Submission for @Scarlet_Captain’s 3rd Grand Concept Contest!

Half duck, half plant, all terror! Bushroot and his pet flytrap Spike will show enemies the root of all evil.

“I’m not sinister! Just misunderstood.”


Trial Team: Red

Entrance: Walks into battle and whistles, calling Spike

Basic Attack: Spike bites and Bushroot whips enemies with his vines

Victory: Calls Spike and scratches him

Defeat: Wilts away


White Skill: Fly Trapper (Fantastic Damage)

Passive: Bushroot’s Pet Flytrap, Spike, fights along side him, having X HP and dealing Y Fantastic Damage per basic attack. Every 3 times an enemy is damaged by Spike, they will be sapped for 5 seconds. Bushroot gains 100 energy whenever an enemy is sapped.

Active: Bushroot commands spike to burrow towards the closest enemy and eat them, dealing X damage upon the initial bite and X damage while Spike chews them for 2 seconds. Then, Spike will spit the enemy out to the backline, dealing X damage to enemies that pass through the eaten enemy.

This resummons Spike if he was KO’d in battle, and grants him 50% attack speed for 6 seconds.

Green Skill: Lumber Whack (Fantastic Damage)

Bushroot calls upon two tree monsters to charge at the frontmost enemies, dealing X damage and knocking them back. Sapped enemies receive 50% more damage from this skill and are stunned for 5 seconds.

Blue Skill: Root Canal (Fantastic Damage)

Bushroot sends a vine downward to snag the “Most Wanted” enemy and the enemy with the Most HP, dealing X damage, sapping and snaring them for 8 seconds. Sapped enemies damaged by this skill will have 50% of their energy stolen from them.

Purple Skill: Easy Come, Easy Grow

When Bushroot is KO’d, he grows back and revives, healing himself X HP plus an additional X HP per Sapped enemy. If Spike is still in battle while Bushroot revives he will also heal X HP and roar, scaring all enemies for 12 seconds.

Red Skill: Botanical Terror

Sapped enemies deal 50% less damage to Bushroot and Spike. While at least 1 enemy is sapped Bushroot and Spike are immune to all debuffs.

Bushroot and Spike deal 50% more damage to Sapped and Scared enemies, and 200% more damage if they are both Sapped and Scared.

The damage increase, damage reduction, and debuff immunity is less effective on enemies above level Z.

• Enemies affected by this memory disk can receive a max of X damage.
