The removal of Disney Heroes: Battle Mode from the app stores in Russia was requested by Disney. We cannot give refunds from purchases already used. If you do request chargebacks from purchases made your account may be suspended.
They can’t play the game anymore. You think they would care whether or not their accounts got banned?
I know this decision isn’t up to you, obviously as no one wants to lose money. I’m just sad knowing this decision will badly affect some of my friends in game
well, what are we left with? you close access to the game for us, respectively, we will not be able to play. wait until you are allowed to open access in Russia? what if it never happens? We didn’t break your rules, but you did. I will make a request for a refund, it’s a pity of course I played this game for 3 years …
I have discussed chargebacks before. This is an automatic system from the app stores that bans/suspends players for charging payments back. You can also be banned from the app stores themselves for chargebacks.
Unfortunately, we cannot do refunds for purchases already used especially from 3 years of use. You did use the purchases in the game just because the game is being removed from app stores does not mean you did not already redeem those purchases.
We do not know if Disney will want the game back on app stores.
OK, I need this answer to send to Google. and then we’ll see how they respond. If they do not want a refund, then we will sue.
You will be getting the same answer there. I’m not sure why you would plan on suing for this as it’s against TOS that you agreed to when you signed up for the game. The same would also be in Google’s terms and conditions. Best of luck.
Perblue would lose more money keeping the game available to Russian players currently than blocking access altogether.
what did I break? I bought a product to which you close access, which means you deceived me.
You have not broken anything yet this is only if you pursue chargebacks. If you attempt to sue then you can only contact us via a lawyer and I cannot continue any conversation via the forums.
I do suggest you read the TOS that you did agree to: Disney Heroes: Battle Mode - Terms of Use Agreement and Privacy Policy
- YOU AGREE THAT ALL SALES OF VIRTUAL GOODS ARE FINAL. No refunds will be given, except in our sole and absolute discretion. All Virtual Goods are forfeited if your account is terminated or suspended for your violation of these Terms of Use or any other misconduct, as determined by PerBlue in PerBlue’s sole and absolute discretion, or if PerBlue Entertainment discontinues providing the Game.
- You agree to not dispute or charge-back any payments for purchases that have been successfully credited to your account within the Game or otherwise attempt to defraud PerBlue. Should PerBlue receive notice of any payment disputes or charge-backs for successfully completed purchases which have already been credited to Your account, Your account may be indefinitely suspended.
Well, at least it’s good to know that I was right again.
This part is understandable. However, it would be nice to hear PerBlue’s perspective on this question. For example, is it possible for PerBlue to refuse returning DHBM to the market if Disney changes their mind (And they most likely will, cause again, money). Do PerBlue have…well, how to say it…power of choice? Removing is understandable, Disney says so you have to obey. But what about entering new markets?
Due to licensing we do have to agree with Disney.
So this means both entering and exiting the markets…Good to know, thank you for your answer! Will be keeping an eye on Disney now
Approval must be had by Disney for everything Disney Heroes: Battle Mode
Is this why some have emojis and some don’t?
Bolt for example. His designs exist, but not in game
Is that will be friday?
Well, I guess they weren’t kidding when they said “you can’t win them all.”
You mean to tell me that the company Disney is y’all boss for everything?
Due to licensing we need to make sure we both agree on things and Disney is very serious about their licensing so we have to make sure we get approval from them. They also can ask us things as well since it has to do with their license which is what happened with removing the app from Russian app stores.
I mean, basically?
Disney: Do this thing.
PerBlue: What? No.
Disney: 'Kay. -removes license-
PerBlue: :<
