Disney Heroes: Battle Mode Update 6.5

Welcome to the Disney Heroes: Battle Mode 6.5 Update! This release features Lady & Tramp, Isabela Madrigal and Franny Robinson plus a number of improvements and bug fixes.

Overview

  • New! Lady & Tramp from Disney’s Lady and the Tramp
  • New! Isabela Madrigal from Disney’s Encanto
  • New! Franny Robinson from Disney’s Meet the Robinsons

Lady & Tramp

Lady & Tramp are a Frontline “Control” Hero on the Yellow team. Lady & Tramp will be available in the Battle Pass starting October 1st, 2024.

Skills

Romantic Dinner
Passive: Lady & Tramp bark two times at nearby enemies with their Basic Attacks. Each hit deals some bonus True Damage and applies a few Weakness stacks for a few seconds.

Active: Lady & Tramp enjoy some of Tony’s spaghetti together, and for the next few seconds, all Damage dealt by them and their allies is converted into True Damage. During this time, everyone affected also gains some Attack Speed, Skill Power, and Basic Damage.

Puppy Treat
Lady performs a majestic trick, Healing herself and all allies for some HP and granting everyone a few stacks of a new buff called Endurance!

Each Stack of Endurance on a unit will block one instance of damage.

Nip
Tramp nips the closest enemy, dealing some Normal Damage, Stunning them for a few seconds, and applying a new debuff called Vulnerable that lasts for several seconds.

Vulnerable heroes receive a percentage of their max HP as True Damage each time they receive a buff.

Lady’s collar
If an enemy is KO’d while under the Vulnerable effect, Tramp will instantly cast Nip. With each use, Lady & Tramp’s Nip increases their damage by an additional amount of Normal Damage.

Lady & Tramp gain a few Endurance stacks whenever a Vulnerable enemy is KO’d.

Lady & Tramp, along with all allies who have at least one Endurance stack, now deal some bonus True Damage with each Basic Attack.

When Lady & Tramp lose their last Endurance stack, they will instantly cast Nip. Nip now Heals Lady & Tramp for a small amount of HP and removes all buffs from the enemy hit.

That enemy also gets Limited, Cursed, and Drained for several seconds. Nip can also no longer be Dodged, and all of its associated debuffs cannot be blocked by Hardy stacks.

Battle Badge

  • Charge Condition: 10 Seconds of Combat have elapsed
  • Stat Buff: +Max HP
  • Lineup Buff: +Basic Damage per Yellow Ally
  • Effect Buff: Self Shield

Isabela Madrigal

Isabela Madrigal is a Backline “DPS” Hero on the Blue team. Isabela Madrigal will be available in the Prize Wall starting October 8th, 2024.

Skills

Prickly Pass
Passive: Isabela’s Basic Attacks explode into a puff of smoke, affecting the original target and all nearby enemies. Affected enemies are dealt some Fantastic Damage per second for a few seconds.

Active: Isabela throws a cactus at the closest enemy, dealing some Fantastic Damage.

That enemy and others nearby also gain a Damage over Time effect that deals a certain amount of Fantastic Damage every second for the next few seconds.

If any of these enemies already had a Damage over Time effect on them, they will be dealt a single instance of extra True Damage when this new Damage over Time effect is applied.

+Fantastic Damage

Vine Grasp
Isabela creates a vine that deals some Fantastic Damage to the nearest enemy, Knocking them Back and Snaring them for a few seconds.

After being Knocked Back, the original target and all enemies hit along the way take a percentage of their Max HP as Fantastic Damage per second for a few seconds.

When the Snare wears off, the target is Stunned for several seconds.

Veil of Elegance
Isabela creates a veil of plants around herself and allies, granting everyone a Heal over Time that restores a percentage of their Max HP per second for several seconds. During this time, everyone affected also gains some Skill Power and increased Movement and Attack Speed.

If an enemy attacks Isabela or an ally while the veil is active, they have a Damage over Time effect applied to them for several seconds. This Damage over Time deals a percentage of their Max HP as Fantastic Damage each second. Each individual enemy can gain this Damage over Time effect once every few seconds

+Skill Power

Succulent Surge
Whenever Isabela creates a plant with one of her skills, she Heals herself for some HP, and for the next several seconds, she Heals for a percentage of the Damage she deals.

Isabela’s Damage over Time effects now add a few stacks of Corruption to enemies while also Cursing and Sapping them for several seconds when applied.

