I Smell a Rat... - Professor Ratigan (Likely Concept)

Professor Ratigan (The Great Mouse Detective)

With grace, wit, and manic determination, Professor Ratigan dazzles his foes with his displays of wealth and power.
Role: Control
Position: Middle
Trial Team: Yellow

“Oh, I love it when I’m nasty!”

Basic Animations

Entrance: Professor Ratigan descends from the sky, casually grasping a rope attached to Fidget’s foot-powered zeppelin. Ratigan lands on the ground, and removes his hat for a ceremonial bow before placing his hat back on his head and producing a baton.

Basic Attack: Ratigan twirls his baton at an enemy in melee range, smacking the target rapidly as it spins. While Ratigan is Feral, he instead slashes rapidly at his foe with his claws, breathing heavily with a manic expression.

Victory: Professor Ratigan removes his hat and holds both hat and baton aloft, grinning a self-satisfied grin while posing triumphantly. While Ratigan is Feral, he instead raises his claws to the sky and laughs maniacally as lightning flashes in the sky.

Defeat: Feral Ratigan tumbles backward, reaching his claws forward with maniacal rage before falling unconscious.

Skills

:white_circle: White Skill: Wrath of Ratigan (:fist:)

  • Passive: Ratigan’s basic attacks deal damage over time, causing X (determined by Basic Damage) Normal damage over 2 seconds.
  • Active: Professor Ratigan rings the dinner bell, summoning his overlarge pet cat Felicia, who plops herself down on the furthest enemy, sitting pompously on them for 10 seconds. Felicia’s target is Stunned for the duration, and takes X (determined by Basic Damage) Normal damage every second. The Stun cannot be dodged or have its duration reduced by Tenacity, and has a chance to fail against enemies above level X.
  • Animation: Professor Ratigan grimaces, but the grimace swiftly turns into an evil grin as he produces a small golden bell and gives it a ring. The ground shakes as Felicia waddles on-screen to the back of the enemy line and sits imperiously on the furthest enemy. After 10 seconds, or if her target is KO’d, Felicia gets up and waddles off-screen.

:green_circle: Green Skill: A Toast! (:sparkles:)

  • Professor Ratigan produces a bottle of champagne and tosses it at the enemy team, splashing enemies for X (determined by Skill Power) Fantastic damage. Affected enemies are Sapped and have a 25% chance to also be Dazed for 12 seconds, a 35% chance to also be Charmed for 10 seconds, or a 40% chance to also be Slowed for 14 seconds. These effects have a chance to fail against enemies above level X.
    – Dazed enemies are Silenced and use their basic attacks on the nearest target, friend or foe.
    – Charmed enemies have X (determined by Level) increased Basic Damage.
    – Slowed enemies have their attack and movement speeds reduced by 80%.
  • Animation: With a grand gesture, Professor Ratigan reaches into his jacket and produces a fine bottle of champagne, which he uncorks and hurls at the enemy team, splashing its bubbly contents on all enemies.

:large_blue_circle: Blue Skill: How Insulting! (:sparkles:)

  • Professor Ratigan verbally dresses down his foes, hurling a humiliating insult that deals X (determined by Skill Power) Fantastic damage to all enemies and reduces their Skill Power by X (determined by Skill Power) for 9 seconds.
  • Animation: With a smile most insincere, Professor Ratigan gestures towards the enemy team and snickers immodestly afterward.

:purple_circle: Purple Skill: There is No Escape!

  • When Professor Ratigan is reduced to 0 HP, he becomes Invincible for 6 seconds, restores X (determined by Skill Power) HP, and transforms into Feral Ratigan for the rest of the wave. Feral Ratigan gains X (determined by Skill Power) Basic Damage, 75% increased Attack Speed, 60 Normal Crit, and 80 Crit Damage.
  • Feral Ratigan does not possess a Green or Blue skill, and the effects of his White skill are as follows:
Feral Wrath of Ratigan

– Feral Ratigan lunges at the furthest enemy, grappling and slashing at the target for X (determined by Basic Damage) Normal damage every second until the target is KO’d.
– This attack lasts for 10 seconds if the target is alone.
– Every second, Feral Ratigan has a 20% chance to Stun the target for 2 seconds and remove 150 Energy from them. The Stun has a chance to fail against enemies above level X.
– Feral Ratigan is immune to disables and his Energy gain is reduced by half while channeling this ability.
Animation: Feral Ratigan lunges at the opponent, grabbing at them and slashing wildly in all directions in a ferocious rage.

