Friend Level 1 Dialogue
Bowser Jr. and Lock, Shock, and Barrel are now friends!
Shock: Hey you! In the flying clown face!
Bowser Jr.: Are you talking to me, Witchy?
Shock: Yes, you! Which do you prefer? Tricks or Treats?
Bowser Jr.: Hmm… I think I’d have to go with… both!
Lock: You like both tricks and treats? Me, I’m more for tricks.
Bowser Jr.: Well, I do love to pull a good prank on Kamek or any of my brothers or my sister.
Bowser Jr.: And I love getting yummy treats, especially around Halloween!
Barrel: Oh, you sound like our kind of pal for Halloween!
Shock: What’s your name, Turtle Boy?
Bowser Jr.: Name’s Bowser Jr. Heir to the throne of the Koopa Kingdom. But most people call me Junior.
Lock: Well, Junior. You have earned the respect of Oogie Boogie’s boys…
Lock: Lock…
Shock: Shock…
Barrel: And Barrel! * licks lollipop *
Campaign Story: Bowser Jr. seeks the help of Lock, Shock, and Barrel to cause multiple crimes and frame Mario.
Bowser Jr.: Lock, Shock, Barrel! I may have the perfect plan to get Mario locked up to get to Mama Peach! And this will involve all kinds of wicked tricks.
Lock: Tricks, you say?
Shock: Go on. We’re listening.
Chapter 1: From the Shadows
Chapter 1-1: Upon learning that the trick or treaters love causing mischief. Bowser Jr. sees an opportunity.
Chapter 1-2: Bowser Jr. immediately learned that Mario was seen around the City. And wants to ruin his reputation as a hero.
Chapter 1-3: But before he can explain his plan, the kids are ambushed by creeps.
Chapter 1-4: Bowser Jr. whips out his paintbrush and splashes paint globs. While Shock releases scorpions.
Chapter 1-5: with the creeps dispersed, Jr. begins to explain his plan.
Bowser Jr.: So I want the three of you to help me make as much trouble around the City as possible. The bigger the better.
Bowser Jr.: While you’re doing that, I’ll turn into Mario and make it look like it was all his doing. That’ll allow me to get to Mama Peach.
Lock: That sounds very mischievous.
Barrel: Yeah! Count us in!
Shock: Hold on, what’s in it for us?
Bowser Jr.: I’ll give you the rest of my Halloween candy. And you can send Mario to Oogie Boogie when this is all over.
Shock: Ok. You got a deal.
Chapter 2: Spooky Strike
Chapter 2-1: Bowser Jr.'s plans to first strike at the Covered Market.
Chapter 2-2: Once the kids arrive, Lock, Shock, and Barrel fire their slingshots at the vendors.
Chapter 2-3: Shock even sneaks some scorpions behind the stalls.
Chapter 2-4: Bowser Jr. finishes by spreading paint throughout the Covered Market.
Chapter 2-5: Bowser Jr. paints his “M” symbol as Shadow Mario before fleeing with the trick or treaters.
Lock, Shock, and Barrel: Hahahaha!
Shock: That was fun!
Bowser Jr.: There’s more to come, we’re only getting started with ruining Mario’s reputation.
Lock: Where to next?
Barrel: Oh! How about the Midway?
Chapter 3: Midway Muddle
Chapter 3-1: Bowser Jr. likes the idea of causing mayhem at the Midway. And not just because he likes to play the games there.
Chapter 3-2: But on the way, the quartet was stopped by creeps.
Chapter 3-3: Once they are dealt with, Bowser Jr. sends the trick or treaters out to wreak some havoc.
Chapter 3-4: Just like at the Covered Market, Bowser Jr. also paints the “M” symbol in his Shadow Mario disguise.
Chapter 3-5: But just as he was about to leave, Lock, Shock, and Barrel came with a bag that was moving around in their bathtub.
Bowser Jr.: What’s in the big bag?
Lock: Just two captives for Mr. Oogie Boogie.
Shock: It was that bunny and fox officers that always ruin our fun, some of the heroes of the City.
Barrel: Yeah! These two, we caught shoving their muzzles where they didn’t belong!
Bowser Jr.: Alright. What happened with you three earlier?
Chapter 4: Boogie Detour
Chapter 4-1: Bowser Jr. decides they’ll have to make a quick stop at Ooogie Boogie’s lair to dispose of Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde.
Chapter 4-2: It wouldn’t have come to this if Barrel hadn’t shouted the plan when they were near the Midway.
Chapter 4-3: As they left the Midway, Bowser Jr. made sure that no one was following them.
Chapter 4-4: Once at Oogie Boogie’s lair. The quartet sends the bag with the trapped heroes down the chute.
Chapter 4-5: Now they can continue to cause more mischief, and frame Mario for it all.
Bowser Jr.: So… what EXACTLY, does Oogie Boogie do to his prisoners?
Shock: Don’t know. None of us have been down there ourselves.
Lock: But I bet it’s all wicked tricks!
Friend Level 7 Dialogue
Lock, Shock, and Barrel: Junior! Junior! We got her! We got her!
Bowser Jr.: Awesome! Open it up! I wanna see Mama Peach!
Cinderella: Huh? Where am I?
Bowser Jr.: What the? That’s now Mama Peach!
Shock: She isn’t?
Barrel: Who is she?
Cinderella: Why, I’m Cinderella-
Bowser Jr.: * shoves Cinderella in the bag and ties it up *
Bowser Jr.: NOT Mama Peach! Take her back!
