He saved 4 people, Quicksilver saved 22, a dog, 3 fish, landed a bullseye, saved a girl from getting a kiss… And all in 3 seconds.
Quicksilver didn’t let himself die for others.
Because there was no need to…
He saved all of them without dying.
The only person he didn’t save was Havoc, who was closest to the blast as he set it off, so Quicksilver couldn’t save him. But he saved 22 other people and a dog.
But Groot had to die twice. And both times, he died for/with his best friend Rocket. Groot is the best Guardian because he’s ready to lay down his life every time. Still, voting him out so he can reunite with Rocket like he did in Endgame.

I always felt like that scene cemented Pietro as one of the best MCU heroes. He didn’t have to do that, he had so much promise and potential in him, but he couldn’t live with himself if he let that family die in front of him. And he died with a smile. What a Chad. Will always miss him.
