Ok so i stick by what I said the winners of arena and coli both used kim. And won arena and coli. So say it was against poor built teams is v v disrespectful to the players who made s1 division 1. Including myself who has also used kim multiple times in coli and arena foe her slow. To help quick kill a line or drag out for extra points. So by saying what you are saying is saying the standard of s1 is poor.
No. You actually did not make the right choice. No need to get involved if you do not have to.
Kim was a somewhat different proposition to usual last season due to the Study effect rule - that can be achieved with Barbossa and other Study heroes, but that’s then at least 2 hero slots filled and less space for other meta heroes. Kim teams aren’t usually as successful because of this.
I don’t think the refresh was a total failure, but neither did it achieve what people expected (which seems to have been pretty much a good stat buff leaving most of her kit as it was). She will definitely be very strong in certain teams, but has lost of few of the reasons people were using her, and will need some good Support.

not to mention study comes around a fair bit meant she was reguarly useful on coli arena
In the end, the question of whether or not PerBlue should return Kim Possible’s old skillset or make Kim Possible’s current skill set better is probably something most people here have different opinions on, but I imagine that at this point a hybrid version of the two skillset might be the best or return to the old skillset, but with new and improved stats.
So the 3 possible options would be:
1: Go with her current skillset and increase her HP and her defensive stats in terms of Disables.
2: Hybrid with Kim Possible getting back her Team Heal along with maybe the stun or slow.
3: Return to her original skillset and enhance her Support abilities instead of her Damage abilities.
Just to do a quick poll, which one of the 3 suggested options would you like the most?:
- 1: Enhance current
- 2: Hybrid
- 3: Enhance original

I just want old kim if they boost her hp damage fine but I liked her as is was she a damage hero no more like a control heal kinda hero. But i liked her now I think useless
TBH, this may be what PB thinks a “refresh” is. Since refresh means changing major parts, we should’ve asked them to “enhance” her.

I think to them a refresh mainly changes core stats, like damage of skills and SP
As previously stated, I want Kim’s stun and team heal to return, that is all I want to resume using her.
Keep all the other changes, but restore those two.
Pre-refresh state:
I committed serious amounts of resources into upgrading Kimmie because I believed she would be beneficial long term.
All of that was wasted because her refresh changed what I needed her for.
So at the moment, Kim has been sent to the bench to keep it warm, as I have no use for the new version of her skillset.
As a related issue, I’m also refusing to use other KP characters when they are added, for fear a similar refresh may happen to them.
Once burned, twice shy.

You stated this already when you announced you were no longer using kim and no longer upgrading her. (i think in update 2.7.10 patch notes)
It MIGHT be worth it upgrading her more, but if they do not return, it will be useless. I would recommend not doing that
There’s enough evidence that Kim isn’t ok, no testing will solve that.
@Polaris will she get HP increased and some parts of old skillset returned, like stun or AOE dart effect, which shouldn’t be nerfed as it wasn’t mentioned in patch notes.

We have no immediate plans to change Kim’s refresh.
But it doesn’t necessarily address why many of her utilities were removed

Polaris@ I hope you don’t mind me replying, but the thing in terms of damage is the fact that power is ruled by Power Creep, so if a character who is similar to Kim Possible ability wise yet a lot stronger, so in that case why should we use Kim Possible?
That’s the core issue, there are characters in the game stronger than Kim Possible damage wise, so why should we use her for Damage.
Kim Possible need to be at least the power of Mulan if the refresh didn’t already, ideally at the power level of Disgust or better in order to be desirable to use these days.
I posted this video in another place and I hope it is okey that I post it here as well, it is a good insightful video.
Power will always be ruled by Power Creep and there is no getting around of that at the core.
However non-power based things such as Utility skills and Counter/Crowd Control skills can, which is why older characters can be good as their skill sets have skills that aren’t purely based on power, which in this case Kim Possible’s Team Heal, Stun and Slow would represent.
Without the non-power based skills whether or not she is good relies entirely on her power output, which unfortunately isn’t as good the newest of the new character’s power so due to that she is already considered outdated.
It isn’t just to try a different team combination necessarily, if someone is stronger power wise and can’t compete with Utility or Counter skills, why use them which is the case for Kim Possible unfortunately now from what I understand.

Her HP was not decreased. The number you’ve mined out of the client aren’t real numbers. We have to put in something when we submit the client, so we do a best guess, but we need the time between Friday and the actual release to refine a hero’s numbers to ensure they’re balanced in relation to other heroes. (Kim is now in the top 5 overall).
When we refresh a hero there is always a give and take. We want to bring the heroes up to be more useful but not totally destroy the meta. With Kim we wanted to make a significant change to her damage, but that meant we had to adjust some of her other skills. She wasn’t nerfed, she’s just different. Having Kim keep all her old skills plus all the new numbers would make her break the game.