+Healing

Botanical Beauty
Isabela’s Damage over Time effects remove all stacks of Hardy from an enemy before they are applied. While affected by one of Isabela’s Damage over Time effects, enemies cannot gain Hardy stacks.

When an enemy Hero gets KO’d for the first time, all surviving enemy Heroes gain a Damage over Time effect that deals True Damage per second for the rest of the wave. Each time this Damage over Time effect ticks on an enemy, they gain a stack of Decay.

After Vine Grasp activates, for the next several seconds, all enemy Heroes hit by Vine Grasp cannot gain buffs. Additionally, every time they are prevented from gaining a buff this way, they gain a stack of Fatigue. Enemy Heroes can gain Fatigue stacks this way once every few seconds.

Battle Badge

  • Charge Condition: Apply 2 Damage over Time effects
  • Stat Buff: +Skill Power
  • Lineup Buff: +Skill Power per DPS Role
  • Effect Buff: Berserk

Franny Robinson

Franny Robinson is a Frontline “Control” Hero on the Blue team. Franny Robinson will be introduced in the Contest Rank Rewards starting October 25th, 2024. However, players will only be able to earn her after the contest concludes on October 31st, 2024.

Skills

Feelin’ Froggy
Passive: For each Stat Change granted by Franny, her Basic Attacks deal extra True Damage. She can gain up to a maximum amount of bonus True Damage this way. This effect persists between waves.

Active: Franny brings out her band of singing frogs, whose croaking deals some True Damage to all enemies and decreases their Armor and Reality for several seconds.

Franny and allied heroes gain Inspiration from the cacophony of sounds, increasing their Basic Damage and Skill Power for several seconds.

Paternal Patronizing
Franny scolds the opposing team, dealing some True Damage to all enemies.

Additionally, enemies have their Basic Damage and Skill Power decreased for several seconds.

Impenetrable Defense
Franny strikes a karate pose, increasing her Armor and Reality for several seconds.

During this effect, any enemies who attempt to deal instant Damage to Franny or apply a Damage over Time effect are dealt some True Damage. Franny can only damage each individual enemy this way once every few seconds.

When Impenetrable Defense ends, Franny Cleanses herself and increases her Attack and Movement Speed by a certain percentage for several seconds.

Family Feast
Franny Robinson is Immune to Disables.

When Franny gives herself or an allied hero a Stat Boost, she removes all Stat Decreases from that hero. Conversely, when Franny gives an enemy hero a Stat Decrease, she removes all Stat Boosts from the enemy.

Paternal Patronizing now increases Franny’s allies’ Armor and Reality by a certain amount.

Red Ribbon
Stat Changes from Franny’s Skills cannot be removed, copied or stolen.

Feelin’ Froggy now increases Franny’s and all allies’ Basic Damage, Skill Power, Armor, Reality, and Max HP by a certain percentage, and decreases all enemies’ Basic Damage, Skill Power, Armor, Reality, and Max HP by a different percentage for several seconds.

Franny retains a percentage of her self-applied Stat Boosts, and allies retain a percentage of the Stat Boosts Franny grants them after expiration. Franny and allies can gain a maximum amount of increased stats, and these buffs cannot be removed, copied, or stolen, lasting between waves.

Allied heroes targeted by Franny’s Stat Boosts are Immune to Stat Decreases for the duration of the boost. Enemy heroes targeted by Franny’s Stat Decreases are immune to Stat Boosts for the duration of the decrease.

  • Charge Condition: 10 Seconds of Combat have elapsed
  • Stat Buff: +Armor
  • Lineup Buff: +Reality per DPS Role
  • Effect Buff: +Critical Damage

Patch Season 24 Information

As we are now releasing 3 Heroes per month, we have made the decision to align the release of new Patch Seasons to the same week of new Chapter releases, to spread out new content in a more exciting way, and ensure newly released Heroes are well balanced.

With this in mind, we are planning to release Patch Season 24 on October 15th, 2025.

Favorite System

We are excited to share the brand new and highly requested Favorite System!

  • Tag your favorite Heroes with the Favorite tag by tapping on the ‘Heart’ icon in the Hero Page
  • Filter in any part of the game through the Heroes that are listed as your Favorites!

More enhancements and deeper functionality will be added to the Favorite System in the future, so stay tuned!

