Heist Feedback Wanted!

I am adding to my previous comment as my guild appears to be running into a major bug, or if it isn’t a bug it’s certainly not intuitive as to how to solve the problem. I have taken screenshots as well to show that all of the typical conditions to be able to play heist are met.

Yesterday when I had started a heist I had set it to private and invited several friends and guild players, a few were able to join but others were not; at first we chalked it up to maybe they didn’t have enough heroes or something of that nature. Today one of my guild mates tried to start a heist in private mode, sent an invite to all guild players including myself. I could see the invite, I had 6 tickets, and they were the only player in game so I most certainly had enough heroes to play. When I went to the game through the invite there was no option to ‘join’, I tried going to the game through the heist building with the same result. Just to make sure it was just this game I tried going to another public game and he join option was available. No one else that was invited was able to join the game either. I will include picture below to show all of what I have outlined here

This shows that I had received the invite

This shows that there was no join option

This shows that the game was showing up in the heist building, and that I had several tickets and a free play available

This shows the guild chat where other members were also having the same problem.

Please add a Vote Kick feature so we can remove people who refuse to cooperate. It will definitely cut down frustations.

-5 daily free tickets (not just 1)
-Reduce time to travel around map
-Increase amount of heist tokens from won battles

This needs to be streamlined if it’s going to be a daily thing. Right now it’s very tedious and frustrating. The difficulty needs tuning. A level 50 thief basically perma-stuns a player into oblivion. How about starting the heist in a much smaller area and then expanding it as other players join. It takes too long and isn’t fun right now. Finally I don’t know how many times I’ve clicked a POI for a character to travel to but the sensitivity of the map sends them to a blank spot nearby the POi instead.

It’s difficult to understand at first. To defeat a thief is very hard.

Commander Bambi here,

The heist is awesome and it’s great to have a real time multiplayer mode.
Feedback- I just wish there was a faster way of communicating with the indviduls you are partyed with. The other big thing is that I would be nice to be able to see maybe the levels of other people characters before joining… because some people you join with are level 50 but are playing with characters that are unskilled up and they are less effective.

I’m sure this game mode was designed for the upper level player with large amounts of time available to play in mind, but I hit level 50 on the first day of the heist opening, so I figured I can still try it out.

There is very little that I can do. I’ve only able to get 3 characters to purple and only 2 of those are 3star. I have yet to be able to use any of those three because they’re taken before I can get in a heist already set up. More often than not, I only have 3-4 characters at all that I could use, so I don’t get to join. The only solution to this seems to be host my own or do it through guildmates, which I may try later.

I was able to join 2 so far. Both times, i had full B2 lvl50 rosters, all damage and I’m getting crushed. It’s taking entirely too long to move these characters from point to point and I’m frankly very bored.

I lucked out with my first one…there were 2 high level players in with us and their characters were able to take the brunt of the damage, but this is not fun to me. I hardly contributed since my characters were constantly KO’d and i felt guilty for even taking up the spot.

The second time was just not fun as a whole. I think all four of us were in the same boat with underpowered characters and couldn’t defeat ambushes let alone the thief battles. This should be solved later when we all level up enough to participate properly, but then new lvl50s will be in the same boat we were. This heist drug on and on and I ran out of time to be able to contribute.

Thats actually my biggest issue with the Heists in general. I am a working adult and parent, and for me to be engaged, modes in games like Disney Heroes need to be quick and straightforward, and/or have the ability to pause if I need to jump out and answer the phone or respond to emails/texts. I usually only open game apps if I have 5-10 minutes free; I just can’t start something that i know will take all my attention and might last more than 30mins because something may come up to pull me away from the game.

So, maybe this mode just isn’t made for me. I like the concept of searching out clues to find a thief, but i just can’t commit, especially since if I have to leave, it puts the other 4 players at a disadvantage. And if something does come up, I may not be able to try again later because I’d only have one free attempt per day. Perhaps if there was a single player mode (similar to the tutorial but longer) that i could play throughout the day? Or practice modes using AI?

Thanks for reading. I do appreciate the time put into this mode (it truly does feel like something different) but so far I have not enjoyed it and can’t see myself doing this on a regular basis.

