Well that´s good. Although Buy All would be better.
By my experiments, they have around 20% return on Credits/resale of XP… if I take white, green, blue badges and plans one can sell, it comes to around 50%.

So, if one was to use X gold on gold crates over and over, one can get 2*X value of stuff at the end.
(1 + 1/2 + 1/4 + 1/8 + 1/16 + … = 2)
Not to mention it´s the only good and reliable way to get Wicked Beats badge (even though I mentioned it in the Trials Refresh idea) and it gives a decent amount of chips too - good for 6-starring characters as well as raising red skills.

Also, maybe the team could add some more rewards to Gold Crates with the Buy 100 option @Loutre?
Like, at least, Orange and Red Bits (5x or 10x), Red Skill Chips (5x or 10x) etc.?

No, there needs to be a scroll that lets us buy multiple crates at once

People might make the mistake of using all of their gold for gold crates, and some people have hundreds of millions of gold

Even if you spend all of, say 100M gold on them, you still get back 20M just in credits or small XP drinks. And altogether 50M when you sell blue badges and plans…

As I said you can only lose 50M just doing a quite simple thing.

Also, by spending a decent amount on gold crates you can basically sell all blue bits you possess.

The rewards from gold crates need to be able to make up for costs

But they do! Have you ever seen how many hero chips you get. Besides not to mention that you cannot really evaluate the hero chips as we can´t sell them.
I do believe that if hero chips were able to be sold, the return rate would be around 70%!
(Also, it gives purple bits quite often, some valuable, some not.)

Gold Crates aren’t as horrible as everyone says.
I’d like the rewards to be increased A BIT (can’t really ask much for a crate that costs 90k gold…). Like 2/3 chips instead of one. And slightly better XP drinks?

But yeah it’d be annoying if one were to lose half of their gold at once. The slider would still let you buy everything, so I think it’d work perfectly

That depends on how much PerBlue decides you can sell them for, which no one can really determine

Right now, it is. You get so many badge bits which you don’t really need or have too much of.

The only good things from gold crates are purple bits for expensive purple badges, such as the Fa Family Shears badge

The only special thing gold crates have are that they are practically unlimited. You can waste your gold on them for contests.

But other than that, trash

Like… you don´t even touch gold crates until after you have nothing to spend gold on. And right now I don´t - my characters have maxed skills, no XP drinks to level them up to use those Skill Points even, so the only way for me to spend gold unironically are gold crates. And if I can grow my investment it is even better.

Like… Diamond Crates aren´t worth even a 1/100th of their normal price, but Gold Crates are worth 100% of that 90k gold for a buy 10. That´s exceptional. Compared to other trash in the game, they are… not really trash at all.

And what are you gonna invest in? If all of the heroes you use have their skills maxed, then you have no reason to waste gold, other than for contests

I’ve bought 20 red bits for less than 90K gold in the black market. The gold crate’s not worth it

It can give chips even for the newest character outside the exclusivity of Diamond Crates. So say, if a new Diamond Crate hero is announced, Shego will be in Gold Crates because… 1* hero…

You cannot do that reliably and for needed bits = useless. That you “can buy” it means it sometimes appear handy. But is inconsistent.
I still think you are advocating for the gold crate from the F2P standpoint of “I don´t have any gold left” so… I don´t say it´s bad, but I do say that I had far more time spent studying the gold crates than like 98% people in forums or Discord.

And what have you got? That they have more worth than the badges bits sold for gold in black markets?

As a player, I wanna get more bang for my buck. And to do that, I need to look at the cheapest options. Gold crates are not worth it. From just 10 Buy 10 pulls, including the badge drops shown earlier

I got less than 20 gold crates worth of gold back. The hero chips are worthless because they do not belong to any of the heroes I use. And I can’t sell them. But if I were to use those chips, then the things I got would be worth less than 30 gold crates. I dunno, it’s just an estimate.

tl;dr gold crates are also scams.

How many times I have to repeat that?
They are random, most of the times you don´t even need them and they spawn once a day.
Wow, so good, so awesome… so limited.

From the consistent thing that you can spam over and over, Gold Crate is the best. No questioning in that even. It uses the widely available resource and while it does not provide godly rewards they are still far above the average of the rest of the trash in this game…

No. It’s not “unquestionable”. Just because it’s the cheapest crate doesn’t mean it’s the better crate.

Diamond crates are obviously better than gold crates. You can argue that they are more expensive, but these recent contests make them more available.
