Why are you driving people away?!

A few weeks ago, Top 200 in my Server was guaranteed Top 1%, meaning we had at least 20,000 active players - now Top 1% are 1 to 134, meaning we have about 13,400 active players - you’ve driven away 6,600 players, that’s about 33% gone in a few weeks!

So many other posts have pointed out how much of a let down the Christmas event was, after all the build up for a “very special Christmas week”… Other posts complain about the Pay To Win elements of so many “Contests” and “Deals”…

But really, while they may be factors, I think the major issue is that you have not scaled the natural energy recovery rate or the badge and hero drop rates in line with the introduction of new heroes, making the entire experience soooo much of a grind now, and people are simply fatigued because there are too many heroes to focus on and not enough resources to keep them updated - either the energy needs to recover quicker, or drop rates for certain things need to increase - because with 40+ heroes now and the same resources available, progression is half the speed it was when there were 20+ heroes…

The natural energy regeneration rate desperately needs to be adjusted…not to mention the horrible christmas event. Todays triple drop was better than the whole event !

Its been said a thousand times this is not pokemon. You dont have to max out everyone there is that is absurd. Pick your top 15 or 20 and focus on them if you see someone new you like and you can add them in go for it. I do agree the rates should be adjusted a little but not because of “all the new ppl” i think its ridiculous how much ppl complain because they cant max everyone out. There is hundreds of disney movies out. Why wouldnt they add hundreds of ppl? Theres still plenty of ppl id still like to see. Them adding more ppl means other have to do the same grinding to get them up or pay the same money. Im also tired of seeing the same 10 ppl in challenger arena so yes i welcome new heroes. It will make ppl slowdown at the top trying to build the new ppl and also offer new combinations to fight with.

I think a better argument should be that rates should be adjusted because to work on a higher purple badge or orange badge that requires 10-12 energy per raid. So I’ll get about 15 of them and get MAYBE 3 badge pieces. That’s like…not really an okay ratio to me. Very frustrating for something that’s going to require 50 pieces.

This only makes sense until you do some friend campaigns. Suddenly you realize those characters you neglected need a massive power bump and you have to spend days getting them leveled up to help one of your main characters get their friendship disk. So yes, you do need to work on maxing them all out.

My shank is one star and im on ep 6 the only one i really have leveled is al. The rest are par at best. They made the friendships easier for that reason. Beside so what if you have to spend time leveling one person to level another that how games work. It gives you more to do. I think what a lot of you are failing to realize is that some of us have been playing for a while and have been stuck in arenas for some time with all the same lineups. Anyone who has been stuck in p3 or p2 or has made it to challenger knows what im talking about. I for one am tired of seeing everyone with the same teams. Everyone is too easy to counter right now and the more ppl to choose from offers more strategy to who you choose for defending. It also mean you cant just level everyone you have to plan it out and level accordingly. If you know you want a person on your team check who they will need to get their disk ahead of time and level them as well. I use the tia/yax disk and anyone that knows me knows i dont like yax but i still leveled him because i knew i would need him to get the disk.

In the 4 weeks since posting this, we have apparently lost about another 2,000 active users, as the Top 1% in Contests are now only up to 115th place… Which means that in ths past 2 months we’ve lost nearly 50% of our active users…

Terrible drop rates for hero chips and badges, terrible Christmas Event, constant “Fortify Our Bank Accounts” contests and the rise of Gold costs for hero skills seems to be the main trends…

Anyone else been tracking their weekly contests to see how many (or how FEW) actually make it into the 1% these days?

I don’t blame them. I actually HATE this game. It’s boring, it’s unfair, and it keeps crashing. I only play this game because Disney Infinity was cancelled, and Kingdom Hearts games take forever to make.

Well, Kingdom Hearts 3 does come out in 3 days, or now two days if you live in Europe ;-). Really looking forward to Kingdom Hearts 3 personally ^^.

But yeah, can say that it seem to have been a big decrease in active players in Server 5 as well. I think the number that were last in the 1% range were 58 from what I saw and that’s really little.

I do have to keep in mind that it is probably not the total of active players as they might just not have logged in and played Disney Heroes these 2 days, but still definitely a lot less people in Server 5 than before.
Partly due to that server 5 is an old server and don’t often get new people joining as they likely rather join the newest servers where it is easier for them to catch up,

We will see on if PerBlue eventually merge servers or not, but might not be a bad idea at this point,
