Better question, why did they need moved in the first place? Before they were always at the top or close enough, now i have change the filter and still scroll down to them. It’s very irritating.

I strongly suspect that the change was made so that all the crates would be grouped together in one’s inventory, rather than scattered among one’s consumables. That part of the change is, I think, a good thing.
As to why they were moved so far down the screen, though, I don’t know. That part of the change I do find somewhat annoying.
