Question about allowed and non allowed toons

We can’t really give you any information like that and don’t want to really fully say no to anyone because we have been told no before only to have that change. We’ve also had the opposite where we’ve been told yes and then been told no later. Things that I don’t feel will change, but have been told no that I know we’ve mentioned before are Cars and High School Musical. That is all I will say.

This is not a simple yes or no answer.

I love The World Cars. I’ve grown up watching the movies and shorts. I would love to have Mater on my team more than nearly any other character.

But the development cycle of a character takes roughly 6 months. Towards the end of the year the development team creates of lists of characters they will put in active development and reevaluates characters that have previously had there development put on hold. There have been times we’ve been made aware that a characters development was put on hold or stopped altogether and eventually whatever problem the development team had is resolved and we eventually get the character. Like Kim Possible or Kermit or Belle or Lumiere or Nemo.

Last December in 2022 we were told the developers have had trouble developing Cars characters for the game and don’t know if they would ever be able to do it. Similar things have been said and it has ended up working out eventually. So clearly they didn’t pick up any Cars characters for the 2023 slate of releases. Either that or they weren’t able to figure it out.

So, it’s possible that the devs at Perblue will figure out a way to make it work and we could get someone from Cars within the slate for 2024 or even before the end of this year. The franchises on the vote won’t be the only ones we get next year. We get random single releases every year. If whatever is making it difficult to release a Cars character is resolved they could easily get released next year. But that’s in no way guaranteed. It could happen. It might not.

Kermit’s development resumed after a few suggestions during a Dev Q&A. Nemo was able to go into full development after a few fan created concepts inspired the team. Sometimes the dev team needs a little push in the right direction.

A lot of the information on how Cars is doing in the development process is outdated. Like I said the last official word came from December 2022. I hope to get an update about it this Friday, September 1st. A Dev Q&A will be held for the first time in roughly a year and a half. They normally can’t answer questions regarding upcoming characters. But do generally give some fun hints and occasional puzzle/riddle type stuff to hint at some upcoming characters. Also they do occasionally directly tell us if something isn’t in development or if they are having trouble with something. So we could potentially get some news about it there. Although they’re unlikely to directly tell us that we are getting them if we are. But if they are still having trouble they might would tell us.

You know I’ve been thinking about making a public post like this. It’s information that I feel is very important.

Why did you think I would know anyway? Is it because I’m the dataminer? Most of the time new stuff only gets added to the files a few updates ahead of time, if early at all. Curious why you asked me.

I would very much LOVE Cars in the game and I very much believe it to be possible. Just not in the short term. Please stop pestering me and the rest of the forum about it.

2. Shank’s car only appears for a short time.
3. Luca’s Vespa is smaller than a car, so it’s easier.
4. Cars are going to be difficult to size, and would cause lag.

I’d like the way you think for these characters. I knew Bing Bong disappeared after trying to save headquarters, but if he were to disappear quicker than that, it will have to be in battle mode. Riley could use her hockey stick as a battle weapon, but that’s my opinion.

It was rare for Ladybug to assemble the whole core team with this roster.
During season 4, she usually tailored the team’s members to the specific task/villian.
Most season 4 episodes, she just called one or two of her allies.

Rena Rouge was also playing the role of offscreen spotter, so she appeared less often or not at all in combat during season 4.

Viperion was the other one who showed up most often, so he would also be a member of the core team.

So in conclusion, Rena Rouge, Carapace, Ryuko, Viperion and Vespiria are the ones we should most expect to be implemented.
