New Refresh Concept: The Horned King
Oof. Big, big oof. The Horned King is easily the worst hero release since Sarah Sanderson, who herself may have been the worst hero release in the game’s history. Nearly everything about him is wrong. His entire kit depends on soldiers that he may never even be able to summon–at least Billy has the courtesy to be on the field from the start of battle! We’re gonna get our hands dirty and make this terrifying tyrant the bone-chilling monster we all wanted him to be!

Base Stats
- Basic Damage increased by 30%
- HP increased by 25%
Skills
White Skill - Cauldron Born
- Increased soldiers’ HP by 150%
- This ability now summons 2 Cauldron Born when activated
- New effect: The Horned King starts each wave with 1 Cauldron Born summoned
- New effect: The Cauldron Born cannot take more than 15% of their maximum HP in damage per hit
"The Horned King summons two Cauldron Born soldiers from the Black Cauldron. Each soldier has X HP, X Reality, and X Armor. Each soldier deals X Fantastic Damage with their Basic Attacks. Cauldron Born soldiers cannot take more than 15% of their maximum HP in damage in a single hit.
The Horned King can have up to 5 soldiers at a time. If the Horned King uses this Skill while he has the maximum amount of soldiers, he grants the soldier with the lowest HP 25% more maximum HP and fully heals it.
The Horned King starts each wave with 1 soldier already summoned. Cauldron Born soldiers count as allies and target the closest enemy to them when they spawn."
Green Skill - Wicked Cackle
- Scare duration increased to 12 seconds
- Initial cooldown reduced by 1 second
- New effect: Also Slows all enemies by 55%
- New effect: The Horned King gains Reality Negation per Scared enemy
- New effect: Increases the Attack Speed of Cauldron Born soldiers by 55%
"The Horned King cackles, applying 5 stacks of Fatigue to all enemies. This also Slows all enemies by 55% and Scares them for 12 seconds.
The Horned King gains 15% Reality Negation for each enemy Scared by this ability.
The Cauldron Born soldiers have their Attack Speeds increased by 55% while any enemy is Scared by this ability.
The Fatigue has a chance to fail against enemies above level X."
Blue Skill - Arise!
- Now heals all allies, granting 100% more healing per Cauldron Born
- New effect: Cauldron Born soldiers become Berserk for 5 seconds
"Green mist emerges from the Black Cauldron, healing all allies for X HP. The Horned King and his allies then deal X bonus Fantastic damage with their basic attacks for 8 seconds. This ability’s healing is increased by 100% for each Cauldron Born soldier on the field.
The Cauldron Born also become Berserk for 5 seconds after this ability is used."
Purple Skill - Dark and Powerful
- Bonus damage now stacks per ally, not just per soldier
- New effect: When the Horned King is reduced to 0 HP, he consumes his soldiers to become Invincible and heal to max HP before summoning 3 more soldiers
"Cauldron Born soldiers deal X bonus Fantastic damage with their basic attacks for every ally they have on the battlefield.
When the Horned King is reduced to 0 HP, any summoned Cauldron Born are eliminated and the Horned King is restored to full HP, becoming Invincible for 4 seconds. Once he is healed, the Horned King summons 3 Cauldron Born soldiers. This effect can only trigger once per wave."
Red Skill - Thirst for Evil
"Whenever the Horned King or his Cauldron Born soldiers would crit a Scared enemy, they super crit them instead. The Horned King and his soldiers heal for X HP each time they super crit an enemy.
Each time an enemy is KO’d, the Horned King raises a Cauldron Born soldier. Soldiers summoned in this way do not count toward the 5 soldier limit."

- Current Level Effect: Bonus healing increased by 400%
- Added Level Effect: +X Basic Damage
- Current Star Effect: Effect is now triggered with every Cauldron Born basic attack
Disk #2 - Disgust
- Current Star Effect: Removed limit on how often Energy gain can be triggered
