Why I am asked to pay more than everyone else for the same bundle

For example, the chip bundle is $14.99 for me and $9.99 for everyone else,
It has been the same for every bundle.

The same deal is $9.99 for me, that’s not right to charge you more.

Dang, that’s messed up

It’s showing $9.99 for me as well. Selective pricing is a disgusting practice and I’m very disappointed to see that it is being used in this game.

. Here is what I’m seeing

Meanwhile here’s mine at 12.99 lol

It’s not right for them to charge people different prices.

That offer just left my server but mine was 20 bucks…lol

Can we get a role call for everyone’s servers? I just got this deal for 10$ on server 4.

It’s not based on server, it’s different for different players on same servers. Most likely based on VIP and purchase history. The more you buy the higher the price. It’s been like this from the start of the game.

Have reported this several times in-game and on forums, but as long as some people keep paying nothing will change.

Is the same dollars for everyone? I mean, dollar is used in number of countries, so difference in price could be due to exchange rate.

If it was exchange rate it wouldn’t be going up in increments of 5.

Offers are shown in the currency where you live, and they use the proper sign or letters for each currency. $ is US dollars.

I am personally aware of 4 different prices on Server 3 for this bundle, all in US dollars. Based on comparing VIP levels, it doesn’t seem to be totally based on that either.

I’m on s3, with a high vip level and this bundle offer is $9.99 for me. So I don’t think it’s the more you’ve spent the more expensive it is either…

Also my second account on a different server is vip0 and also has it for $9.99

There are different practices how to suck the most from customers.

  1. Different countries have different prices. e.g. people in Switzerland or UK are considered wealthy and must buy for a higher price than people in Brazil or Germany. That’s also a practice with subscription tiers for products like Spotify or Evernote. Not sure if PerBlue does the same thing. Is not price $12.99 in AUD which would give $9.35 USD?

  2. Magical lottery boxes. You buy a diamond crate and at the beginning it’s wonderful. You get many items, later it’s not so wonderful as you get maybe 10% worth of loot because you have many duplicates. That’s a very popular practice in mobile games. Hopefully, EU might pass a bill when they finally agree what they want to do. The main argument is that it’s identical to gambling and should be illegal the same way as no every random Joe can open a private bank or casino. EA had a huge problem with this in a couple of their games. Some mobile games are showing drop-rate percentage. Not sure if it’s covering this “gambling” issue but at least you know what to expect

  3. Offering old items for a cheaper price. It’s been also common practice in many games, from small to big ones like World of Warcraft. Personally, I think this is OK if they don’t undershoot the price. You can also buy a new car or computer that is cheaper in 2 years. You won’t be the first on your block but you will get it and meanwhile, others will be spending more for a new thing to have a head start.

  4. PerBlue special… (less common in mobile games) offer 4-5 times better deals of a generic item to certain players in the hope they will spend. It’s not giving other casual spenders an opportunity of catching up but it gives them even a head start. You can think of it as buying food in a shop 4 times more expensive for you than others because you are/were willing to pay. You need it to live, in this case, it was stamina packs, which you need to progress + other circumstances made it a no-brainer deal for those who are willing to spend at least a tiny bit - more complains in https://discourse.disneyheroesgame.com/t/70-stamina-potions-offer-deal/

The only thing that you can do is stop buying to make a difference but we all know it’s not very realistic as some players don’t care and others are just too addicted.

There was a thread about this yesterday that got flagged, as some people on server 7 had a deal for stamina pots for 9.99 and others did not.
Just make offers open and fair to All regardless of there VIP and spend.
let people have a choice to buy.
but this is even worse charging targeting players with different prices.

This is due to Apple tier pricing.

Any $9.99 US deal costs $14.99 in Australia.

Canada is $12.99 - even though their dollar is basically the same as Australia.

Basically Apple are screwing Australia…but how do you get Apple to make prices fair?

It has nothing to do with apple. I don’t have apple and as I stated above mine cost 20 dollars
