Solo deals feedback

I’ll admit that I’m one of the people who dislikes this whole solo deal thing, but I’m trying to be civil and I even try to highlight why tensions are so high.

I’m sure positive feedback for solo deals exists, but there’s nothing I’ve seen to suggest that it’s even close to comparable to the vast amount negative feedback that can be found in this forum, game chat, redit and all sorts of other public outlets people have been using, so some direct examples would be useful.

As far as specific deals for specific circumstances goes, why not split the difference?
Retool solo deals so one can be stacked with non-solo deals, then have multiple solo deals for specific situations with a stackable deal with generic universally useful stuff?

What I don’t understand is, why is it possible to have 4 non-stackable solo days every day, but asking for two stackable normal deals every once in a while is suddenly out of the question?

I will have to agree. I usually don’t buy unless there are three stacked. These solo deals are not worth my money. I liked the game as dragon soul, and in this form it was not bad. But these solo deals just don’t add up. You have saved me a bunch of money. And possibly cost yourself an overall player.

I am not looking at this from an angry perspective. I see it as the vale proposition is going away. I’ll just look for another game that does not work this way in the App Store. I am currently a guild leader on server 16 and likely will not be playing much longer.

It’s not just server 14. I’m not even on s14, and it happened to us. See the thread title, s1-s20 solo deals.

But I completely agree… it sucks!!

I didn’t realize that other people hated the solo deals as much as I. So here I am, chiming in to say, these deals are not very good. No, not at all.

This is where I am upset. PERBLUE originally had this thread as SERVER 14 SOLO DEALS. So when it rolled out in my server (server 14) in the month of November, I was not a happy camper that this change in the deals was not communicated ahead of time. Then I noticed the title changed Server 14-20 (or up to 22, I forget). And then I got a little concerned that its going to more servers, potentially ALL SERVERS…and now we are here, where it is NOW IN ALL SERVERS. Again the company should have mentioned something in the patch update notes about the changes in the deals. I get the business side of things (raising revenue, paying PB employees, yada yada). But come on, take care of the customer. Members are mentioning how a small amount of players have exited the game, larger proportion of guilds in the top 200 in server 14 have at least 10 inactives, server mergers have become more infrequent. This is just a bad sign that Perblue is losing a significant number of players and are resorting to merging servers to keep it more active/full of players. I don’t even know why they insisted on opening 22 servers for this game. But what do I know

Point is a lot of players think about value a lot. Many players spend a significant amount of time on this game. Many have invested in this game financially because the way the deals where structured before were very beneficial to me (allowed me to get the deals I wanted the most (stamina deals, and the badge token/memory disk deals)

The amount of crying you all do is ridiculous. I’m getting the same amount of stuff pretty much exactly if not slightly more every time I spend money in this game now versus the past. You act as if stackable deals happened every single day multiple times a day and you’re now getting half the value of what you did in the past. Literally stackable deals happened rarely. And when they did, don’t fool yourself into thinking they were getting true bonus, most of the time original package was slightly diminished to make up for the fact that they were selling a stackable deal. If you spent $20 and got a bonus $5 package attached to it, you are not getting $25 worth of stuff for 20, you’re probably getting maybe 22. You are not getting the absolute best bonus buy $20 deal with the absolute best bonus buy $5 deal and getting $40 worth of stuff for 20. That almost never happened ever. The quality and value of the deals is exactly the same as it was before, now you just get more options and more choice. I appreciate the fact that there are multiple deals which doubles the chance of me logging in and seeing something I need available for purchase. You get the same amount of gems, VIP rings, and consumables. If you see a single individual deal that is not favorable and you’re judging the entire system by it, then stop being so naive. The deals fluctuate on the server for the same amount of stuff constantly depending on the day, upcoming event, etc. Saturday in the middle of a stamina spending contest, $20 will typically get you less stamina then it would in the middle of a week with no contest pending. That is simple supply and demand. $20 will get you around 1200 batteries or more currently, and if you spend $20 on less than that then that’s your own fault for making a less valuable purchase. Don’t lash out and blame the system for your own ineptitude. The perceived bonus you think you were getting once in a blue moon in no way whatsoever first of all is an actual value, and secondly in no way will that ever outweigh the benefits of having multiple simultaneous deals offering a variety of gameplay power-ups. The same people crying are the same people that cry and complain every single update because nobody is handing them an easy victory or lots of free stuff. these are the same people that complained that spenders have more powerful characters than they do, that lash out and blame the company for being greedy every time anything changes whether good or bad. Nothing in life is free, and I am getting quite sick of listening to all the complaints. Quit the game please, or enjoy it, either way shut up.

PS: if you think you have the right to complain loudly and ferociously every time a deal happens you don’t like, than you dang well better be on here praising loudly and aggressively every time they offer those amazing $5 deals with 150 new character bits and stamina and +5 mods. Such hypocrites!

Bummer, enjoy your newfound 3-4 hours of time a day!

