The Mole (Atlantis: The Lost Empire)
Gaetan Moliere, a.k.a. The Mole, uses his digging abilities to harass the enemy, picking them off one by one within the safety of his tunnels!
Role: Damage
Position: Middle
Trial Team: Yellow
“Parchment fiber from the Nile Delta circa 500 B.C., lead pencil #2, paint flecks of a type used in government buildings, you have a cat, short hair Persian, two years old, third in a litter of seven…these are all the microscopic fingerprints of the mapmaker! …And linguist…”
Basic Animations
Entrance: Bouncing merrily into frame while carrying a large gas-powered drill, The Mole’s binoculars extend slightly to zoom in on the enemy team, to which he grins mischievously. The Mole then activates his drill, which vibrates wildly and sputters smoke in all directions, before swiftly digging himself into a hole in the ground. When The Mole resurfaces, he peeks out of his tunnel, looks around worried, then crawls out with his drill ready to double-down on his assault!
Basic Attack: While above ground, The Mole thrusts his drill at enemies in melee range. While underground, The Mole thrusts his drill through the surface under the feet of a random enemy.
Victory: The Mole points and laughs at the enemy team ungraciously, before discarding his drill to fall on his back and roll around laughing some more.
Defeat: The drill collapses and falls apart, leaving The Mole looking terrified. He swiftly jerks his arms into the air in a desperate gesture of surrender while raising his face to the sky and blubbering pathetically.
Skills
White Skill: Drill, Baby, Drill! ()
- Passive: When The Mole has allies on the field, he tunnels underground, where he is untargetable by all attacks and effects. When The Mole is the last member remaining on the team, he resurfaces and becomes targetable.
- Active: The Mole activates his drill-mounted truck, remotely driving it to deal X (determined by Skill Power) Normal damage to all enemies. The damage dealt to enemies is increased by 20% for each debuff on them.
- Animation: While underground, The Mole peeks his head out of his tunnel while holding a remote control, gleefully pushes the big red button, and then vanishes from sight once again. While above ground, The Mole reaches into his jacket for the same remote control, presses the red button gleefully, and then rubs his hands excitedly. Either way, after the button press, a large and dirty military truck mounted with a large drill on its front bumper comes bouncing and shaking across the screen before ramming through the enemy team.
Green Skill: Nitro Boost!
- The Mole grants himself an additional 100% Attack Speed for 12 seconds and causes his next 3 basic attacks to Pierce enemies hit for 8 seconds. Pierced enemies take 6% of their maximum HP in True damage each time they take Normal damage. Damage over time effects can only trigger this damage once per second. The Pierce has a chance to fail against enemies above level X.
- Animation: While underground, lines of excited chatter appear above The Mole’s tunnel. While above ground, The Mole’s face lights up as he gets a devious idea, pulls a flask of nitroglycerin from his jacket pocket, and pours it into his drill’s gas cap. While this buff is active, The Mole’s drill glows green and shoots showers of sparks each time he attacks.
Blue Skill: To Dig is to Live! ()
- The Mole kicks up all kinds of dirt and rocks while digging, dealing X (determined by Skill Power) Normal damage to all enemies 4 times, Blinding and Sapping them for 16 seconds. The damage dealt to enemies is increased by 20% for each debuff on them.
- Animation: While underground, The Mole’s drill peeks out from beneath the surface and whirls around manically, sending clouds of dirt and rocks flying everywhere. While above ground, The Mole shoves his drill into the ground at an angle, causing much the same effect.
Purple Skill: Very, Very Close Observation
- At the start of each wave, The Mole Studies all enemies for 30 seconds. Each time The Mole KO’s an enemy, the duration of this Study is refreshed. While Studied by The Mole, enemies deal 25% reduced damage. The damage reduction is less effective against enemies above level X.
Red Skill: The Team’s Master Geologist
- Nitro Boost also causes The Mole and his allies to become Precise for the duration. Precise allies’ attacks cannot be dodged and always hit Invisible enemies.
- The Mole gains 15% Lifesteal. Targets with Lifesteal are healed for an amount equal to a percentage of the damage they deal.
- Studied enemies lose 20% of their Armor for each 10% HP they’re missing, up to 100% Armor reduced at 50% HP. This Armor reduction is less effective against enemies above level X.

Disk #1 - "All the Wrong Hands"
The Mole is known far and wide for being the best person to call when you need to get some digging done, but only the truly desperate actually make that call because Audrey’s been spreading the word about The Mole’s shameful, shameful past for a laugh. And so he’s quite surprised one day to receive a customer–one Captain Jack Sparrow, who requires the skilled digger’s expertise and knows people aren’t going to be asking the Frenchman too many prying questions. It turns out his rival, Hector Barbossa, has been engaging in illegal trade of heavy arms as of late–something about augmenting his cannons with Syndrome’s zero-point whatever–and burying his purchases in a discreet location. Jack wants to find those weapons and mount them on HIS ship. Or, of course, bring them to the proper authorities. On his ship. Don’t worry about the details so much, mate. And of course, money is no object. Until it is. But it seems Jack needn’t have laid it on so thick, as The Mole simply heard “pay” and “dig” before he was already on-board and ready to go.
- Partner: Jack Sparrow
- Allies: Peter Pan (hanging out playing pirates with the Lost Boys in a nearby cove), Shank (who owes Jack a favor, helping the duo break into the lower levels of a parking garage), and Jim Hawkins (innately dislikes Barbossa, needs no convincing to help locate the hidden basement of the Tortuga Inn)

Disk #2 - "Rock and Roll"
While walking down the Business District one day, The Mole is awestruck by a sight of pure beauty: Gerald. Even more beautiful: The giant rock that the wall-eyed sea lion is flipping repeatedly. Inside the sea lion’s mouth is a green pail, containing…sacre bleu! Talking fish! The talking fish, a father and son named Marlin and Nemo, tell The Mole that Gerald is moving his rock towards the great lake in the center of the City Park because the other sea lions were being mean to him. But The Mole knows that the lake is almost a mile away, and many dangers lie in wait from here to there! Something must have spurred this beautiful, courageous animal to undertake this herculean task! And so, moved to tears by this tale of triumph in the face of adversity, The Mole vows that, no matter what threats they may face, he will guide this majestic creature and his magical fish friends to the promised lake!
- Partner: Gerald, Marlin, & Nemo
- Allies: Go Go (whom The Mole insults for reckless driv–er, skating, and just ends up antagonizing her), Shan Yu (who is not so pleased by The Mole calling his horse a “filthy riding pig” when the horse curiously sniffs at Gerald), and Swedish Chef (whose danger presented here is blindingly obvious)
