No. It isn’t.

You only use “an” when the next word starts with a vowel sound. But “homage” is pronounced “ho-maj”

I find “a homage” making more sense. I was just stating the law of when to use “an”

Depends on the accent/pronunciation :stuck_out_tongue: many places people would pronounce it with a silent H.

However, the grammar is unaffected by pronunciation, so “a homage” is correct.

That’s not true. If you pronounce it as “omage”, then it becomes ‘an’. Either way is correct.

hmm, maybe. It must be different for each word then because there’s definitely some words where it doesn’t matter

I realised though, the whole sentence is a bit weird anyway… you don’t really “do an homage” - “Yax and Frozone decide to pay homage to Rodant” sounds more normal I think
