I’m trying to beat chapter 54 (Level 5), but I hit a massive brick on the 1st wave. On the 1st wave, I see that Manticore (Mu) possibly insta killed my whole team for some reason. I tried using Mad Hatter, but nothing really worked. Then I used Angel, it didn’t work either. Can some help me out with this situation, or is this a bug?
There’s also Mary Sanderson(Lo), who Hexes your entire team at the start of the fight. Does your Mad Hatter have a maxed red skill?
Not yet. I need to keep collecting a lot of red skill chips and hero chips for Mad Hatter to max it out.

Someone else may be able to give a better suggestion, but from what I see you’ve got two possible choices:

If you’ve got a decent Donald with a maxed purple skill, you can try using him, Megara(Sh), and three heroes that line up in front of Donald; hopefully Donald will block the hex from applying to those three heroes, and if they’re strong enough (having Zeus(Ha), Shego, or Dash will help) they can take out Manticore before she wipes out your team.

Build a team around reflect and heroes that don’t need their white skills to do massive damage, e.g. Megara(Sh), Ian(Go), Disgust, King Louie(An), Carl(Ma). That’s going to require luck and/or good timing, and you may not be able to three-star the level, but hopefully you’ll be able to grind your way through it. (The next stage has another Manticore, but thankfully no more Mary.)
If neither of those work, you can try some desperation measures like Pacha(Kr) to increase your team’s HP or Daisy(Do) to lower the other team’s skill power. It may take some playing around to find heroes you can use to survive that Manticore/Mary pairing, but hopefully you can work something out.

Really depends what heroes you have to work with. In any case, Tron can make your frontmost ally ignore the hex, so if you have a heavy hitter like Bolt or Zeus just make sure they are up front
