Mufasa (The Lion King)

With a little help from his trusted advisor Zazu, Mufasa’s powerful and commanding presence gives his allies the courage to face any adversity!

“Simba, let me tell you something that my father told me. Look at the stars. The great kings of the past look down on us from those stars. So whenever you feel alone, just remember that those kings will always be there to guide you. And so will I.”


Basic Animations

Entrance: Mufasa leaps down from above, taking position in the frontline with an expression both regal and stern.

Basic Attack: Mufasa shifts his weight and delivers a punishing blow with his front paw.

Victory: Mufasa sits and gives an approving smile and nod to the success of his team.

Defeat: Mufasa is knocked backwards with an anguished growl, rolling once before falling unconscious and still.


Skills

:white_circle: White Skill: Roar of Courage (:sparkles:)

  • Passive: Mufasa’s bolstering presence increases his and allies’ Reality by X (determined by Skill Power).
  • Active: Mufasa roars, dealing X (determined by Skill Power) Fantastic damage to all enemies and Scaring them for 12 seconds. The Scare has a chance to fail against enemies above level X.
    – Mufasa’s 2 most wounded allies gain Endure for 4 seconds. The first time an ally with Endure is reduced to 0 HP, they regain 50% of their maximum HP and become Invincible for 3 seconds. An ally can only gain the Endure buff once every 15 seconds. Endure has a chance to fail above level X.
  • Animation: Mufasa snarls and grits his teeth before emitting a powerful roar that sends shockwaves through the battlefield. Allies with Endure are bestowed with a small aura of sunlight.

:green_circle: Green Skill: Protective Pounce (:fist:)

  • When Mufasa isn’t in melee range of any enemy, he pounces the nearest enemy, dealing X (determined by Basic Damage) Normal damage and reducing their Basic Damage and Skill Power by X (determined by Skill Power) for 9 seconds.
    – If Mufasa pounces the same enemy twice within 5 seconds, the second pounce also Stops the enemy for 6 seconds. Stopped enemes are Stunned and cannot gain Energy or healing from any source.
  • Animation: Mufasa lowers his body slightly before darting at the opponent with a forceful pounce, staring them down intensely as he then returns to his standing position.

:large_blue_circle: Blue Skill: Bathed in Sunlight

  • Mufasa exudes a proud aura that Energizes his allies, causing them to gain 90 additional Energy with their basic attacks, while enemies have their Evasion reduced to 0 and are unable to become Invisible. These effects last for 8 seconds and have a chance to fail on enemies and allies above level X.
  • Animation: Mufasa glows with a magisterial aura, and sunshafts appear from the upper-left corner of the screen, bathing both allies and enemies in its golden glow.

:purple_circle: Purple Skill: Helpful Advisor

  • At the start of each wave, Zazu takes note of the enemy team’s composition and then grants Mufasa and his allies a benefit every 10 seconds based on what he finds. These benefits have a chance to fail above level X.
    – If there are 2 or more Tank-role enemies, Mufasa and his allies gain 50% Armor Negation and Reality Negation for 6 seconds.
    – If there are 2 or more Damage-role enemies, Mufasa and his allies gain 2 stacks of Quickness. The Quickness target completely avoids one attack or debuff per stack, to a maximum of 4 stacks.
    – If there are 2 or more Support-role enemies, Mufasa and his allies remove 1 buff with each of their basic attacks for 6 seconds.
    – If there are 2 or more Control-role enemies, Mufasa and his allies gain 3 stacks of Hardy.
    – If two of these conditions are met, then Mufasa and allies will benefit from one at a time, chosen at random.
  • Animation: Zazu flies about above the enemy team before reporting back to Mufasa to deliver his findings before flying to the upper-left off-screen.

:red_circle: Red Skill: Everything the Light Touches

  • Mufasa and his allies ignore enemies’ Reality Negation.
  • When an ally successfully avoids being KO’d due to Endure, the time they must wait to benefit from Endure again is reduced to 5 seconds. This has a chance to fail above level X.
  • Protective Pounce also grants a Barrier to Mufasa’s allies. The Barrier absorbs damage for 5 seconds, and then converts all of the damage received into a Shield that lasts until destroyed. This Barrier can only be activated once every 20 seconds.

:bow_and_arrow: Disk #1 - "The Hunter and the Hunted"
Mufasa receives some disturbing news from Zazu–a human hunter has been terrorizing the Wildlands, and unfortunately for the local fauna, this hunter is quite accomplished at his craft. Mufasa knows that, as the chief leader of the Wildlands, it is his duty to face down this danger and keep his kingdom safe. Not helping matters is Simba and Nala viewing the news of the skillful hunter as a great adventure caper to be undertaken. But while Nala insists that they go with Mufasa, Simba wants to tackle this challenge himself, to prove himself worthy of his lineage, and after some heated disagreement, Simba ventures off on his own. Horrified at this news that Nala brings him, Mufasa races to find Simba before the hunter does. Fortunately for the maned monarch, he’s not the only one in the grasslands seeking to take down this perilous poacher…

  • Stars:
    Mufasa’s Attack Speed is increased by 100% for 6 (+1 per additional star) seconds after using Protective Pounce.
    Enemies hit by Roar of Courage are also Slowed by 12% (+12% per additional star) for 10 seconds.

:game_die: Disk #2 - "An Audacious Adventure"
There he is! The Lion of Wisdom! Mufasa’s midday respite is interrupted by a motley assortment of humans. And also a manticore. Zazu’s previous reports have informed him that these particular characters are not a threat, but he is nonetheless confused by their appearance–not just their sudden arrival, but also their peculiar garb. Mufasa’s pretty sure Zazu’s report on Corey didn’t include pots and pans, nor the girl Lilo having a skull mask before today. Things become a little clearer when Corey, clearly leading this merry band, elaborates on how they must consult the Lion of Wisdom for information to defeat the Demon King: This odd gathering is some kind of game, one that relies on improvisation and imagination. Mufasa takes a moment to consider. The Wildlands are at peace today. These visitors mean no harm. And it’s been a while since he’s indulged himself in a bit of fun and fancy. Smiling and shaking his head, Mufasa decides to take part in the adventure.

    Bathed in Sunlight has a 20% (+20% per additional star) chance to remove 2 (+1 per additional star) random debuffs from Mufasa and each of his allies before applying them randomly to enemies.