Like I said, the new system benefits the heavy spenders who buy everything anyway, has no effect on F2P players who don’t, and has a huge negative effect on those who picked & choosed and took advantage of stacking deals, which were not that rare. Your comment has summed that up exactly :man_shrugging:

This is the 2nd piece of positive feedback I’ve seen, and the 2nd to come across in a rather rude fashion. :stuck_out_tongue:

As much as I personally don’t like these deals, insulting pb or Polaris is really uncalled for. There are plenty of ways to be heard without resulting to name calling or making false accusations. Do such things actually negates the value of your comment/opinion more than anything.

The argument that free to play players rely on stackable deals is dumb. You’re going to find more value and better deals in the $5 package realm than you ever will with stackable deals. And again, people are acting like stackable deals were frequent and amazing. Most of the time the bonus portion of the stack was not something you even needed or wanted, it just made you feel good about yourself to find the fake perceived value. Whatever it is in your life that is keeping you down, whoever it was that hurt you, it’s not the game’s fault. Take the blinders off and stop becoming so desperate when change happens. There are amazing deals and great value for low cost every single week without stacking. All these people complaining spend all their time complaining and so they missed them. That’s their fault, no one else and certainly not the game.

These deals hurt the free-to-play community.

You guys do not pay the developer salaries, nor the cost of maintenance for the game. You may be the biggest portion in the game population wise, but financially you contribute nothing. Why are you so entitled to think the game should cater to you? There are plenty of free things, events, free in-game coins, and a variety of other ways in which for free or very little cost you can play the game and enjoy it. If you’re miserable it’s your own fault. Compare yourself to people in your own class and level, not to the top players.

It’s not fair, people who spend on the game have more stuff than me who spends nothing.

Duh.

PerBlue has ruined the game.

So you keep saying. Every single update. Every single time. And yet you are still here. It’s almost as if you play the game simply to have something to complain about…

The deals are terrible now, PerBlue is greedy.

There are always fluctuating deals in which some have a great value, some average value, and some poor value. To call a company greedy because they want your money? Let’s just take a moment to pause and reflect. A company. Wants money. That is so strange, it’s almost as if they have expenses and without profit the game would turn off and the company would go bankrupt.

The game is dying because of the server merges and inactive players in each Guild.

Then why do I continue to see new players? Didn’t world of Warcraft merge servers? Didn’t people say that game was dying like 10 years ago? Didn’t that game just have a new version released recently? Lay off the panic button. Even Warcraft, the power house of gaming that it is, has huge numbers on expansion releases that dwindle down after a few months. This game was growing and needed more servers, now that it has stabilized the servers are merging. In fact I wish something would merge into server one, @Polaris hint hint. The people parading around and crying the loudest just desperately need attention. They desperately want someone to beg them to stay in the game when they threaten to quit. Don’t feed them. Let them leave. After 600 days played, a few people got bored and wanted to leave. Big deal. Hardly means the game is dying when there’s plenty of people with less than 200 days played in the top 50.

plus the back into the fray.

this was in August, and 3-way deals were indeed rare, but 2-way deals happened at least once a week - including at the $5 price point.

All your comments sound very egotistical and that you think that because you are wealthy, you can have complete disregard for anybody else’s opinion. If some of the things you’ve said were directed to PB, they would be flagged - so don’t be surprised to see that. :flushed:

What the hell. That’s bunch of bad fairytales.
All deals are repetive (not including festivale ones, such as Thanksgiving, Christmas or Black Friday), “red deals - unique” offered MORE items than usual same type of the deal.

  • Instead of 250 stamina packs, player received 350 packs.

Additionaly was ANOTHER deal which cost same as unique deal( or the special was cheaper), so you ended with two packages of deals with better and bigger variery of items which are helpful for individual progress growth.
And for over 1000 time, somebody needs to explain that stackable deals were quite often thing.

Here’s another set from August -

1300 stam boosts, 1250 diamond crates, 5m gold, a double bag and 100 hero chips - plus the diamonds and VIP rings. Even with the naturally inflated value of today, you’d do extremely well to receive all that for your $20.

And I actually bought it, it was amazing, so GIANT kick of power, those bags, stamina and hero chips for new (broken) hero + diamonds, wonderful. Now 2 slots are taken by something what was always included, so only 4 things can be included.
Now - Getting less, for bigger prices.

Solo deals are terrible. As all resources become scarcer…i.e stamina costs go up, disk power costs go up, mod power costs go up, new characters are added at am exponentially increasing rate…the removal of deal stacking is a huge set back.

It isn’t like it hurts PerBlue to stack deals…why would this change be implemented…seems like a way to push people away. Hopefully it causes a dramatic shift in spending…

Oh wait, there just happens to be a fortify contest that requires insane levels of spending this weekend. Luckily there was just a cap increase, and mergers to force people to spend more to keep up.

Brilliant business model PerBlue…cheers!
