Heist Feedback Wanted!

Liking the changes, heists are definitely getting smoother. Would still like to see some form of limitation on who gets to start fights. If I find the hideout, there should be a grace period where only I can initiate the fight, maybe 60-90 seconds. Too often there’s a trigger happy fool who dives right into it, with the nearest heroes being a terrible team, and there’s no way of knowing who it was, so you can’t even provide the person with constructive feedback.

Another situation I discovered today, is that if you are in a fight, open the chat window, and click on fight in the heist channel, you will be returned to the map and your heroes locked in the battle until it times out, with no way of returning. Once it does time out, your heroes are all ko’d. When it happened, it was an ambush and there was one creep left. There’s no way he wiped out my team.

New heist update is great so thank you! Couple other things.

Pathing is rough. I get its supposed to be like city streets but some paths are completely long and unnecessary.

Sometimes when the hideout is found, it triggers the thief in another location so there are 2 fights with the thief going on. When the hideout is found, the thief should only trigger in that location.

Heist has been more enjoyable since the patch.

I’m certainly enjoying heist more since the update.

My two main concerns that remain now.

*Pathing: At times you feel like you are moving from one place of interest to another which looks incredibly close…yet takes a whole minute as the character loops all around the place. Don’t like that one bit.

*Hideout: I think the best option here is to ONLY allow the host of the heist to initiate the battle immediately if they wish, allow anyone else to initiate the battle 30 seconds after. This can give us time to move characters near by. Too many times has my team snatched defeat from the jaws of victory because some trigger happy noob activates the battle immediately while no characters are nearby. Surely I as the host should have some control over it.

Otherwise, happy with the speed improvements and difficulty changes. Hard is still really tough - which is should be. While easy does feel easy. Equilibrium feels right now.

Love some of the new changes to heist bit it’s frustrating when you use the engery of your heroes for someone to be able to do your fight. It shouldn’t let anyone else do a fight you find unless you decline it. The other this is the resting time it still takes way to long to rest. Also need more then one daily entry

I also agree it would be nice to get more than just 1 ticket for free a day.

I’m thankful we can buy them in City Watch shop now too, but that typically only gives another 1 per day. Not many of us use refresh because we have so many other things to work on.

How about give us a chance to win a heist ticket from a gold chest or guild crate? (If in a Diamond Crate, then a chance to win 3 of them - just 1 wouldn’t be good enough for a Diamond Crate)

One more thing I’d like to add.

Please increase the reward for hero character battles won.

Why?

Because of ‘moochers’, I’ve been involved in battles where I’ve worked hard for 15 minutes; had someone join in the last minute and they share the win. The reward for remaining valuables exceeds my hero fight wins. Even though I’ve done all the hard work.

While on the other hand I’ve joined a heist late and effectively ‘mooched’ a win, and because the hero fight wins reward is so low I don’t feel short changed - instead feels like I’ve won the lottery.

Please amend this to better reward players that work harder and have battled longer for the wins.

Having put in a lot of time in heist at this point, it’s starting to be more enjoyable, except for one point. I feel it should be reiterated because it can be extremely frustrating.

Starting your own fight. Cannot be stressed enough. If my hero spots the thief, I tend to keep my other 4 heroes close by so they can assist. However when someone else clicks the fight button as fast as they can, and summons my whole team, I’m left doing nothing. Not for a long time, no, but either way, it’s annoying. No player should ever be hung in limbo because some players have no consideration.

Ideas have been suggested that there should be a grace period, where whoever owns the hero initiating the fight is the only one who can start it. Even 10 seconds is often plenty to be able to position your choice team and get it started.

Heist is enjoyable.
My biggest issue is when other people take my fights. I just played a heist and my guy found the hideout. Someone who just joined the heist clicked fight before I even had a chance. To make it even more annoying, they took all my guys to fight, so I just had to wait and do nothing.
It is bothersome when it happens on ambush or when you catch the thief, but worse when it’s the hideout.

The heist is fun and i like how you added the tickets to the city watch shop. My only sugestion is mabey allowing 2 or 3 heros to gaurd a diomiond. Otherwise i like that most of the glitches were fixed.

I think most of the problem lies more in players being inexperienced so they don’t know how to get the best out of the heist. I was certainly the same way when it first came out. This is mainly why my guild mostly just does private heists, though ^^;

I actually benefit from other people starting a thief fight that a hero, maybe mine, found. If one of my heroes has been ambushed, I wait until the thief has been found and the fight has been initiated to start the ambush fight so I’m free to call basically any nearby heroes without worry that the thief might steal the gem because I stole the hero guarding it. Does that make sense? It’s late, so I might edit this tomorrow if it doesn’t make sense.

