So is this new border suppose to only be useable with circular avatars? Because if so, the I don’t like that.

I suspect it’s both kinds, and the square icon is simply missing from the rewards screen 
Yes, it should be both. We made some changes so you don’t have to own both the square and the round to use it on square and round avatars.