Merchants Refresh

We are so excited to announce that we’re finally releasing some long awaited Merchant Refreshes! The changes below affect the Market, Black Market, and Mega Mart. We are expecting to make further adjustments with the upcoming updates, but for now, this is what you can expect from this update:

  • Changes to the Market :
    • Added 2 more slots
      • No action is needed to unlock these new slots
      • This is additional to of the 2 additional slots you can get from Guild Perks
    • Each slot has a fixed currency cost instead of changing every time the Shop is refreshed
  • Adjustments to Badges Offered
    • Buyable Badges are now more relevant according to players’ needs
    • Badges are less random and are offered based on individual players’ hero investments
  • Adjustments to pricing
    • Earlier this year, we already adjusted the pricing of badges, but now we’re also adjusting the costs of various consumables that can be purchased in the Shops
    • Older badges and bits starting from Chapter 76 and below will be discounted by 50%
    • Due to improvements in the offerings and relevance to the current-day economy, the cost of Shop Refreshes will increase

As mentioned above, we have further changes coming to the Shops, including improving the amount of hero chips offered, XP drinks, and more!

Improvements

  • New Guild Perks
    • Added 5 levels to Car Bonuses 1-6
    • Added 1 level for the Guild Influence Storage perk
    • Added a new level each to Guild Check In perks 10 and 40
  • New Hero Improvements
    • In the All Heroes page, added a section at the top for all recently released Heroes that you don’t have unlocked yet, so you know exactly what you’re missing
    • Added a special VFX to the Battle Pass Hero icon on the Home Screen
    • Added a Time left label for Battle Pass to expire below the Battle Pass Hero icon on the Home Screen
  • Removed Auto Changing of Memory Disks
    • Now your Memory Disks won’t change automatically every time you go into battle
    • Added a toggle so players can turn this feature on or off
  • Prize Wall Adjustments
    • As we gather data from the Mastery Prize Walls and the newest Heimlich Prize Wall release, we’re making some adjustments to the quests and rewards
    • Some hero quests were removed, and a new daily quest has been added
    • Wall reward amounts have been adjusted to be better aligned with the current in-game economy:
      • XP Drinks
      • Gold
      • Disk Power
      • Stamina Consumables
  • New Surge Formula
    • Due to power creep (which we’re working on with the recent balancing runs!), this has caused gold gains from Surge to skyrocket into an unhealthy trend
    • As a result, we’re changing the formula to rely on player and enemy rarities instead of Power
    • Our aim to make sure that players that earn a significant amount of gold from Surge do not earn less, but due to variability in Power, we might not get it right the first time
      • As a result of the new formula, it will likely cause gains for most players to increase
    • We’ll keep an eye on gains during this time, which we are expecting to rise, but will flatten out until we get to a healthy point
  • New Referral Rewards
    • We’re running a new referral campaign! Details can also be found here
    • For a limited time until November 1, 2024, you can earn additional rewards for up to 40 referrals! Between 10 - 40, you will receive per referral:
      • 500 Diamonds and 1 Badge Crate
    • New users that were referred starting from September 17th until November 1, 2024, will receive a 19.99 USD voucher, redeemable on any qualifying in-app Disney Heroes: Battle Mode offer of equal value, if they complete Chapter 20 in the Normal Campaign by December 1, 2024.
      • If you refer a friend that completes Chapter 20 in the Normal Campaign by December 1st, you will receive, up to a maximum of 10 times:
        • 100 Hero Chips for the 6.7 Battle Pass Hero per successful referral that meets the criteria
        • 100 VIP Rings per successful referral that meets the criteria
  • Heimlich Patch Talent Changes
    • After some testing, we’ve decided to change Heimlich’s first and third Patch Talents, to ensure that Heimlich brings more team utility to battle besides its tanking capabilities

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed Rex and Hopper Battle Freeze on Friendship Campaign
  • City Watch Reset button was hidden in some devices
  • Fixed a bug where Jim Hawkins Green Skill buff was applied too soon and its effects weren’t being sent
  • Fixed a visual bug where long number units were being incorrectly translated
  • Fixed a bug where the Unlock Battle Pass button was missing for some users
  • Fixed a crash when using Bruno in Surge
  • Fixed bugs where ‘Health Drain’ and ‘Nimble’ Patch Talents weren’t working as intended
  • Fixed a visual bug where Mirabel’s Battle Badge buff icon was Max HP instead of Armor
  • Fixed a bug where players weren’t able to max Gaston’s Hero level
  • Fixed a bug where players would get stuck in Node 7 of Felix-Olaf’s Friendship Campaign

New Hero Locations and Content Adjustments

Heroes will not appear in new locations until they refresh.

