Esmeralda (The Hunchback of Notre Dame)
Beautiful, fiery, and intelligent, Esmeralda charms most foes into submission, and those that aren’t smitten by her wiles will be smitten by the charging horns of her pet goat, Djali.
Role: Control
Position: Middle
Trial Team: Blue
“Let’s see, there’s one, two, three, four, five…ten of you, and only one of me. What’s a poor girl to do?”
Basic Animations
Entrance: Out of the whoosh of a flashbang and a column of red smoke, Esmeralda twirls and dances onto the battlefield, with Djali prancing out right behind her.
Basic Attack: Esmeralda taps her tambourine and Djali rushes forth and headbutts the nearest enemy. After being wounded, a candelabra taller than she is glitches into being beside Esmeralda, who puts her tambourine away and grabs the candelabra, proceeding to slash and thrust her newfound weapon at the enemy herself.
Victory: (If the candelabra is present, it glitches back out of existence.) Esmeralda pulls out her tambourine and does a victory dance while Djali jumps happily in a circle around her.
Defeat: (If the candelabra is present, it glitches back out of existence.) Esmeralda, unsteady on her feet, glares down the enemy team before fainting backwards and falling flat on her back. Djali rushes around to stir her awake, but is unsuccessful.
Skills
White Skill: Girl of the Streets ()
- Passive: While above 50% HP, Esmeralda herself does not have a basic attack–instead, she taps her tambourine and Djali attacks the nearest foe for her, dealing X (determined by Basic Damage) Normal damage. When Esmeralda falls below 50% HP, for the rest of the wave, she swings a wrought-iron candelabra at foes within melee range in addition to Djali’s attacks, dealing her normal basic attack damage.
- Active: While above 50% HP, Esmeralda Charms the 3 enemies furthest away from her for 8 seconds. When Esmeralda falls below 50% HP, for the rest of the wave, this ability will Charm its targets for 12 seconds instead. Charmed enemies will have their Basic Damage increased by X (determined by Basic Damage) and attack speed increased by 35%. This Charm cannot be dodged or have its duration reduced by Tenacity, and has a chance to fail against enemies above level X.
- Animation: Above 50% HP, Esmeralda waves her hips in time to the tambourine, fluttering her eyelashes at the enemy team. After falling below 50% HP, Esmeralda plants the candelabra in the ground and twirls around it seductively, finishing with a wink before returning to a standing position.
Green Skill: Knocked Senseless ()
- Esmeralda or Djali (depending on Esmeralda’s HP) delivers a crushing blow to the nearest enemy’s head, dealing X (determined by Basic Damage) Fantastic damage and causing the enemy to become Dazed for 16 seconds. Dazed enemies cannot use their skills and will use their basic attacks on the nearest character, whether ally or enemy. The Daze has a chance to fail against enemies above level X.
- Animation: While above 50% HP, Esmeralda taps her tambourine thrice, prompting Djali to dig in his hooves and then leap at an enemy, skull-smashing them directly in the head. After falling below 50% HP, Esmeralda clocks an enemy in the side of the head with her candelabra.
Blue Skill: Too Lovely to Hit ()
- Every 6 seconds, Esmeralda dodges an attack, then counters by Charming the attacking enemy for 6 seconds. If the Charm fails for any reason, Djali performs a quick charge, hitting the enemy for X (determined by Basic Damage) Normal damage.
- Animation: Esmeralda dodges the attack with a graceful twirl, ending with a grin and a flourish. If the Charm failed, a peeved Djali rushes forth and U-turns the foe with prejudice.
Purple Skill: Years of Hardship
- Esmeralda gains X (determined by Skill Power) additional HP. When Esmeralda falls below 50% of her HP, she regenerates X (determined by Basic Damage) HP every second for the rest of the wave until she is finally KO’d.
Red Skill: A Selfless Heart
- Esmeralda redirects 10% of all damage taken by her allies to herself. In addition, Djali’s attacks place a stack of Weakness on his target for 10 seconds, stacking and refreshing its duration on subsequent attacks (max 5 stacks). Each stack of Weakness causes the enemy to take 10% additional damage from all sources. The damage redirect has a chance to fail against enemies above level X.
