Turning Red - Thoughts?

So… Turning Red has released today (I doubt many people here have watched it already, I have though). I wanted to know, what do you guys think of it? My personal opinion: This is definitely an improvement over the last 3 movies from Pixar (Onward was good, Soul was actually pretty good but Luca just didn’t do it for me).

So… what is your opinion?

Definitely a fun movie, really nice.

Big improvement since their last “movie”… umm failure.
Kind of Encanto vibes with the family part plot, which is nice, they did it their own way. Enjoyable movie, with humor.

I think this movie should come the game how that

I heard the movie just made the Simpsons reference.
I watched it right now!(No spoilers to disappoint every men and women)

You mean the movie that is up for an academy award?

Anyway, It has vibes of both Encanto and Beauty and the Beast (or Luca if you want a Pixar comparison). All and all, not a bad little movie.

So? Luca is bad.

idk bro im sorry

One among Pixar’s many masterpieces. I enjoyed every second of it (even thought powering through the start was a stretch), and all in all, it’s definitely an engaging coming-of-age story.

Just because it’s nominated for an academy award doesn’t make it good

look at suicide squad for an example, and i mean the 2016 one

I really liked it, it is funny and keeps you entertained and has a good life lesson or two.

Reminder that these movies are aimed at kids, not 80/90’s babies who like to watch animation films.

I would argue that any animation buff, born in the 80s and 90s or not, would be permitted to watch it. Besides, it’s set in the early 2000s, so there’s definitely some moments of reminiscence.

They didn’t said they are not allowed to watch it, just that they are not the main aim, just like horror movies aren’t aimed for 10 year olds.

Mainly for late 90’s and 00’s kids. And as for it, it was for me quite nostalgic too.

100% agree, I myself fall into that category and love animations
but sometimes I feel like some people are too critique on animations - if you want a intricate story line with plot twists and suspense watch a Bond film.

I saw turning red yesterday and It was so funny like Incredibles 2; not gonna lie but Pixar is the best animation studios I look at a lot of websites and it says that Pixar is the number one animation studios behind Walt Disney animation studios

It was a fine enough movie. Good comedy, muddled narrative.

Luca was far more engrossing and enjoyable, overall. Better setting, better characters, better story.

That’s fine. We’re all entitled to our own opinions.

Frankly, it is the absolute WORST animation I’ve ever seen. You couldn’t even pay me to sit through a whole trailer for that utter GARBAGE! It actually makes me sad, to know that the company that made great-looking films like Tangled, Coco, and the Incredibles films is now making filth like this. After all, good quality animation was one of the things that used to make Disney so great. I’m terrible at drawing and even I could animate people better than that.

Er… Pixar didn’t make Tangled.
