I messaged support, asking them if there is a way to silence this announcement,and they said no. They also advised me to make the suggestion here in the feedback forums. I understand there are other threads on this topic, but I know we’re not supposed to post on old threads… I’ve talked to a few ppl about this and have some ppl who hate the chat announcement,and some who adore it. So it seems the best option is to be able to turn it off individually? Also, ppl keep saying guild leaders can turn it off, but that is not the case. Guild leaders can only turn off the auto post for help requests.
But it should… was in patch notes like year ago.

Just warn your guild lol. I spammed chat with 60 red skills. It’s not a big deal
Well some of us it bothers a lot. Js, it’s a quality of life in game some would really appreciate. Others enjoy it, that’s why my suggestion was an individual option
I know you can stop guild aid announcements maybe that what you and Jody are getting confused with ??
No that was always a thing as far I as can remember (and have been playing)
But there really isn’t this option for red skills… (and it is welcome)

In smaller guilds it’s just constant. Nonstop. Kills/swamps the chat

With a more active guild chat goes to quick anyway. Guess it would be more of a problem in a less active guild

It really is. And we used to have a much busier chat, but with members growing it’s just nothing but red skill unlocks nonstop. Spam up the ykw
Anyway… I know that red skills used to post a message to guild chat not just when they were unlocked, but every time their level went up. You can imagine how quickly that became unbearable. I haven’t found any reference to when that “feature” was removed, though. I suspect maybe that’s the cause of confusion over whether guilds can turn off even the red skill unlock messages, but it’s hard to say for sure.
