Vanellope

Skills

Lollipop Slammer
Uses her glitch to become untargetable and teleport into the middle of her enemies. She slams her candy hammer, dealing damage to all enemies near her, then teleports back behind her allies.

  • +150% Damage
  • Stuns enemies hit for 6 seconds

This skill is incredibly underpowered without a Red Skill but seems to be potentially OP with it as I’m sure @Musketeer could either confirm or detest. With this change this skill plus the Red skill would make for a rather deadly combo but why shouldn’t one of the original heroes be able to outcompete Mulan?

Soda Geyser
Combines the power of mint and soda to shoot a massive spray of soda at her closest enemy, dealing damage. The corn syrup slows their movement speed by 25% and their attack speed by 25% for 3 seconds.

  • Increased slow to 50%
  • Increased slow duration to 12 seconds

This skill is decent but the slow is a bit pathetic given the low strength and duration. By increasing the slow this skill would become an alright CC ability.

Minty Fresh
Launches a minty cannon ball at the furthest enemy, dealing damage.

  • Stuns the enemy for 5 seconds

This skill, as with many older skills, feels really empty. By adding a stun Vanellope would feel a lot more exciting to use.

Sharing is Caring
All of Vanellope’s basic attacks, Soda Geyser and Minty Fresh gain splash damage.

  • +80% Splash Damage
  • Vanellope is immune to all slows

This skill is good for what it is but doesn’t aid much to Vanellope’s overall damage. Given Vanellope’s need for speed and her glitch it makes sense that she could avoid slows.

Red skill is fine

Disks

Dash - "Pulled a Fast One"
Boosts damage vs. Slowed Enemies
+X Basic Damage
Y% more damage to slowed enemies

  • +700% Basic Damage
  • Increased 5th star to 100%

This disk is good but not great. The basic damage boost is really lacking and the increased damage to slowed enemies feels like it could do more especially given the lack of slowing that Vanellope does.

Merida - "Ultimate Princess"
Minty Fresh More Damage; Shorter Cooldown
+X Skill Power
Minty Fresh does Y% more damage for each 10% HP target is missing
Minty Fresh has a Y% shorter cooldown

  • +700% Skill Power

This disk seems to be really good with the shorter cooldown allowing for Vanellope to dish out a lot more damage. The skill power boost unfortunately suffers the same fate as earlier disks.


Violet

Skills

Secure Squad
Violet jumps out of danger and shields her entire team, protecting them for the next 7 seconds.

  • +100% Shield HP
  • Increased shield duration to 12 seconds

This skill is helpful for protecting allies from a bit of damage but she doesn’t do as much as a Support should. More shield HP would help Violet keep her team alive for longer.

Invisibility
Before Violet is about to take damage, she becomes invisible for 10 seconds. While invisible, Violet is untargetable. Violet can only become invisible once every 25 seconds.

When damaged by enemies higher than level X, there is a chance Violet is unable to turn invisible. Also, this skill will not trigger when Violet has a shield.

  • Reduced cooldown to 18 seconds
  • Remove not being able to turn invisible while shielded

Violet’s invisibility is part of what makes her, sometimes, tricky to deal with. She should act really defensive only leaving small pockets of time to be K.O’d which is where the shorter cooldown and the ability to become invisible while in a shield come in.

Shield Roll
Violet bowls into her enemies with her force field. Enemies hit take damage and are knocked back.

  • +250% Damage

This skill is only helpful for giving Violet a period of time where she is free from damage (Side Note: Something should be fixed about Violet using this skill while slowed as there are times while using Pooh when Violet has just tottered across the top of the screen free from damage for a good 10-15 seconds). The damage needs a serious buff.

Purple and Red skills are fine

Merida - "Investigative Journalism"
Increased Shield Length and HP
+X Skill Power
+Y% Shield HP to Violet and allies
+Y% Shield Length to Violet and allies

  • +300% Skill Power

This change is fairly obvious.

Skill power, hello? Refreshed hero always get all base stats boosted.

Apart of that, huge slammer like that should stun enemies… for 6s.

Increase the damage
Make her immune to slows, due to bugs.
And add reality negation, she needs it badly.

