DHBM Complete Tier List

This is a complete series of all heroes currently in-game, rated into tiers, in one big list. This list includes quotes from others who have given their opinions on the characters in question. Credits down below. This was a team effort after all. I recommend this tier list to newer players to help discover the mechanics and styles that individual heroes provide to a fight.

Volume 1

ALADDIN :gem:
•Damage, Frontline, Blue
•Tier: A
•Aladdin is what I like to call a kamikaze hero. He can deal loads of damage if used properly, but it comes at the cost of nose-diving right into the heart of your enemy team. However, his constant dodges and attack counters help him to stay alive. But, Controls who can stun frequently do tend to help their allies, specifically Damagers, knock him down with relative ease. Shank disc helps with quicker attacks, while Genie disc helps with survivability. (“Mid A tier for sure. Great damage an energy drain counter and fantastic disk selection make him one of the best normal damagers in the game.” -Kinokan)

ALICE :cookie:
•Support, Back, Yellow
•Tier: A
•Alice is probably the only hero whose core kit, with no disks or other heroes buffing her, has a finger in all four roles, Tank, Damage, Support, & Control. And for a mix of the four, she does pretty well. Between her decent slow, attack speed buff, and damage to enemies, she’s good, but can be taken down if a backline-focusing Hero like Aladdin or Woody can kill her off before she can activate her active.

ANGER :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:
•Damage, Mid, Yellow
•Tier: B+
•Between the large basic damage stacking, burst damage, and dot damage, Anger is surely a force to compete with. His attack speed buff to himself and allies helps quickly stack up hid Rage, quickly pushing his damage to the limit and being able to give your enemies a good roasting. He is relatively easy to attack though, if your Tanks get bypassed, or heroes have AOE attacks.

BAYMAX :heart_decoration:
•Tank, Front, Red
•Tier: A+
•One of the best shield-based characters in the game, hands down. A starting shield at the beginning of the battle, and he consistently sustains allies with even more shields, while also being able to take some hits on his own. Definitely one of the best Tanks. Plus, a good Armor buff to his allies with his Wall-E disc, and a starting freeze with his beginning attack to go with his Olaf friendship.

BO PEEP :sheep:
•Tank, Front, Blue
•Tier: A
•I don’t think Bo Peep has been used in PVP enough to know her true potential, but just from her kit, she’s a solid A. She’s especially useful against range-based damagers (I’m not actually sure if melee attacks qualify as projectiles), meaning that her white skill can completely neutralize the damage from rangers like Zurg or Merida. (“Idk, but I do know that Bo Peep can single handedly wipe away a whole team.”) -Champion David)

BUZZ LIGHTYEAR :rocket:
•Damage, Back, Blue
•Tier: B-
•Buzz is definitely on the weaker side in terms of damage resistance, but Buzz isn’t actually that bad when it comes to dishing out damage of his own. His purple skill is probably his saving grace, helping him pierce multiple enemies to deal even greater damage to the more fragile mid/backline. Both of his disks are decent as well, especially his Zurg Disk, to maximize the efficiency of his purple skill.

CALHOUN :bomb:
•Damage, Back, Blue
•Tier: B+
•Calhoun is mainly used for her supporting shields from the Violet friendship disk, however, her white skill can ravage all enemies when built up from her purple skill. She can overcome entire teams this way, but that is assuming she is the last to survive. Main weaknesses include characters that target the backline such as Elsa and Woody, as well as piercing characters like Buzz and Merida. As to her Violet friendship disk, the shields are more easily eaten up by Dash (Vi), and Rex. (“Should things start to fall apart, Calhoun might just gain the power necessary to turn things around.” -Aurora Veil.)

CHIEF BOGO :shield:
•Tank, Front, Yellow
•Tier: C+
•Bogo, while not being the most reliable Tank, does have some decent Armor and Tenacity, making him a good roadblock against Normal Damage and Controllers alike. And while BOGO can be praised for his shield which covers 80(ish)% of his HP, remember that it only lasts for 5 seconds. He even is a decent counter to high DPS characters like Zurg or Anger, as he heals his primary health meter while his shield takes the particularly heavy hits. But, his blind kind of drags his kit down, as it doesn’t trigger very often and isn’t worth investing in.

DARKWING DUCK :last_quarter_moon_with_face:
•Damage, Front, Red
•Tier: S
•Certainly one of the best Damages in the game. Darkwing can be fragile during the start of the fight, but once he uses his active jump, he becomes significantly harder to kill since he’s now only being attacked by backline enemies, and he’s kicking their low-defense butts. He hits hard and has nice damage scaling with his purple skill, and also has good utility with his Nick disk to cut through shields, regardless of their time cap or HP capacity. The true terror who flaps in the night.

