It’d certainly be interesting if they did, and I wouldn’t really be against it, either. But realistically speaking, I doubt PB will ever include content from that show, and admittedly, I’d kind of prefer if they kept it that way.

The show is bad after Amara’s defeat. The second villain’s introduction was executed terribly. And the 3rd season is sort of cringe.

Actually, there are many heroes in game which was created by PB not as character after end of movie (or show), but as character in some part of movie. For example, Simba&Nala is in game as their child version, though in biggest part of movie they are adult
Sally is also friends with Honey Lemon. You can see it in the game.
They need to add Aunt Cass!

W-w-wait… did anyone notice that the chemballs on the strap of Honey Lemon’s purse are absent in the game? 
The image in the patch notes shows the chemballs, so why not Honey Lemon in-game? Kinda like the word “Hunny” appearing on Pooh’s pot in the patch notes but not in the game

Liv and Di Amara.
Liv is a scientist who created a medical treatment and tested it on herself, then discovered it was slowly killing her, so she cloned herself and directed the clone (Di) to find a cure while she put herself in suspended animation to slow the effect of the treatment.
Unfortunately, Di turned out to be pure evil in contrast to Liv’s good and when Hiro&Karmi cured Liv, she had her clonesister Di sent to jail for all her crimes.

Still it doesn’t explain why they used the original show designs instead of the modern show since the modern show is quite popular currently since sadly, it’s being cancelled as we all know

Agree, 2017 version is much better than the old one. Such a shame it wasn’t given, we would already had Della - the best Duck, if that was the case, but unfortunely, no. Ehh–
Honey lemon is the sign in for January so she’s in the game for those that are in a time zone where that it is already January 1, 2021 … so anywhere across the international date line basically… Japan , for instance , Australia I think too

Lena would have been nice, as I understand it, she’s a new original character.
I would have preferred the reboot appearances of Darkwing and Gosalyn;
At the very least, they could have made them a costume alternative.

Me personally, I think the game is just trading on nostalgia value for the older versions of the franchises they add or the original movie and are just not brave enough to leave that safe zone to explore the potential offered.

Because again, that was their ORIGINAL appearance. The whole point I was making was that when making a character, PB will likely stick as close to their original appearances as possible, and in the case of the Ducktales characters, that would be the version from the 1987 show, not the 2017 show. Popularity has very little to do with it.
