Prize Wall Feedback

Nah, it’s the battle of value. People get that the tokens aren’t very worth it, so the devs try to give diamonds which… aren’t really more valuable compared to the tokens.

But yes, they can help in Fortify the Network (and will soon be an obligatory part of it! ) so they will stay there.

This is only said as either you Loutre or Polaris said that the contests are based on economy - meaning what devs give devs take. Does it help? Well, not really.

For me, the change is really just a loss of 124 tokens. But let’s see if the diamond lure works better.

yikes, I didn’t realise it was that much. That’s got to be like around a 6-7 stage difference assuming 50/50 luck.

I would much rather have those tokens than the extra few diamonds.

I’m fine with the diamonds, the amount is quite a bit more and tokens are still enough to 6 star

Counted it from the data itself - before we had 340 tokens from hero quests, now 216.

It is exactly a 1000 more. Not sure it outweighs the loss - probably not.

well, according to PB, 1000 diamonds is worth around 12 hero chips of a previous Prize Wall hero.

Doesn’t quite measure up to a plethora of chip crates, cosmetic crates, badge crates, disk power, gold, many more hero chips and red skill chips too, and being able to actually play & enjoy the mode more :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, what I said was that people tended to finish the PW hero (aka 6*) in 1-3 days and then not bother with daily quests.

Which then shown in the data as “not enough retention”.

Yeah, so for players finishing all the hero quests, they’re losing (on average) 6 or 7 hero chip jackpots, and 117 or 118 other prizes, most of which are of minimal value but some of which are really helpful. That’s probably worth a lot more to them than the extra thousand diamonds.

For players who don’t go that far, though, who “only” promote their hero to red rank and who do most or all of the other hero quests, they’re getting a greater gain in diamonds while also not losing quite as much from the Prize Wall. Still probably not worth it, but it’s at least arguable in that case.

As for me, I’m mostly wondering where the players are who’ve been complaining during previous Prize Walls about the diamond bonus being out of reach. I guess now that they are getting diamonds for doing some or most of the hero quests, they just don’t care anymore?

So total 6k if they complete all hero quests, even if it helps with FTN there is literally nothing worthwhile to buy with diamonds :woman_shrugging:

Or pb did this move just to shut their mouths and along with it give us less tokens and promote ftn

Well, not “literally”, as (IIRC and got the math correct) that can buy roughly 10k stamina with a Buy More Stamina bonus and Stamina Cost Resets. Which is worth, what, 1/2 to 1/6 of a typical Y5-Y11 badge?

Just in case anyone wonders why Badge Booster Crates keep getting redistributed.

I mean other than that, I was referring to crates they sell for diamonds & these spenders don’t consider buying stam using dias worthwhile

To never to be seen again trial events, they didn’t give badge crates in every trial event either. Well can’t upgrade many characters in yellow rank without badge crates because crafting single badge by raiding not powercraft is a hell lot of tapping

I like the added diamonds and cosmetic crates for the quests, don’t like the overall reduction in prize wall tokens for completing things though.

Getting a toon to yellow is way to expensive (be nice if there was a new guild perk or two to 1. Lower the amount of badges needed for a crafting tree and 2. Make the drop rate to current level and not stopped back in the city part of the game).

To be honest , feel every time there is something useful that may come to the game like the new energy drink, at same time it’s kinda useless with the amount of toons in the game and stage in the game. Like feel the new energy drink should have been introduced at the same time as the yellow 0, not 11 stages into it. Sounds like the person who approves things needs an assistant to approve things faster if that is the only thing holding things up, no offense.

But they weren’t added to daily quests.

1k diamonds and 3 cosmetic crates still doesn’t recompense over 100 lost tokens, meh change, quite typical.

Ok edited post than

I have to say, not a fan of the reduced prize wall tokens either. The chances of badge booster and cosmetic crates plus stamina are far more helpful at this point that the diamonds. One good drop of a red badge from a badge booster saves me 4k to 10k+ stamina, something far more useful than a handful of diamonds at this point. I couldn’t care less about the Underminer, but I’m still playing the prize wall for sake of whatever additional stamina and crates I can get off it. 1 prize wall token for hero quests is not much incentive to do them, I rarely spend diamonds at this point. And I’m a FTP.

Also this is probably the worst prize wall to assess retention anyways as very few people are actually interested in the Underminer from what I’ve seen. Player numbers being low this go around wouldn’t surprise me.

I don’t know exactly how much they reduce but I suspect it must be around 50%:roll_eyes::roll_eyes: which is a lot… With those token, I could earn some more useful things (badge crates, stamina or exp drink), not some tiny amount of diamond that never enough for FTN contest

Not the first time the change went in the way of “you earn too much, we can not tell you, here´s something else of nicher value”.

And they wonder why things got stale?:roll_eyes::roll_eyes:

the… things… got indeed very stale… nothing really exciting to look forward

Officially, the amount of token is decreased by 50%. Last prize wall, for reaching 6 star, we got 40 token. Now we only get 20 and 1 lousy guaranteed cosmetic crates :roll_eyes::roll_eyes:

It is always like this. Whenever they increase something, we barely notice any difference (10 or 20%) but when they decrease, it is always 50% or even higher

It is always in their mindset that us players have too much :roll_eyes::roll_eyes: while in face, we barely have anything. I don’t know about others but I call this GREED :roll_eyes::roll_eyes:

Prizes wall is a rare good thing after so long, and they still find a way to ruin it. Bravo, Perblue, bravo…

I think the Prize Wall is only good because at the beginning, they added characters people actually wanted (Bolt, Ariel, and Raya). But then there’s all the other characters that nobody really cared about (looking at YOU Underminer). It was once good, but now terrible.

So here’s some solutions.
The obvious P2W. How many F2P players have gotten the 5,000 diamonds? Most likely little to no people have. Just throw the entire hero quest idea in the garbage.
Like I said earlier. Add characters people actually want. That gives people motivation to actually do the Prize Wall. Look at Bolt. I’ve six starred him. Ariel. Six starred. Raya. Six starred. Anna? You bet your bottom dollar she’s six starred. Then there’s Bagheera, Pete, Underminer… who asked for these characters? (Pete is a somewhat exception.) It’s just the fact that most people would rather have characters from franchises that aren’t in DHBM. We’re still waiting for some Soul, Luca, and even Cars. Will they ever come to the game in the Prize Wall? Ehhh… probably not.
