Bloodthirsty creature”

The Hydra heads and body are now immune to scare. The Hydras allies are also made immune to scare whilst it is still actively fighting. When the Hydra activates “Resprouting” all 3 heads are beserk for 5 seconds.

Battle badge:
Activation: When enemies are scared by any source.

  • Max HP to the Hydra body
  • Fantastic damage per tank role ally
    On activation: + Skill power

Friendships:

Hydra + Malificent:

  • Max hp
  • Reality
    The Hydra heads now apply snare for 2 seconds with their basic attacks.

Story: Malificent has a bet with Dr Faciler over who can get a minion character to cause the most mayhem. Malfificent attempts to recruit it but the Hydra is a mindless beast who causes destruction anyway including to Malficents domain.

Hydra + Phil

  • Attack speed to damage role allies
  • Evasion to each of the Hydra heads.
    The Hydra heads now apply curse with their basic attacks for 4 seconds.

Story: Phil accidentally falls onto the Hydras back and does everything in his power to stay stealthy whilst trying to escape as the Hydra randomly terrorises parts of the city.

B. Even if a backline tank didnt exist, it does not stop you from making a concept for one :thinking:

One thing: characters nowadays don’t have friendship campaigns with 2 characters from the same exact movie/series as them. This was only done with older heroes because of the limited options they had back then.

Cool concept and a very creative one at that

It’s not that unbelievable. Imagine Sully and boos height together. Hydra would one of the biggest characters for sure but it’s doable.

I was referring to the head mechanic it’s very interesting reminds me of Bunsen and beaker