I was looking at Wakkatu and it already seemed as high as other heroes.

I was considering that but I thought it made her sound too much like a Control.

I thought because it is splash that it was already good.

Good idea. Purple or Red Skill?

I avoid other stats for fear of getting it wrong.

Starts with 30, increases by 1 per skill level.

Given this is just a concept I won’t add it and let PerBlue deal with it when they, hopefully, decide to buff Vanellope.

Unless, they give Mayhem badge for her, but I asked them months ago, and as always, nothing.

Simba & Nala

Skills

Tussling Twosome
Simba and Nala get into a tussle, bouncing between enemies and damaging them for damage with each bounce. Simba & Nala damage enemies 5 times.

  • Simba & Nala are untargetable while using this skill

This skill is already really powerful and far outshines Jack-Jack’s white skill. The only improvement really needed is for the duo to be untargetable while performing the skill.

Making Faces
Simba and Nala taunt enemies by making faces at them, damaging them as well as removing armor and reducing their attack speed by 25% for 8 seconds.

  • +30% Damage
  • Change armour removal to reality removal
  • Simba & Nala steal the reality
  • Increased slow to 60%

This skill isn’t bad in the slightest but it is a rather strange combo. Simba & Nala excel at dealing Fantastic damage so reducing reality would be more beneficial for themselves. The armour removal number is also rather odd as it is far more than most heroes would ever have (at the moment), stealing it wouldn’t really rectify that part of the skill but it would aid there survivability.

Ado-roar-able
Simba’s attempt at a roar accidentally charms the farthest enemy for 8 seconds. While charmed, the target gains basic damage.

  • Increased charm duration to 12 seconds

This change isn’t exactly necessary however it could be buffed to match newer heroes.

Savanna Shuffle
During each basic attack, Nala’s swipe removes armor from each enemy hit for 12 seconds, while Simba’s roar heals himself and Nala.

  • +100% HP healed

This skill is unique but the heal is a bit meh so it could do with a buff.

Red skill is fine

Scan the Horizon
Barbossa pulls out his spyglass and Studies all enemies in front of him. Enemies remain Studied for 9 seconds. Barbossa also gains 400% increased attack speed for 6 seconds.

The Study has a chance to fail against enemies above level X.

  • Increased attack speed duration to 9 seconds

I’m not the first person to request this and I doubt I’ll be the last but it’s a fairly obvious change to make. The skill itself isn’t bad but one would expect that Barbossa should remain fast for the same duration as the study.

Apple of me Eye
Barbossa eats an apple, healing X HP and gaining 250 energy.

  • +100% HP Healed
  • Increased energy gained to 300

This skill is great at keeping Hector in the battle for longer but when compared to newer heroes it feels a bit underpowered. These changes are by no means necessary but would go a long way to keeping Hector just as relevant as newer heroes.

Chain Shot
During his Basic Attack, Barbossa replaces every 3rd cannonball with a chain shot that does X damage and slows the target’s attack speed by 90% for 1 second.

The slow has a chance to fail against enemies higher than level X.

  • +150% Damage
  • Increased slow duration to 3 seconds
  • Remove level restriction

This skill is good in theory but almost a joke in practice. The damage is a decent step up from his regular basic attacks, however, the slow isn’t really enough to hinder enemies significantly. With an increase in slow duration Stitch’s disk would become way too OP so I’ll discuss those changes later.

Hot Shot
During his Basic Attack, Barbossa’s normal cannonballs are now heated, causing them to do X damage over 3 seconds.

  • +75% Damage

This skill is pretty good but the damage doesn’t feel strong enough for a Damage hero, especially given that it’s DOT.

Red Skill is fine

Tia Dalma - "Hold Court"
Study at Combat Start

+X Basic Damage
Studies enemies at the start of combat for Y seconds

  • +800% Basic Damage
  • Increased 5th Star to 15 seconds

Stitch - "Stowaway"
More Chain Shot

+X Skill Power
Now every 2nd and 3rd shot is a chain shot; Chain Shot slow lasts Y% longer

  • Reduced 5th star to 150%

With the proposed change to Barbossa’s blue skill this disk would be way too OP with the slow lasting 18 seconds. By reducing the 5th star this disk still remains relevant without being ridiculously high.