I really like the concept as a whole, but I feel like it is pretty difficult.

I think there should be a time limit on how long someone should be disconnected for, then allow someone to take their place. It’s not fun having 2 of the 4 people in your group leave.

I think there should be a power level minimum for a champ to join. A lot of people come in with very weak champs that end up hurting more than helping.

Help seems to take a long time to arrive. Having a back liner find the thief usually means they’re flattened before the tank 3s away can even get there.

Help takes way too long to survive before creep engage and wipe you out. Movement can be slow and the complexity plus player control means that if one player is out of sync or pulls heroes away from your objective then you literally wasted the last 1-2 minutes of search and move. Hate it all comes down to one fight so that when you find the hideout if a player chooses to fight and calls the worst heroes on the map and loses then the last 20 minutes are wasted. Way way to complex and too many search points. I can see a simpler version being so so good but at the moment to complex and slow to get going and understand. Keep up the good work on the game though. Stuff like this will always have teething issues

Second feedback post, still strongly believe what I posted in the first post.

Another point though, is time. Some heists, due to lack of other player support can easily click over 20 minutes. 20 minutes for one game mode which you can’t afford to pause or leave is just far too long. Something needs to be done about that.

Perhaps don’t start a heist until at least 3 players commit, and remove players if they go inactive so another can take their place?

Also speed up character movement in general, when you run out of energy it takes far too long to travel just a short distance on the map.

Also, I’m still very concerned about the low power some lv 50 players offer; especially now the game has made it even easier to allow newer players to increase their team level. Easy…needs to be easier.

It takes too long and demands too much of my attention, because of that I’m not able to play it competitively which means my entire game suffers.

I’m now thinking of dropping this game, this new game plus the p2w demands mean it’s not worth my time to dedicate to it.

I think the heist is ok. I do think the tutorial isn’t quite enough. I think it would be nice if you create a heist, invite people and wait for them to join before starting. I found on the one I started that usually at least 1 if not 2 gems are missing before I even get a 2nd person to join. So I think a que with the host having a choice of when to start would be nice. This would also give time to go over strategy while waiting for others to join.

Good.

Very slow paced, needs a speed up button in battle and I start help within a certain range.

3rd feedback…

After playing this a bit I have started to get the hang of it and have managef a few wins (hideouts found and defeat by me), as well as being on a winning team a few times (hideout won by someone else).

I like that there is a lead in time to a fight as this allows you to bring Heros closer before commencing the fight. However, this is seriously undermined by the lack any exclusivity time for the player managing the hero in question. I would suggest that 1/3 to 1/2 of the fight lead in time be exclusive to the player that owns the hero. Otherwise you end up with inexperienced players starting the fight when there are insufficient supporting heroes in vicinity. as it stands you have to weigh up the risk of your fight being nabbed by another player against ensuring sufficient support is available.

When it comes to the hideout this problem is magnified… I hate it when I find the hideout, have supporting heroes on way (10-20 secs at most - which is not much given you have 4mins to commence) and someone else starts and looses the fight. What a waste of my time that was… Oh and that was my only free heist for the day…

From my experience:

The way each battle is, battles have been so sluggish. As other people said about the easy difficulty, I totally agree with them that it’s not so easy at all and should need a change of some sorts. Just by trying to get people to join their heist and their buddies has something irl to do, it makes Heists much more harder and the start time of the heist should be timed to allow people to join within a time period or until all the 5 slots are full before the host can start the heist. That way people could possibly change their lineups and see what heroes they’re bringing to the heist so they can alter their lineups correctly to support their squads.

I love the ability to have the clues sought. Vast improvement on the speed at which the other members join. Would suggest once the thief is caught that all characters close begin to walk towards the thief; if they’re caught why not gain assistance immediately and not have to wait to call heroes. Keep the call for assistance on ambushes, it makes sense. I would like it if there is someone standing watch over the valuable to be able to spot the thief before the thief steals the valuable, what is the purpose of losing a character to stand watch if the thief can still steal it?. Otherwise my games have been relatively short. Other than that vast improvement.

You’re right but we’ll get better