Please note the heroes in the Elite Campaign have been slightly adjusted.

  • John Silver replaces Hector Barbossa in the Surge Shop

… Wait, what? We got Patch Notes a day early?

This is the one pairing listed here I don’t understand at all. What do Pegasus and Isabella have in common? Why wasn’t this Elsa or Rapunzel or even Jasmine? Wouldn’t Pegasus fit Antonio a lot better?


Unfortunately, it has long been confirmed that Tarzan characters cannot be added to DH:BM due to copyright issues.

Where’s Anxiety? I know it’s been few weeks to work on three characters from 3 films like Lady and the Tramp, Encanto, and Meet the Robinsons but not Inside Out 2.

Interesting kit

This one sounds kinda broken honestly. I like her but I hope she won’t be as OP as Sally. On that note, Isabela looks like she’ll make Sally way stronger than she already is, with the hardy blocking and everything… might be time to actually tone Sally down, the last nerf wasn’t really enough and Eda and Negaduck were her two main counters before…

Wow! Big update today, lots to talk about, but I also have several questions. I’ll come back later with further thoughts (because I’m sure people are waiting for them with bated breath, lol), but I want to get the questions out ASAP in hopes they can be answered, or at least research started on them, before everyone leaves PerBlue this evening…

(@Samm @TheGrillFather Sorry for the ping, but considering how quiet things have been here, I want to try to ensure my questions are seen.)

Normal and Fantastic Damage can, of course, be doubled or tripled by a hero’s relevant Crit stat. Will this conversion to true damage take place after any potential Crit increases, or before? And will the Crit Damage secondary stat still increase the damage as well?

Goob, I mean, Bowler Hat Guy is on the Blue team; will Franny be on that team as well, or are we starting to see heroes from the same franchise assigned to different color teams?

EDIT: I got confirmation on Discord that Franny is supposed to be on the Blue team.

Not a complaint, since I like her, but is Audrey really getting two new friendships in a month?

So the current Patch Season will be extended until then? And on the subject of aligning releases, will Prize Walls still be 2 weeks on, 1 week off, or will that be changed as well to align them with the other release schedules?

Will we still be able to tap and hold a hero’s icon in order to manually change the disk if we wish, even with the automatic change feature turned off? Is there any chance of redoing the sequence of screens, so that the screen for Subclasses comes immediately after or before the ones for Memory Disks?

Is there any chance we could see a modest increase in the hero chips given for the lower rank tiers? It’s going to be frustrating if players have to push for the top 5% just to unlock Franny’s red skill before the end of the second contest. Maybe 35/50/75/100 chips for the top 50%/25%/10%/5%?

Can we please just have a way to increase the amount of gold drinks we get? Because port doesn’t really help at all, and I only get at least 10,000 drinks which doesn’t even come close to how much is required to level up every single character in the game. At least 50,000 would be a good start tbh.

Y’know, you could just make hero kits more balanced with fewer buffs instead of resorting to stuff like this.

Immune to all disables as a normal skill? So it begins… Removing all stat boosts is horrendously op.

Copied or stolen, that’s fair. But not removable is nasty.

Balanced? All the heros released over a year ago would like a word about that I think. At this point even when Pooh, Violet, Finnick, and Peter Pan finally get refreshed they’re still going to be virtually useless. They cannot compete with the likes of these three, even with patch and battle badge. You’ve nerfed Eda multiple times now and yet the new heros coming out after her latest nerf look even worse than her. Calling it now Isabella at least will have to be nerfed, her kit looks terrifying.

Exclusive is a good word to use, I never even saw Beast’s go by.

In theory, this is good. We’ll have to see what things look like. Stamina consumables remaining at a pitiful 60 stamina when badges cost in the millions now is problematic though. You have to use a TON of them to get any reasonable amount of stamina.

I really hope this is tied to the broken revive - it needs fixed so bad.

@Samm could the team please look at the return of the home button, I am not quite sure why they would remove it for an event one but it makes navigation of the game much harder at least for personally, too much is in the home screen that is hard to get to without home screen.

don’t understand this in the slightest. First point says that gold from surge is too high, second point says that the new aim is for players to not earn less, and then it goes on to say that players will actually earn more? :thinking:🤷🏻

it’s both amusing and completely on-brand that instead of fixing his red skill which has been totally game breaking for what seems like an eternity, a different bug has been fixed that nobody knew about and will result in him being stronger :rofl:🤦🏻