  • Animation: Ratigan is knocked back and his hat falls off. With reddening eyes and quickening breath, Ratigan’s jacket shreds as he tears off his tie and collar. Ratigan then assumes a hunched, bestial stance for the rest of the wave.

:red_circle: Red Skill: Basil’s Arch-Rival

  • Professor Ratigan is immune to Study effects, and his allies are immune to Study while he is above 50% HP. Allied Study immunity has a chance to fail on allies above level X.
  • When an enemy attempts to Study Ratigan or his allies, their attack speed is reduced by 25% and they gain 2 stacks of Weakness for 15 seconds. Each stack of Weakness increases all damage that the target takes by 10% (maximum 5 stacks).
  • While Ratigan is Feral, he gains Reflect for 2 seconds each time he takes 20% of his HP in damage. Reflect prevents all damage done and sends the damage back to the attacker. Reflected damage cannot be dodged.
    +X Basic Damage
    +X Skill Power
+X Damage Negation while Ratigan is Feral

Friend Disk Campaigns

:mag: Disk #1 - "A Necessary Nemesis"
A series of mysterious thefts has taken place across the City. And the goods going missing are high-grade weapons that would be absolutely dangerous in the wrong hands. Ratigan, protective of his own priceless collection of arms, hoped to solve this case and earn some goodwill with local law enforcement (for later use, of course), but everything goes black. When he awakes, Ratigan finds himself tied up in a warehouse, alongside Hiro Hamada, the gargoyle Goliath, and his nemesis, Basil of Baker Street. While the two would love to settle their old score, the current situation is much more dire than their petty rivalry, so they come to an agreement: Until this case is solved, they will work together–along with their fellow captives–to put a stop to their unknown assailant. Once the case is over, their battle of wits shall recommence! With that said, they must first escape their current predicament…

  • Partner: Basil of Baker Street
  • Allies: Hiro, Goliath, Demona (who’s totally unrelated to the story, nothing to see here, please disperse)
  • Level Up:
    +X Basic Damage
+X Armor to Professor Ratigan and allies
  • Stars:
Professor Ratigan now targets the Most Wanted enemy with Wrath of Ratigan and Feral Wrath of Ratigan. The Most Wanted enemy is the enemy that has dealt the most damage. In addition, Ratigan’s attacks deal 5% (+5% per additional star) extra damage to Studied enemies and removes 4 (+4 per additional star) Energy from them.

:peacock: Disk #2 - "Get Stuffed"
The moment Professor Ratigan laid eyes upon Kevin’s brilliant plumage, he knew he had to have it. That wonderful, luminescent bird would be the centerpiece of his magnificent study, once it’s separated from that snot-nosed little brat and taken to a taxidermist who doesn’t ask too many questions! It also helps that the brat looks a bit slow on the uptake, too. This should be a breeze! …Or so Ratigan thought. Upon approaching Russell, to inquire about his colorful bird friend, Russell immediately bombards Ratigan with questions of his own (“How did you get so big?” “I didn’t know rats could talk!” “Is that REAL gold on the tip of your cane? Because I’ve got a badge in Rare Metals Identification, and that looks fishy to me!”). Grinding his teeth with rage and indignation, Ratigan holds himself together. Just humor the little whelp and seize the opportunity. Put up with it. Just answer the questions and follow him wherever he wants to go. He can’t possibly be THAT annoying for THAT long…

  • Partner: Russell & Kevin
  • Allies: Eeyore (Russell wants to cheer him up with a dance he taught Kevin how to do!), The Evil Queen (who is displeased to learn Russell sought out an old lady to walk across the street and came upon her…), and Kronk (who Russell just thinks is the coolest guy around)
  • Level Up:
    +X Armor
    +X Reality
  • Stars:
Ratigan takes 4% (+4% per additional star) reduced damage from enemies affected by A Toast! or How Insulting!. While Ratigan is Feral, he gains 6% (+6% per additional star) Lifesteal. Lifesteal causes the target to be healed for a percentage of all damage they deal.

Please don’t revive dead topics

Give them a break it’s the first time they’ve posted and that’s no way to welcome someone into the community regardless of if it’s against the rules

They weren’t being rude about it. Just politely asking them not to revive dead topics.

I know they aren’t being mean I just don’t think they should’ve said that to someone who is probably still getting used to things here

But then how are they supposed to know whether or not they should reply to dead topics if no one tells them?

Fair point

What does reviving dead topics mean?

It’s to add to a topic that has been inactive for a while.