DASH :running_man:
•Damage, Mid, Red
•Tier: C-
•While he isn’t necessarily awful, Dash would maybe be a bit better if he was a single target damage hero, rather than his white and green skills covering all enemies with rather menial Damage. He can slice through shields pretty well with his Violet Disk, and is good for generating energy with his purple skill. However, this doesn’t really help much, as his white skill deals damage which can really only threaten dangerous foes when they’re at critical health.

DUCKY & BUNNY :rabbit::duck:
•Damage, Front, Blue
•Tier: S
•Putting Ducky & Bunny at S only because they’re ridiculously unbalanced. This duo has, as of now, probably the highest damage output of any hero in the roster. They deal massive AOE and single target damage, while having brilliant life support with their purple. (“They didn’t make the slightest effort to balance ducky and bunny.” -Gjmguy)

DUKE CABOOM :canada:
•Damage, Front, Blue
•Tier: A
•Duke is a very strong frontline, and one who even has decent defenses with his Armor. Between a team-wide speed enhancement, high AOE Damage and impressive evasion that his white skill provides allows players to set him up in most lineups and still be helpful thanks to his blue skill. He’s just let down by his vulnerability to disables, as that stops him from doing anything, because none of the skills in his core kit are passive.

Can’t wait for the next one. Who’s it gonna be?

Elsa to Hiro

Can’t wait to see it. Can I help as well?

I don’t know ask @The_Spooky_Vizier

@The_Spooky_Vizier I’d put alice as a solid A tier. She’s like darkwing, in that she can die before her active but is a terror after her active, except she’s little slower and doesn’t have as much utility.

I love how it came out  nice list @The_Spooky_Vizier

All the more reason to put her above. Thanks. I’ll edit that

Oye, this came out well!!!

Alright, production is starting on Volume 2, so I won’t be replying on this topic for a bit.

Fascinating job with the tier list @The_Spooky_Vizier ! Really liked it and waiting for the 2nd part! Yet I would like to put a couple of things:
*When attacked by a lot of opponents, Bogo regains energy really fast, that let him put a new shield on himself every few seconds, which makes him even harder to deal with.
*Bo Peep can literally wipe out the enemy team alone, but she suffers from extremely low Reality. Characters with close-range fantastic attacks such as Quorra and Ducky & Bunny still threaten her. And if she got caught by Maleficent’s thorns, her porcelain body will break in pieces really fast.

Woah that sounds a little PG 13

Well, I mean visuals, not the “Unexpected” thing. I mean, many Toy Story characters lose their limbs and other body parts in the movies.

Volume 2

ELASTIGIRL :woman_superhero:
•Damage, Mid, Red
•Tier: B
•Elastigirl is fairly rare to be seen in very strong teams. She has high skill power and focuses on individual targets, but she just doesn’t have the right power or kit to be able to knock down today’s champions. Her Jack-Jack Disk, however, does give her life-threatening Reality reduction to enemies, making her a good hero to pair with high Fantastic Damage dealers, like Quorra or Jack-Jack himself. Her Vanellope Disk makes her active target the furthest back enemy, which can be a huge punch in the gut to teams with heroes like Megara or Joy.

ELSA :snowflake:
•Damage, Back, Blue
•Tier: S
•Many place Elsa in A-B Tier personally. Being a threatening damage and a fantastic Control with her constant freezes, Elsa can easily do the heavy damage work to support a team. Her Damage buff against frozen and slowed enemies make her and Olaf a terrifying duo, as well as Miguel with his semi-permanent slow (which is removed on his active.) She also boasts decent durability and incredible SP.

EMPEROR ZURG :space_invader:
•Damage, Mid, Blue
•Tier: A-
•Emperor Zurg is a good character to start out with. Helping you out with beginning chapters and helping pierce through Brutes with his FD. His skillset is mostly set around his active, and keeping it alive. Stealing energy, scaring, gaining energy whenever he deals damage. To keep Zurg balanced he has low armor, making him weak against heroes like Aladdin, Darkwing Duck, and soon Peter Pan. His disks are both useful but I’d prefer his Rex disk, which gives a huge boost to Tank Damage, allowing him to melt away high Reality tanks like Sally. His Hiro disk only gives allies a small damage boost and up to 5 energy whenever Zurg damages an ally.

EVE :zap:
•Damage, Back, Red
•Tier: A
•Underrated hero. She has respectable Armor for a backline Hero, and even better Damage. Her active can help to crack through the defenses of low-Armor enemies, by using her AOE to bypass frontlines. However, her deadly advantage against disabled enemies makes her a lethal opponent when paired with heroes like Olaf or Maleficent with their frequent Freezes/Stuns. Not to mention her Calhoun Disk makes her a chaotic engine that can blast disables farther back to the backline. She does have somewhat low Reality, making her easy prey to enemies such as Zurg.

