Trick or Treat contest Extension?

Hi,

I would like to ask if it’s possible to receive an extension for the trick and treat contest. It’s almost impossible to achieve it without having Hades and so many players don’t have Hades. Even the ones having Hades can’t get it without spending diamonds which so many of us again don’t have. Also apparently some users had the chance to do city watch twice in a day because of the change in daylight saving time but many of us missed that window.
I would really appreciate if the team would kindly give us some extra days to get those sweet Sully memories.

Yes. there is no way to get 1mil points unless we all have Hades and stored 2 CW reset.

We too, but it’s not enough to reach 1 million points with even 4 heroes, let alone 3 :frowning:

It’s highly unlikely they would extend it… Having it go past halloween wouldn’t make sense theme-wise, plus we did have a week for it which is a lot more generous then the usual contests.

I prefer this kind of contest to any other they have done. On S3 we have less than 10 people that have hit 1 mil, a nice slow pace with great progress rewards.

With 4 heroes you can easily reach 1 million.
With 3 it’s not, but you can come close.

You can do 8 CW runs during the contest (9 if you have the extra perk).

4 heroes gives 144k per run x8 = 1152k
3 heroes gives 108k per run x 8 = 864k
(9 runs = 972k)

If you manage 972k, you’re missing only 28k which can get by farming 47 purple bits. It’s quite achievable.

With 864k you need over 200 purple bits which is quite hard without extensive stam usage.

In the end I think 1 extra day would make a big difference and be good for all players in achieving final tier reward.

As ReapersFury said, I find it unlikely they’ll do so though.

I think it would also be “generous” if it was achievable and I also don’t agree with your second statement, any policy that makes the game more pay to play or pay to win is in my opinion a bad decision :slight_smile:

We don’t need an extension, 6 days is plenty of time.

This is far easier to achieve than the fortify the network contests.

After this there will be a 1 day break before the next weekend event.

If you consider this contest p2w, you must not like any of the contests. This is by far one of the most f2p friendly contests with good rewards we’ve had. 3 out of 4 heroes are characters have been available since release, and the 4th is a 1 star character that anybody has a chance at getting from a free crate.

Almost all the other contests require spending to get to the max reward, and only give 3 days to do it. This one is achievable for MANY more people than contests usually are.

its achieveable by 80% of player. even its not achieveable you already receive sweet progress reward from 40k point to 670k point (not to mention gold from rank)

i see zero problem from this contest. one of the best contest for a while

Most of us has 6 run only. Where to get 8 run in 6 days?

While the contest lasts 6 days, it stretches over 7 days. You can also bank 1 by default.
This gives you a total of 8.

For contest we get the 1 day to prepare, so it’s quite achievable with some planning.

Just look at the rankings and you’ll see how wring you are. only 2 more days left and only 14 people have achieved the final goal. Probably the people who don’t think twice before spending roughly 100 dollars for rewards.
Just look at the numbers in rankings and you will see many players who won’t even achieve the final goal will be in top 1%!!!
I know we have had worse contests but I just thought of asking for an extension.

why would they extend it? It’s not mandatory that each contest be easy to complete

Basically I just wanted to point out the issue here which many people are facing.

While i would have loved an extension of the event, i would like to point out that the event is indeed achievable even without Hades. All you really need is proper planning and possibly a little cooperation.

PerBlue is already giving lots of help in the form of thematic event (namely the power up, special crate and stamina purchase boost). Some of them would require diamond but they are still affordable. Furthermore, there have been word that an event’s gonna happen way before the 12 hr notice, so you should have already started to save up since then.

As for Hades, you don’t need to have it. As long as half your guild have it, you can possibly get it as well via merc hire. You simply have to communicate with your guild. And seeing as how it is for city watch, you just need to keep him alive throughout for max bonus, as opposed to surge where he’s only usable for 1 battle. This could be why surge wasn’t included in the scoring this time round. Otherwise event heroes would quickly be snatched up in the surge.

As for the top 1%, i believe by the end of the event, they would all have made the 1M mark (at least on my server). While they are not quite there yet, a simple projection of their current points and the days elapsed since the start would put them there.

All that being said, i still wish they could extend the event. Cos i made a few major blunder in the first 2 days and it’s gonna cost me almost all my saved up items to hit the 1M mark. Lol. :joy:

Perhaps take the opportunity to learn something instead of ignoring it. Before the contest is over I’ll have done 10 city watch runs.

Believe it or not, there’s no fine either way, but there might be a reward :wink:.
