Welcome to the Disney Heroes: Battle Mode October Sign-In Hero and Shop Refresh! This release features Sadness from Pixar’s Inside Out!
Sadness
Sadness is a front-line ”Tank” hero. Sadness will be the October Sign-In Hero on all servers.
Skills
Circle of Sadness
Passive: Instead of using a basic attack, Sadness cowers, dodging basic attacks and gaining stacks of Sorrow. Sadness also gains stacks of Sorrow when an ally is KO’d. Sadness gains armor and reality from each stack of Sorrow and carries a portion of her stacks of Sorrow from wave to wave.
Active: Sadness targets the enemy with the most remaining HP, applying stacks of Fatigue to them and creating a circle of sadness around them. While in the circle, all enemies are silenced and debuffs applied to them last longer.
Rain Cloud
Sadness leaps on a raincloud and rides it over enemies, causing enemies to take damage per second. Sadness deals more damage with this skill per stack of Sorrow.
Wails and Woes
Sadness starts to wail, dealing damage to and silencing nearby enemies. Sadness deals more damage with this skill per stack of Sorrow.
Slow Down
Enemies who damage Sadness have their attack and movement speed reduced. This speed reduction can stack up a number of times.
Sad State
Sadness gains stacks of Sorrow for enemies that are silenced. Silenced enemies take more damage from basic attacks.

Sadness’ friendships will not be available in the game until the 2.3 update and the new friendship system.
October Sign-In Hero & Shop Refresh
Heroes will appear in Shops after they refresh on September 30. Heroes will appear in Crates after the daily reset at 5AM on October 1.