Because Barbossa is meant to be a high-damaging hero, I think this should be decreased to 300 energy.

Aladdin


+100% Max HP
+20% Skill Power
+50% Basic Damage

For a frontline hero Aladdin doesn’t really have the HP he needs to survive as long as he should.

Skills

Sabre Slash
Aladdin slashes enemies with his scimitar 3 times, dealing X damage with each swing.

  • +300% Damage

Given that Aladdin only swings his scimitar 3 times the damage really needs to be upped. By increasing the damage significantly Aladdin would be an even bigger threat on the battlefield.

Energy Steal
Aladdin dodges a melee attack and counters his attacker, dealing X damage to his attacker and stealing 150 energy from his attacker. Aladdin can only counter once every 7 seconds.

  • +200% Damage
  • Increased Energy stolen to 300

This skill isn’t spectacular but it does help Aladdin stay alive for longer. The amount of damage is fairly low and the energy stolen is pathetic when compared to other heroes with similar abilities.

One Jump Ahead
Aladdin has a 25% chance to dodge any attacks from enemies level Y or below.
Aladdin’s chance to dodge is reduced against enemies who are above level Y.

  • Increased dodge chance to 50%

Aladdin is meant to be slippery but fragile so why is it that he has a lower dodge chance than Hiro (a backline control hero)? It really needs to be increased to 50% and maybe have a bonus effect but simply increasing the chance would be a game changer for him.

Magic Carpet Ride
Aladdin rides Carpet over his enemies at the start of combat and jumps down into them, swinging his scimitar 3 times, dealing X damage with each swing.

  • +150% Damage

This skill is good at getting in some quick hits but it isn’t that effective most of the time. By increasing the damage Aladdin could really help his team gain that initial edge against the enemies.

Gotta Keep Up
+X Damage to control role heroes with Magic Carpet Ride

  • Change to just generic damage

Most of Aladdin’s red skill is good but this is rather bizarre as there is only a minority that he can affect with this skill. Most other older heroes have generic damage boosts which is why Aladdin should too.

Genie - "When You WIsh"
Health Regeneration Once Per Fight
Aladdin regenerates X HP per second when he reaches 40% of his max HP for 5 seconds
Aladdin becomes invincible for Y seconds when he reaches 40% of his max HP ; This effect can only occur once per battle

  • +150% HP healed per second
  • Increased 5th star to 5 seconds

This disk is definitely the more beneficial one for Aladdin however it could be improved. The healing is ok but not really enough to make Aladdin too much more useful for the rest of the battle. By increasing the invincibility duration, Aladdin could regen all the HP before being damaged again.

Shank disk is fine

Gonzo

Gonzo’s Max HP isn’t great when compared to newer Tanks and his Basic Damage and Skill Power could also do with a decent buff.

Skills

Chicken Run
Gonzo incites his hypnotized chickens to stampede, dealing damage to all enemies and stunning them for 5 seconds.

  • +20% Damage
  • Increased stun duration to 6 seconds

This skill has aged fairly well but a buff could help Gonzo be more useful.

My Next Act
Gonzo cannonballs into each wave of combat, landing in the middle of enemies and dealing damage to all surrounding enemies.

  • +50% Damage
  • Knocks back enemies

This skill is merely a tickle at most at the start of battle and feels very empty for a one off skill. By increasing the damage Gonzo would give him and his allies a decent head start and the knock back would delay enemies even longer.

Raise the Stakes
Every 7 times that one of Gonzo’s chickens damages an enemy during his basic attack or Chicken Run Gonzo gains a shield that blocks X damage and lasts for 4 seconds.

  • +50% increased shield HP
  • Increased shield duration to 6 seconds

This skill is helpful for keeping Gonzo alive longer but the shield strength isn’t that impressive especially considering the decent length between each use. By increasing the duration Gonzo would have far greater survivability.

Purple skill is fine

Talent Search

  • Increase the Max HP stat by 100%

A 15% Shield HP increase is pathetic especially when Violet has a similar disk that’s 4 times more powerful :neutral_face:. This change may make this disk as useful as the Duke disk.
