Treasure Planet Appreciation Thread

I do not remember anyone saying that about TP. But I do remember you saying that about Frozen (along with some dozens more negative adjectives as well).

And you called us biased…

Trying to have a friendly discussion with you isn’t harassing or attacking or all the other verbs-ing you.

Frozen lovers doesn’t equal TP haters. But I get why you might think that since for you TP lovers does equal Frozen haters so obviously Frozen lovers think the same as you (this is sarcasm in case you don’t understand.)

Oh really? Am i?

string of adjectives ending in frozen hate

treat like classic disney ending in hate

It flopped, unlike…ending in hate.

So you hate Frozen cuz it succeeded, but you love Treasure Planet because it…

Frozen—>Successful, Allyssa:Hates.
Treasure Planet—>Failed, Alyssa: Loves…

You love it cuz it failed.

I understand that it’s underrated, you have made that point clear since your rampage

What you don’t understand is David’s question: Why do you love Treasure Planet? What scene do you like? Which characters can you relate to? BE SPECIFIC

This thread is honestly useless now.
@Polaris, plz close this topic before things get worse.

Yeah I don’t think Polaris will see this until tomorrow, leaving plenty of time for things to get worse.

And once again, you’re either misinterpreting or twisting everything that I said into something that’s not what I actually meant. You’re not only embarrassing yourself, but you’re also making yourself look bad that way. So stop that right now.

All this beating around the bush is getting no where.

I am going to be as direct as possible.

Alyssa, Shut up and listen.

I think you have not watched Frozen, and, I think you have not even watched Treasure Planet. I think you are a pathetic fool who wanted to feel special and so you found a movie few people seem to care about, and decided to ‘love it’.

You never watched Treasure Planet. You never watched Jim Hawkins change over the course of the movie, or get the father figure he needed. You never watched the struggles he has been facing all his life, how rejected he feels, how utterly alone he is, how this man welcomed him, and treated him like a son, discplined him, but loved him, then the utter shock of betrayal as he found that this second father, was lying to him all the time.

You never watched the struggles of greed and love that poured out from silver, before he chose the latter in the end. You never watched any of it.

Then you come here, and act all big, about a movie you never even watched.

You know what I think? I think that the legit reason you love that movie is because it was relatable. It was a failure, it shouldn’t have been, but it was. And so are you.

Go ahead, ignore this comment and rant about the twisted peeps in Frozen’s fanbase. At least they watched the movie they are parading through the world.

Mr/s. Thesaurus we asked you for why you like Treasure Planet not why you think Frozen is overrated :man_facepalming:

I may not have seen Frozen, but I have actually seen Treasure Planet. The majority of the reviews for TP that I read online before I even watched it for the first time ever were positive and it continues to receive more positive reviews than mixed and negative ones to this day. And the majority of the reviews for Frozen that I read and watched online from people who aren’t shills nor do they lack a good sense of quality were mixed to negative at best.

Yes I have. I’ve already seen it all and I loved it so much. Stop lying.

How am I a failure? You don’t even know who I actually am. So why must you judge me this way?

And they loved it for all the wrong reasons.

Had I not actually watched and enjoyed TP, I wouldn’t even be making this appreciation thread in the first place.

@Alyssa1, they are literally calling you out for being rude and disrespectful. We are trying to be respectful as possible toward your opinions but you aren’t giving us the same respect.

If I was, then he would say so.

So you looked at all the Comments for Treasure Planets but only the ones you wanted too for Frozen? Tsk Tsk. That there is prejudice.

Oh? Who is your favorite character.

Cuz I can see how you act here, and if this is how you act irl, then you must be a failure, what else could you be?

I think you love Treasure Planet for all the wrong reasons, how bout that?

I love them all.

Wow, dude. Just wow. Why do you have to keep misinterpreting and twisting every single thing that I said into something that’s actually not true at all?

Why though

Let me get you a breakdown of characters.

Silver is the dad figure, but also a mutinous pirate.

Jim is the teenager looking for adventure

Amelia is the captain of the vessel.

And Dr. Dolbert is the crazy science officer.

Personally I didn’t care for Dr. Dolbert.

I loved Amelia and her cat-like grace.

This is what you have been dping to others here, especially @LilRubyKinz. Why is it only bad when I do it?

why don’t you tell me what is not wrong with him. What did you like about him?

No, you are twisting it to fit your statements, Frozen was a great movie, so was Treasure Planet, no matter what you say about it.

They can both be great movies you know, or would you?

Like with all forms of art, there really is no objectivity when it comes to how good a movie is. It is up to the viewer’s discretion, which means it is fine for you to think that Frozen is is not good, and for others to think that it is good and everyone be equally valid in their assessment of the film.

You two are not going to get anywhere with the “no u” argument.

Tell me what you liked about Dr. Dolbert.

You are not a victim of insulting or bullying here. We are merely having a discussion about opinions of movies. And if I recall many of your criticisms about Frozen are your opinions. Opinions do not equal facts.

How can you call yourself a real Disney fan if you are putting down other Disney fans. How can you call yourself a real Disney fan if you are being so rude when discussing Disney movies. Real Disney fans are kind to each other.

And we aren’t twisting your words. Do you always start attacking and accusing others when they try to have a discussion with you?

And we do know what makes a Disney movie good. That’s why we like Disney movies. But everyone has their own opinions on Disney movies and that is fine.

You said our love for Frozen is childish and biased and makes us hateful and toxic but isn’t your hate for Frozen absolutely the same? You say we’re letting emotions get the best of us, but your anger and hate us also getting their best of you.

And like all movies there are good and bad reviews. And we like Frozen since the animation is great and many of us can relate to the characters. That’s a good reason I think and it’s definitely not wrong.

You can say Frozen is terrible all you want but that doesn’t change the fact it’s your opinion.

And we aren’t saying TP is bad but we’re saying Frozen is good. You are the one bringing the negativity to this thread.
