Yellow Rank and Codebase Feedback!

And can we please have yellow juices in the ports already or make the port juices differences between port levels actual sustainable to the current cap levels to afford such battle badge enhancements? Saying one level is 10 red juices with some blue and orange juices etc, then the next one same reds and just some extra useless green juices is a complete joke. Don’t have the gems all the time as a ftp to buy in markets when they do show up as spending them elsewhere.

I’ll admit that I haven’t gone through all the responses in this thread, but I hope several people mentioned that Codebase is inaccessible for the MASSIVE majority of the playerbase for the servers that have Yellow rank because ranking heroes up is long and costly for said majority. Without a meaningful way to make grinding and ranking heroes up easier and faster, mostly all of your feedback will come from players who are more than willing to pay to win, which is unfair in terms of equity @Loutre

One thing I don’t understand with this is why XP is used to bump up the levels? It doesn’t make any sense, it doesn’t go. And then when you level up, all the enhancements to the badge get washed away? How does that make any sense?

You meant enhancements… well, the amount of XP to raise it is just too high.

But nevermind… one won´t be able to keep up with the Levels in 1-2 ranks anyway, since the Megabit gain isn´t getting any higher anytime soon. Maybe we will have to wait till Y17 as with Red Skill Chips gain in Epic CW… @Loutre  ?

Really relevant feedback when:
Level 1 = Unlock is 900 Megabits (1x)
Level 2 = 1800 Megabits (2x)
Level 3 = 3100 Megabits (roughly 3.5x)
Level 4 = will cost 4750 Megabits (roughly 5.25x)

The right scaling for Codebase Megabits is:
ROUNDUP(Current Team Level - 230 (Yellow Rank) / 5) ----> this determines the highest possible level one can achieve for a hero.

Based on that, the Megabits in Codebase will scale:
Determined Highest Level Possible (DHLP) Megabits needed / Unlock Megabits needed

So, say if you have Team Level 242…
first formula does ROUNDUP ((242-230)/5) = ROUNDUP (12/5) = 3… DHLP of Battle Badge is 3.

Since you need 3100 Megabits for Level 3, the scale of Megabits would be 3100/900 x current amount. So, if we earn now 361 Megabits at max in Codebase, with the scaling proposed it would be 1243 for Team Level 241-245.

You’re correct, I’m talking about the enhancements. What I’m saying is that XP doesn’t make sense as the item needed to up these badges. XP goes to hero level in every single game ever…how does that play to battle badges? It really doesn’t.

Just a thought…is this team level or the hero level that the badge is on? I would expect the max be based on the level of a particular hero, not the team max. A hero that’s 230 shouldn’t have the same max as one that’s 300.

Epic CW drops go off the Team Level as well, even if all your heroes have locked red skills though. You can have Team Level 245, a Level 245 Hero without Red Skill unlocked and you will still get 85 Skill Chips per drop in Epic CW.

That’s why I base the Megabits on Team Level, not Hero Level.

Forgive me, I’ve not had nearly enough coffee today and dealing with the aftermath of a botched water heater install by a plumber that flooded my basement…

I think I’m still in the headspace of bumping up the battle badges with my comment.

At the end of the day, the cost to enhance and level is crazy. I’ve held off on enhancing a badge and then leveling it up, but as I understand it, the enhancements are wiped out and you don’t get those resources back. Is that correct? If that’s the case it simply doesn’t pay to enhance at all.

If I am correct based on what Polaris says, some of the Megabits are retrieved, but XP is not. Is that right @Loutre?

FINAL RAGE LEVEL: 30
FINAL SCORE: 9,223,372,036,854,775,807
Percentage: 150%
Megabits: 361
Received the 361 before rage 30

FINAL RAGE LEVEL: 30
FINAL SCORE: 1,890,521
Percentage 400%
Megabits: 361
Received the 361 before rage 30

FINAL RAGE LEVEL: 30
FINAL SCORE: 1,236,032
Percentage 90%
Megabits: 361
Received the 361 before rage 30

What’s the use of?:

  • Keep fighting the virus after rage 30
  • getting that high score
  • getting 400%

If always getting only 361 Megabits???

Just to bring this issue up again (that’s been plainly obvious to everyone but PB since the very first rank increase after they were introduced), it’s now almost impossible to make any meaningful promotion of Battle Badges over the course of a cap raise.

The Codebase trial is boring; I don’t pay attention to the Virus Type since it makes no difference to my team or Megabits earned, I just hit Start 3x a day and that’s it.

The XP cost to enhance the BB is such that I’ve never used it at all past my Free one.

And now - with the cost to promote a Battle Badge over 6000 and being able to earn around 13000 Megabits of a single type (and below half that of the other types) each cap raise, it’s simply not possible to promote more than 2-3, and only if no others are worked on at all.

What is the long term plan for Battle Badges & The Codebase - if there is one at all?

Things are just the same as Red Skill CW drop. It took them a really really long time to scale the drop to our team lv and now, history repeats itself

They always say they have a clear roadmap and things are always planned for the upcoming future. I doubt this is true because if they really do plan things, why can’t they plan something so simple like this???

Or do they even play this game? Or just a log in once in a few months to test things out and that is it???

Ah, but PerBlue does have a solution for that: :heavy_dollar_sign::heavy_dollar_sign::heavy_dollar_sign:

(I really would like to believe otherwise, but after nearly 5 months of waiting without even the slightest acknowledgment that this is an issue, I have to conclude that no changes are planned for battle badges and their enhancement.)

Again… as Joy’s and Yax’s is completely worthless to unlock.

To addition, Shego’s battle badge buff could instead give fantastic crit or evasion as both of these stats aren’t that high.

While looking for something else, I found a comment that’s compelling me to make a bit of an update and an apology. When addressing the question of megabits back in June, Loutre posted:

So yes, PerBlue does acknowledge it’s a problem, and I was wrong to say otherwise. I’m not exactly thrilled that, two months later, we haven’t seen any progress, but at least it’s on their radar.

I’d already filed that into the same drawer as Lightning ROB tbh :stuck_out_tongue:

As if Shego isn’t already powerful enough

HELLO??

And good news, PB finally increased megabits gain… truly a historical moment to be alive

:man_facepalming: Of course.

Also, sorry Pipsqueak I wanted to quote your post about 13k Megabits saying it is wrong, but actually might not be. It is close.

I was basing it off 150-160 average per run, 3 times, for 28 days
