New Refresh Concept: Scar
This poor, starving kitty needs food! Scar wants so badly to be a stealthy ambush DPS, but he has next to nothing that lets him do that, and so right now he does almost nothing. Let’s help this sneaky cat be the stealthy terror he clearly wants to be!
The Refresh
General
- Scar’s badges have been adjusted to give him 65% Armor Negation and 80% Crit Damage at most Red and Yellow ranks.
Base Stats
- Basic damage increased by 125%
- Skill power increased by 75%
- HP increased by 100%
- Base attack speed increased by 20%
- Base movement speed increased by 25%
Skills
White Skill - Long Live the King
- Increased damage by 300%
- Silence duration increased to 9 seconds
- Now Stuns enemies that are Scared
- Both the Silence and the Stun resist Evasion and Tenacity
"Scar roars, dealing X damage to all enemies and Silencing them for 9 seconds. Scared enemies are instead Stunned for 9 seconds.
While Scar is Prowling, this attack also Scares all enemies for 12 seconds.
The Silence and Stun cannot be dodged, Evaded, or have their durations reduced by Tenacity."
Green Skill - A Matter of Pride
- Increased damage by 500%
- Now deals 30% additional damage per 5% missing HP
- Initial cooldown reduced by 0.75 seconds
- Cooldown is reset when Scar reduces an enemy to 25% HP
"Scar bites the closest enemy, dealing X damage. This does 40% more damage for every 5% HP the enemy is missing. The remaining cooldown of this ability is reduced by 100% when Scar reduces an enemy below 25% HP.
While Scar is Prowling, this ability instead targets the enemy with the lowest maximum HP."
Blue Skill - Be Prepared
- This ability now activates again each time an enemy is KO’d, lasting longer if Scar himself dealt the finishing blow
"Scar begins combat Prowling, becoming Invisible for the first 12 seconds of combat and receiving 75% less damage from all sources while Prowling.
When an enemy is KO’d, Scar begins Prowling again for 8 seconds. If Scar was the one to KO the enemy, the duration increases to 12 seconds.
While Prowling, Scar is untargetable. The damage reduction from Prowling is less effective when damaged by enemies above level X."
Purple Skill - The Lion’s Share
- Scar now exclusively targets the enemy with the lowest maximum HP while Prowling, ignoring Distract effects
"Scar is healed for 35% of all the damage he deals.
In addition, while Prowling, Scar will focus his attacks on the enemy with the lowest maximum HP and will ignore all Distract effects for the duration.
The healing amount is reduced when damaging enemies above level X."
Red Skill - On the Prowl
- Instead of Stunning enemies, the effect instead grants 6 seconds of Prowling
- Bonus Prowling damage also dealt to Scared enemies
- Stat bonuses unchanged
"When Scar deals 10% or more of an enemy’s maximum HP in damage, he enters the Prowling state for 6 seconds.
While Scar is Prowling, he deals 150% more damage to Silenced or Scared enemies.
The extra damage has a chance to fail against enemies above level X."

Disk #1 - Maleficent
- Current Level Effect: Basic Damage bonus increased by 200%
- Added Level Effect: +X Skill Power
- Current Star Effect: Duration increased to 8 (+1 per additional star) seconds and can activate 3 times per wave
- Added Star Effect: The Lion’s Share now heals Scar for 40% (+5% per additional star) of the damage he deals when he activates Prowling from this disk.
Disk #2 - The Queen of Hearts
- Current Level Effect: Basic Damage bonus increased by 300% and now applies to Scar and allies
- Added Level Effect: +X Armor
- Added Level Effect: +X Maximum HP
- Added Star Effect: A Matter of Pride now immediately KO’s enemies that are at or below 5% (+3.75% per additional star) of their maximum HP.

"Genie’s 2nd wish now grants 8 seconds of Invincibility in addition to healing.
Genie’s 3rd wish now grants 650 energy in addition to healing.

"The Attack Speed of allies and Genie being healed over time are increased by 50%.

It doesn’t make sense for Genie to grant his own wish, regardless of game mechanic…
He’s meant to be used alongside Ariel or Timon. Making him OP on his own would make those combos absolutely ridiculous.
And no one’s using Vinny, let alone going whaling to max out his Red skill. Come on, now.
Then so, neither nobody is using Genie just for that combo, waste of a slot.

Aladdin, on the other hand, is terrible. Mind-bogglingly terrible. Possibly even in-dire-need-of-a-full-on-rework terrible. Let’s get crackin’!

- Bonus damage to Magic Carpet Ride now applies to all enemies, not just Control role enemies

How 'bout next, can you do Maleficent? (She’s literally the worst control in the game and she SUCKS)
I think Oogie Boogie could use a refresh. He has synergy, but it doesn’t feel like he offers as much to the table as he could.
New Refresh Concept: Shan Yu
Shan Yu is supposed to be a frontline terror who makes his enemies regret putting up Shields, but he isn’t very good at doing either of those, since he dies too quickly, doesn’t do very much damage, and his anti-Shield bonuses aren’t nearly potent enough to truly punish Shield users. You know what time it is. Let’s do it!
The Refresh
Base Stats
- Basic damage increased by 100%
- Skill power increased by 85%
- HP increased by 55%
Skills
White Skill - Volley of Arrows
- Increased base damage by 150%
- Energy gain increased to 250
- Now immediately destroys Shield effects instead of dealing damage to them, Stunning enemies for 6 seconds when they have a Shield destroyed
"Shan Yu calls in a volley of arrows, dealing X damage to all enemies. If any enemy has a Shield on them, the Shield is immediately destroyed before the damage is dealt and the enemy is Stunned for 6 seconds.
Shan Yu also gains 250 Energy each time an enemy receives a Shield."
Green Skill - Fierce Falcon
- Reworked slightly: Hayabusa will Study all enemies before striking all enemies
- Increased damage by 100%
- Cooldown adjusted to 5 seconds
- Study duration is now shown in the ability text
- Now heals Shan Yu each time Hayabusa deals damage
"Shan Yu’s falcon, Hayabusa, flies overhead. Every 5 seconds, Hayabusa Studies all enemies for 9 seconds before swooping in to deal X damage to all enemies.