FELIX :yellow_heart:
•Tank, Front, Blue
•Tier: D-
•Felix is probably one of the worst heroes in the roster. He has a constant self-heal for a basic attack, which only heals a tiny sliver of his low HP, a white skill which is only useful it is perfectly timed to interrupt enemies, a sub-part heal to his ally, a pathetic blue skill, and a SP buff to allies (probably his best skill out of the 4.) His Ralph Disk is probably one of the only ways to increase his survivability, but I don’t see why it’s worth it for such a bad Tank. (“One word: Nope” -Filadae Djaq)

FINNICK :lollipop:
•Control, Back, Yellow
•Tier: B+
•Finnick isn’t top Tier, but it’d be a felony to call him bad. His van skill combined with his permanent slows help him keep the frontlines just a bit slower, which can be really helpful for speedy frontlines like Duke. He’s also a deadly combo with Elsa, with his Judy Disk pushing her Damage buff against slowed enemies to +85% damage. His Nick Disk gives him insane conservation and helps damage frequently with his white skill.

FROZONE :snowboarder:
•Control, Back, Red
•Tier: D
•Oh, poor, sweet Frozone. While being a threat and an effective freeze-based Control early on, Frozone loses his synergy and power very quickly once you start advancing and gaining more heroes in your toolbox. His white skill can only keep enemies under control for 4 seconds, and it causes only a brief pause if they are above the level of the freeze. His kit just isn’t useful enough to make a meaningful contribution as a freezer the way Elsa or Olaf do, and dies quickly.

GASTON :egg: :egg: :egg: :egg: :egg: :egg:
•Control, Back, Yellow
•Tier: A-
•A mix between a stun and charm dealer, Gaston is a decent control. He suffers from slightly squishy Armor and Reality, but can do wonders if you time his white skill at the right time to interrupt a group of heroes that are trying to get dangerous skills off, potentially saving your team from deadly consequences. He pairs nicely with EVE to help deal damage to large groups of enemies with disables, which is often the case after Gaston stuns with his active.

GENIE :fireworks:
•Control, Mid, Blue
•Tier: B-
•Phenomenal, Cosmic Support! Itty bitty Control! Genie is often looked down upon because 2 of his skills are wasted on his active, even though the extra invincibility and energy are nice. His wishes do heal a good chunk of ally health, but the fact that he can’t grant a wish to himself kind of makes it his allies responsibility to make sure that he’s safe from damage. It’s not that he’s bad, it’s just that some others can do his job better.

GOOFY :sandwich:
•Tank, Front, Red
•Tier: S
•Sporting the longest blind and shield length in the game, Goofy is just as much used for his utility as for his Tank qualities. He gives allies a massive speed boost, blinds enemies for 13 seconds, dodges attacks, gives himself a stat-buffing shield, and stacks up burst healing with his purple, causing utter chaos among enemies. His Mickey Disk is a great counter to Control, and his Jessie Disk makes blinded enemies take massive damage. Gawrsh!

HADES
•Tank, Mid, Blue
•Tier: A
•Being the only Midline Tank doesn’t mean that he doesn’t do a great job as one. He is gifted with immense Max HP, and his kit is oriented around dealing even more damage when he goes down in HP. He’s especially useful as a 15% Damage sponge to all of his allies, which helps his HP go down to buff his damage output, and his revive gives him an extra life to maximize his lifespan as a Damage/Tank.

HECTOR BARBOSSA :anchor:
•Damage, Back, Yellow
•Tier: B
•An attack speed buff and good Study on his active make Barbossa a valuable asset to fighting a low-Armor team. His quick basic attacks deal impressive base and gradual damage, but his blue skill is nearly useless in the sense that a 90% second slow for one second is basically just a worse variant of a 1-second freeze (this can be solved with his Stitch Disk.) So he is a wonderful Damage, but he suffers from low damage resistance. He pairs well with heroes like Merlin and the soon-to-be added Beast.

HERCULES :classical_building:
•Tank, Front, Blue
•Tier: A
•Having good Max HP and okay resistance stats, Hercules can be a very tough hero take down with constant self-healing and invincibility periods which give him time to regain HP from Supports. His green skill can be a big annoyance to speedy teams with a quick stun, and a longer stun and quick damage burst to the target. And with a HP buff when he uses his active, Herc goes from Zero to Hero (which would’ve been a great name for his Purple) when he gets his HP up. Herc’s disc selection is also nice, with Meg’s powerful knockback and stun, and Maui giving Herc’s Tank allies 9 SECONDS of invincibility! True hero.

HIRO HAMADA :video_game:
•Control, Back, Red
•Tier: A+
•Once Hiro calls in Megabot, he becomes a valuable Control instrument, operating his deadly fighting puppet from the backline. His dodge chance makes up for his sub-parr Armor, and he even has decent energy boosts when he or Megabot dodges an attack. The 5 second stun time when Megabot lands is a valuable time for allies to get good hits in, and it dishes out great AOE Damage/Control. Baymax Disk helps Megabot buff his speed, and DWD can really help make Hiro himself become a true Stunning Machine with an AOE stun.

Zurg is definitely a B. Otherwise that’s what I would’ve put.

B rank means decent and Zurg is a little above that