I have two points of contention with heist at the moment. The first is that tapping on POIs or gems is finicky. I have also had problems leaving the gem when it gets stolen while standing watch. My final point is not being able to eject heist players who join and don’t contribute to winning the heist. I don’t think it’s right that those players are rewarded for being inactive. I realize that it isn’t always intentional, but it is still not fair to those who actively participate. Guilds have the option of booting inactive members…why can’t heist have a similar option?

Heist take TOO LONG to win now, reduce energy lost during moving in map.
Again… AGAIN… 3/5 daily entries.

I like the new heist update.

Pros.
*No bugs so far of double hideouts which is great.
*different types of how to win suit the levels (50,60,70)
*love the lobby layout and chat screen displayed up top now

Cons.

*takes far to long to move to thief
*stamina is slow to recharge
*hard to type in heist chat without missing something in game
*poi are sometimes anoying to tap.

Only thing I would love is an update where when you catch the thief instead of trying to click a part around it, can we just click thief and click join fight or something similar.

Overall I enjoy heist :slight_smile:

A few issues I found.

Thief insta-steals valuable apon first starting heist. You don’t even have a chance to move.

You can practically have 5 people on top of a valuable not physically guarding it and no one spots the thief allowing valuable to be stolen.

Fights seem slow or choppy at times, the only game mode this is happening. A FF would be a plus.

Things that are good.

Difficulty is almost there. Fights can be won with appropriate level heros, albeit some do die pretty easily sometimes.

Something to add.

More heist tickets for free. Like 3 would be good. Control over the heist participants once it’s started, sometimes you have an afk, and have lesser available to finish. Maybe allow the host to kick afk out maybe people who just join to sabotage others. It had happened.

Totally agree on the insta-steal, that’s really annoying me.

Even when you have at least 3 players ready to start in the lobby all going to defend valuables immediately you still lose one. How is that fair?

And something does need to be done about AFK, I’d like extra tokens to be awarded for defending valuables. Every 5 minutes guarding = 1 heist token. (combine with the existing 100 heist token cap for fights, so in a long heist you might get 15 guarding tokens, 85 fight tokens)

Too many players join and do nothing, or join and ignore valuables and the circle…just farm ambushes. Encourage these players to be of more value by helping to defend.

Nothing worse than losing our precious few heist tokens because some who join try to leech rewards by doing nothing; or only look after themselves farming ambushes. I do the right thing and end up with less rewards & a greater risk of losing because of these players who don’t help get the win…not cool.

Reward those who are trying to get the win better.

The heist needs to have a fast button for battles that would help with speed.

Quite literally one of the worst gaming experiences I’ve ever had. There are a number of issues that need to be optimized or fixed for this to even be remotely enjoyable.

  1. Thief steals valuable within 1 second of starting. Even if a hero is right next to it, there’s no way to defend it due to travel time. Just another way perblue shows how stingy they are by not allowing maximum points to be EARNED.

  2. AFK players still get rewards. Not only do these players hurt the team, but there is no option to kick or do anything about it. This also shows PEOPLE WOULD RATHER NOT PLAY THIS HORRIBLE GAME MODE AND THE BEST OPTION FOR REWARDS IS NOT BY PLAYING.

  3. In my personal experience, game rooms are slow to fill no matter what invite preference or difficulty level. This now adds a lot of time to this already time intensive mode. ANOTHER SIGN THAT PEOPLE DONT WANT TO DO HEIST.

  4. Rewards are tied to beating enemy groups/thief multiple times rather than stopping thief/finding hideout. This is counter intuitive to the actual goal of the game mode as finding the hideout too fast means lesser rewards. DOING WELL NOW HURTS PLAYERS. HOW DOES THIS MAKE SENSE?!

  5. There should NOT be off duty heroes. It’s already difficult enough to develop a small number of heroes to use in every other game mode. But now for no good reason, on random days you can’t use these in this game mode. This means you either have to use weaker heroes or you can’t join at all. A collaborative game mode you CANT collaborate with others.

I’d love to see a complete overhaul of heist OR complete removal. That will never happen as a company will never admit a HUGE misstep like this. I will continue to utilize the system in place as MANY others are currently doing now.

Sorry if this has been suggested before. I would love to see heist invite messages automatically disappear if they are full or finished. It is driving me crazy to have to go through my whole message list to find why I have a pink dot on my chat, only to find that it’s an old heist invite and not an actual message.

I think there is a need to add “heist start” as one kind of push notification.
This way, when we are waiting for other people to join for minutes or longer, we could use cellphone for other purpose without worrying the heist will secretly start and we will then become afk.

Moreover, we could add a “heist full” push notification, which serves similar purpose for heist owner, just as “heist start” for other 4 players.
