Judge Claude Frollo

Judge Claude Frollo

From Disney’s Hunchback of Notre Dame

The cruel judge of Paris uses his standing to imprison his disabled allies and make his enemies choose between lust or the flames.

Position: Backline
Role: Tank or Support

White:
Fatum Ultimatum-
Passive: Frollo does not basic attack. Instead he paces along the backline of the battlefield gaining one stack of “judgement” during each basic attack phase for a maximum judgement of 10.

Active: The player selects one enemy for Frollo to charm. The charm has an increased chance to fail as Frollo’s “Judgement” stack increases. If the charm succeeds, the enemy gains 100% attack speed and is charmed for 10 seconds. At the end of the charm, the charmed enemies’ energy is split between Frollo’s allies.

If the charm fails, he consumes all stacks of judgement, he “Curses” the selected enemy and torches the entire enemy team causing X amount of damage over X seconds for every stack of judgement.

Green:
Hellfire Appeal:
Once per wave when Frollo reaches X health he appeals to the flames becoming invincible for 8 seconds and healing himself for X health. He gains one stack of judgement for every time he is hit while invincible.

Blue:
Cruel Cloister:
Once per wave, Frollo orders a disabled ally to the belltower. For the length of their disable, they become invincible. When this period is over, they escape from the belltower, Frollo gains one stack of judgement.

Purple:
Fall into Flames:
When Frollo reaches 0 HP, he falls off the screen causing the fires below to rise up, dealing X amount of damage to all enemies for every stack of judgement accumulated at the time of reaching 0 HP.

Red:
Pensive Pergatory:
Cruel Cloister heals the cloistered ally for X health. At the end of the invincibility the ally leaves with full energy.

Friendships

Backline Tanks defeat the role of tanks

Rage is exclusive to Anger

There are only passives in actives

Where in the movie has he ever meditated?

The belltower is huge. So… the graphics are useless

This is somewhat useless if they can’t fight at all

How is this possible though?

Friendships don’t grant animations

Similar to Anger’s Hades disk

Rating: 3/10

As cruel as Frollo is, he doesn’t deserve to be a support hero. He is a villain for Pete’s sake. This skillset doesn’t feel “Frollo” enough. All of it is passive and barely any attack animations. The animations could also be scary and difficult to draw out for the game. All of the invincibility would also make him a bit overpowered. This concept needs a lot of work and more polishing.

*This concept is definitely not for a Tank, yet Frollo is definitely not a supportive character. Damage or control roles would fit him better.
*The rage mechanic also seems weird. As mentioned by @Filadae_Djaq , those stacks are exclusive for Anger. And, as I remember, Frollo is pretty calm during most of the movie, so rage doesn’t suit him.
*The blue skill is pretty much OP. That should happen rarely, like once per wave.

Other issues:

Then what is the point of “Rage”?

Energy nor seconds may increase as you level up the skill. Also, the enemy may not use their active while they are charmed. So, if the enemy has at least 1000 energy after they are charmed, they may use their white skill and possibly kill your whole team.