Lock: We followed your instructions…
Barrel: We went to the castle!
Bowser Jr.: Which castle? There’s more than one!
Bowser Jr.: Mama Peach is at THIS castle! * shows a picture of Mushroom Castle *
Shock: I told you! * strangles Barrel *
Lock, Shock, and Barrel: * fighting with each other *
Bowser Jr.: * groans * Now I understand how Papa feels when our minions keep screwing up.
Chapter 5: Downtown Destruction
Chapter 5-1: Leaving Oogie’s lair, Bowser. Jr had an idea struck him. He whispers the plan to the trick or treaters.
Chapter 5-2: Their next place to make mischief is the Downtown District.
Chapter 5-3: Lock, Shock, and Barrel fire their slingshots at windows and passersby. Bowser Jr. even uses his clown car to fire cannonballs.
Chapter 5-4: Bowser Jr. then masquerades as Shadow Mario once more as he begins to paint the town. Quite literally at that.
Chapter 5-5: Satisfied, the four flee the Downtown District before any more heroes show up.
Bowser Jr.: Ha ha ha ha! That ought to get people to see Mario as the bad guy!
Lock: This has to be the most tricks any of us did in one day!
Barrel: And with you turning into Mario, they couldn’t tell if it hit them in the face.
Shock: If you two don’t shut up, I’ll hit you both in the face. We can’t have anyone find out about our plan.
Bowser Jr.: Oh, save it. Soon, the people of the City will believe Mario was causing all this destruction.
Bowser Jr.: And when that’s done, I’ll get Mama Peach, and Papa will be able to rule the City.
Chapter 6: Shadow Play
Chapter 6-1: Before Junior and the trick or treaters can plan their next move. More creeps get the drop on them.
Chapter 6-2: Lock throws a jack-in-the-box to scare them. Shock proceeds to unleash scorpions.
Chapter 6-3: Bowser Jr. revs his clown car engine and plows through the horde.
Chapter 6-4: Bowser Jr. turns into Shadow Mario and finishes off any stragglers.
Chapter 6-5: With the creeps gone, Junior turns to Lock, Shock, and Barrel.
Bowser Jr.: Well, where should we cause more trickery?
Shock: How about the Covered Market?
Bowser Jr.: Nah, too predictable for heroes to start at.
Lock: Maybe the Black Market?
Bowser Jr.: No, some of Papa’s allies run shops there.
Barrel: Oh oh! How about the CPD?
Chapter 7: Central Chaos
Chapter 7-1: Lock and Shock right away veto the idea. As they’re already in hot waters with the officers there.
Chapter 7-2: But Bowser Jr. likes the idea. After all, they had already dealt with their two best officers.
Chapter 7-3: Not to mention they can ruin Mario’s reputation as a hero even further.
Chapter 7-4: After some convincing (with the promise of candy), Shock agrees to the plan.
Chapter 7-5: The four kids arrive at the CPD and discover no one is there.
Shock: Where is everybody?
Barrel: Who cares? This is our chance to cause more tricks!
Bowser Jr.: Barrel’s right. We don’t know how long they’ll be gone, so let’s cause some damage!
Lock, Shock, and Barrel: Yay!!!
Friend Level 10 Dialogue
Bowser Jr.: I don’t see how Vanellope giving us a mouthful of soda counts as a trick or a treat.
Lock: Ralph told us that she comes from a place called Sugar Rush.
Shock: So we thought we could strike a jackpot of treats.
Bowser: Have you managed to find out how to get there?
Barrel: No, because every time we follow her or her friends, we get drenched in soda.
Bowser Jr.: Hmmm… I might have an idea of how to get there.
Chapter 8: End of the Line
Chapter 8-1: Bowser Jr. and the trick or treaters begin their destruction at the CPD.
Chapter 8-2: Like the previous times, Bowser Jr. paints an “M” symbol to make it look like Mario is the guilty one.
Chapter 8-3: With the amount of tricks the four did, Junior decides that it’s enough.
Chapter 8-4: Satisfied, the kids leave the CPD. Only to discover Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde along with the rest of the officers blocking the way.
Chapter 8-5: Bowser Jr, Lock, Shock, and Barrel quickly flee the precint. Only for them to turn around and see Mario and Princess Peach, glaring at them.
Peach: Bowser Jr! I should’ve known you were behind all this!
Bowser Jr.: Mario! And Mama Peach?!
Bowser Jr.: Look, I can explain everything. But first, why don’t you explain how you found and knew it was me?
Mario: After that last stunt you pulled on Isle Delfino, Professor E. Gadd installed a tracker and user history system on your paintbrush.
Peach: Plus, Judy and Nick told us everything after we saved them from Oogie Boogie.
Bowser Jr.: Arrggh! Should’ve known!
Judy: You should have, young man. Because we’re taking you and your friends in for mass destruction of property and attempted identity theft.
Lock: Us? Accomplices? We don’t know what you’re talking about.
Shock: Yeah, we’re just three innocent children.
Barrel: We wouldn’t dream of doing anything like this.
Nick: Those faces and sweet-like voices aren’t fooling us, kids. And don’t think we can’t see those crossed fingers behind your backs.
Mario: You three are just as guilty as Bowser Jr. And I don’t need to tell you four that the CPD is gonna take some pleasure in locking up four junior vandals that were also gonna frame me.
Campaign “Junior Criminals” complete.
“Shadow Quartet” unlocked.
Enjoy!
