Let it Go and Do you want to build a Snowman intensifies

I agree completely. Frozen is just a tad overrated. Wreck-It Ralph is one of my favorite Disney movies, right up besides A Goofy Movie at #2.

It is just popular. Nothing wrong with that. It is actually not clique. You used that term incorrectly.

Frozen was designed to break the Disney cliche, lol. So really the opposite!

I could go on about this for hours, but in short this mindset is just going with the crowd.

At its peak, everyone loved it, but then when a few people wanted to be different and say ā€˜itā€™s too popular for me to likeā€™, others followed.

Not because the content of the movie receives praise greater than the quality deserves (the actual meaning of the word overrated), but because people feel they need to be individuals and discredit popular content (in turn, discrediting their own individuality. Rather counterintuitive!).

Conclusion: Frozen doesnā€™t fare well in elimination games because, in the same sense that itā€™s lots of peopleā€™s first choice, for the others itā€™s their last choice. Itā€™s kind of a love it or hate it thing.

(P.S. not calling anyone out on their opinions or anything. Just usually when people call it overrated, they arenā€™t able to justify it in regards to the actual content of the movie, instead letting viewership define it. They only call it overrated because theyā€™ve heard other people call it overrated.)

This has been Frozen psychology, with LilRubyKinz. :snowflake:

Frozen is a great movie, just in my opinion, it gets a ton of credit and a few movies before it (for example Wreck-It Ralph) werenā€™t acknowledged as much anymore as it was before Frozen came out.

Honestly, I feel like if Let It Go wasnā€™t as overplayed as it was after the movie came out, there would be noticeably less hate for the movie itself.

Not saying thatā€™s the ONLY reason for why the movie is so heavily disliked, but I imagine it definitely didnā€™t help the movieā€™s reputation any.

Let It Go has looped in my mind ever since I watched the movie the year it came outā€¦

That might be true, but Iā€™m quite comfortable loving both movies. Popularity one way or another does not affect my interests.

Thereā€™s room in my heart for both!

Not just that it was overplayed, but that there were people convincing everyone that they thought it was being overplayed, so everyone else should think that too.

Me, I still listen to it every day. :sunglasses:

I realize this is just one of the drawbacks of being too popular for its own good!

Thatā€™s not what I meant. The film broke the Disney cliche (even through Tangled did it first). I acknowledge that 100%. My point is, people hating on the movie is a cliche and is tired at this point. Itā€™s almost a decade old now, people move on to bigger and better movies, like Tangled.

Ah, I see what you mean. Indeed it is cliche!

But Tangled is a decade oldā€¦

I think both are timeless. Tangled is my second favourite movie. After all, Rapunzel was technically in Frozen too :upside_down_face:

Tangled is an amazing movie, half of it being Flynn Rider and the other characters, also with its great storytelling and staying true to the original while doing out of the box ideas, which is great. Itā€™s a very creative story and one I have watched multiple times.

Frozen is a great movie too, and it did a lot of that, too. Had great characters like Hans and Kristoff, and Elsa was a cool character too (haha get it? Cool?), it also stayed true to its original story while being creative. A lot of characters are funny and memorable, making a great movie.

Itā€™s aged much better though. Frozen feels like itā€™s a decade old. Tangled feels like it just came out yesterday. But still, Frozen II is really one of my personal favorite movies now. Kristoff is just so relatable and iconic to me

I would say they have both aged very well. There is a lot that both of the movies accomplish animation-wise and story-wise, and both of them are classics that should be remembered.

Yeah I guess itā€™s a matter of opinion, but personally I feel like Tangled has aged just as well as any other Disney Animation of its time.

Frozen has stayed on top for a long time, so by sheer numbers, Iā€™d have to say Frozen wins that battle.

Though Tangled has made a recent resurgence, thanks to its kingdom sharing a name with a certain something :yum:

Hmmmā€¦I canā€™t say I know what that meansā€¦, lol, what has 2020 done to usā€¦

I actually am doing something with Tangled for a speech thing and my intro is all about a fake conspiracy I made up that the movie predicted coronavirus.