Blue Skill - Slashing Strike
- Now targets all nearby enemies
- Shielded enemies instead have their Shields destroyed and are Pierced for 8 seconds
"Shan Yu swipes at nearby enemies in a rage, dealing X damage and Stunning them for 11 seconds. This ability destroys enemy Shields before dealing damage, and enemies that had a Shield destroyed by this attack are also Pierced for 8 seconds.
Pierced enemies take 6% of their maximum HP in True damage each time they take Normal damage. Damage over time effects can only trigger this damage once per second.
The Pierce has a chance to fail against enemies above level X."
Purple Skill - Always in Command
- Basic damage increased by 50%
- Now also increases Shan Yu’s Armor Negation
- Can now trigger multiple times
“Each time Shan Yu is reduced below 50% of his maximum HP, his Armor Negation and Tenacity are increased by 50, and his Basic Damage is increased by X for the rest of the wave. This effect can stack without limit.”
Red Skill - Bow to Me
- Attack Speed buff is now permanent and stacks up to 6 times
- Slashing Strike now always Pierces
- Increased damage over time effect by 100%, and no longer requires enemies to be Shielded to apply
- Hayabusa now also breaks Shields, applying 3 stacks of Weakness to affected enemies
- Bonus Basic Damage increased by 75%
- Bonus HP increased by 60%

New Refresh Concept: Maleficent
Maleficent is bad and her stats and abilities are the big sad. This so-called “mistress of all evil” really needs a kick in the pants to live up to the title she gave herself.
The Refresh
General
- Maleficent’s badges have been radically altered to give her 45% Reality Negation, 95% Fantastic Crit, 40% Crit Damage, and 70% Tenacity at most Red and Yellow ranks.
Base Stats
- Basic damage increased by 150%
- Skill power increased by 100%
- HP increased by 125%
Skills
White Skill - Dragon Fire
- Increased damage by 150%
- Now hits all enemies
- New effect: Scares all enemies for 10 seconds before dealing damage
- New effect: Deals additional Fantastic damage over 8 seconds
“Maleficent transforms into a dragon and breathes fire, Scaring all enemies for 10 seconds before dealing X damage to them, as well as an additional X damage over 8 seconds.”
Green Skill - Forest of Thorns
- Increased damage by 300%
- Relocated effect: This ability affecting all Cursed enemies is now baseline
- Initial cooldown reduced by 1 second and total cooldown reduced by 2 seconds
“Maleficent summons thorn bushes that entangle the enemy with the most HP, Stunning them for 6 seconds and damaging them for X damage over 6 seconds. This ability will also affect all Cursed enemies.”
Blue Skill - Fog of Doom
- Now Sleeps all enemies instead of Stunning them
- New effect: Enemies lose Energy each second they are asleep
- Cooldown reduced by 2 seconds
"Maleficent places a Sleep spell on all enemies. While Sleeping, enemies are Stunned until they take 25% of their current HP in damage. Once the Sleep ends, enemies are then Slowed by 60% for 6 seconds.
Additionally, enemies lose 50 Energy each second while Sleeping.
This ability has a chance to fail against enemies above level X."
Purple Skill - Mistress of All Evil
- Curse duration increased to 12 seconds
- Curse effectiveness increased to 75%
- New effect: Dragon Fire now applies Burning to the enemy
"Enemies damaged by Dragon Fire or Forest of Thorns are now Cursed for 12 seconds. Cursed enemies have all healing received reduced by 75%.
Additionally, Dragon Fire also inflicts Burning on affected enemies for 8 seconds. Burning causes the target to take 100% increased damage from damage over time effects for the duration.
The Curse and Burning effects have a chance to fail against enemies above level X."
Red Skill - Cast My Spell
- Level requirement removed from Tenacity reduction
- New effect: Maleficent’s basic attacks now hit random enemies but will prioritize Tank role enemies
- New effect: Maleficent gains Attack Speed for each Cursed enemy
- New effect: Burning enemies deal reduced damage
- Stat bonuses unchanged

- Added Star Effect: 20% (+20% per additional star) of the Energy removed by Fog of Doom is given to and divided among Maleficent and her allies.
Disk #2 - Jack Skellington
- Current Level Effect: Forest of Thorns bonus damage increased by 200%
- Added Level Effect: +X Basic Damage
- Current Star Effect: Nearby enemies damaged by Forest of Thorns will now always be Cursed by Mistress of All Evil.
- Added Star Effect: Maleficent is healed for 5% (+5% per additional star) of all damage dealt by Forest of Thorns.
So up to this point, I haven’t been making use of Wakkatu’s tools to add relevant stat bonuses from Red Skills into the damage calculation, and in Maleficent’s case…it turns out those bonuses were extremely relevant and made a huge difference. For example, adding in the Skill Power bonus from her Red Skill made Dragon Fire jump up from ~15m damage to ~40m damage. Which is wild.
So from here on out, the damage increases I propose will have the maxed Red Skill in mind.
