Contest Improvements

While we’ve just debuted Guild Contests and have already added some other fun things to shake up contests, we have more improvements on the way! In 1.11, we’re adding more benefits to competing in our weekly contests such as the Hall of Fame, prestige rewards, exclusive Guild Perks, and more exclusive cosmetics!

Hall of Fame

The Hall of Fame lets you permanently make your mark in Disney Heroes: Battle Mode by showcasing top performers in previous contests and there’s two views! You can find this button on the contest screen, or through the contest button on the main screen if no contest is running. For those of you that are past winners, your previous contest victories will show up in this new feature!

Contest View
The Contest View allows you to see each previous contest and the Top 5 ranked players or guilds.

Ranking View

The Ranking View allows you to see the all-time rankings of contest performance. This view shows how many of each top spot a player or guild has achieved and even gives them a Contest Score to rank them against other contest champions. Contest Scores given based on which rank a player or guild achieved starting at 100 points for #1 and dropping to 1 point for 100th place.

Chat Bling

For each contest, the top scoring player, or members of the top scoring guild, will have a champion trophy next to their name in chat (and other locations in the game). This trophy lasts until the next contest, and the trophy is passed to the new victor.

Guild Contest Perks

With guild contests, we’re looking to add something special for the guilds that participate. Guild Contest Perks are special perks outside of the regular guild perk system that provide the entire guild new or bonus benefits!

Guild leaders can use Guild Contest Points to unlock and level up Guild Contest Perks. These Points will be available to all guilds through the progress rewards of guild contests. Unlocking and leveling Guild Contest Perks can be found as an option within the existing Perks screen.

More Cosmetics

Last, but not least, we’re adding new cosmetics as contest prizes. Watch for new avatar borders, emojis, guild emblems, and guild emblem borders as they arrive in future contests!

Mods

Boosting Mod Strength

We are doubling the Basic Damage, Skill Power and HP that mods give. We’ve also fixed an issue where the amount of Power that mods were giving your heroes was too low. Remember, mods make your heroes stronger even outside of Invasion!

Server 1 Update

Server 1 can now equip up to 4 mods per hero and can advance your mods to +4. Advancing mods to +4 will require level 2 mod fragments which can be earned in Invasion.

Server 1 can also Upgrade mods, giving them a bonus effect. More details can be found in the Mod Upgrading forum post.

Servers 2-16 Update

Players can now equip up to 3 mods per hero and can advance mods to +3. Advancing mods to +3 will require a new type of mod fragment which can be earned in Invasion. Unlike the existing mod fragments, the new ones come in 9 different variations, one for each combination of color and shape, making them rarer.

Server 17 Update

Advancing Mods with Mod Fragments

  • The Mods you’ve been playing with so far are +0 and +1 Mods.
  • Now you can turn +0 Mods into +1 Mods, and +1 Mod into +2 Mods, via Advancement.
  • Advancing a Mod increases both its base stat and its per-level stat boost.
  • Advancing a Mod costs:
    • Mod Fragments, which can be earned exclusively in the Invasion.
    • Hero Chips, which attune the Mod specifically to that hero.

Second Mod Slot

  • You can now equip up to 2 Mods to each Hero.
  • This allows you to get more total power out of Mods.
  • But it also offers more choice in terms of which stats to use with each hero.

Server 18 Update

Second Mod Slot

  • You can now equip up to 2 Mods to each Hero.
  • This allows you to get more total power out of Mods.
  • But it also offers more choice in terms of which stats to use with each hero.

Server 19-20 Update

Invasion Boss Marking

We’ve heard that some players want to be able to more easily communication about Bosses in Invasion. Some want to finish off a boss they find, while others want to share with the guild right away. We’re adding the ability to mark Invasion Boss that you find. These marks are only suggestions, and don’t change who can see or attack the Boss, but this will help guild communication and coordination.

Other Improvements

  • Improved filters and categories on the Items screen
  • New Emojis!
  • Added Miguel and Finnick to the Stun Collection

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue that was causing the red dot to show on heroes if they had an available mission.
  • Fixed an issue where no friends were listed if a Hero was not unlocked.
  • Kevin Flynn’s Power Cleanse skill will now clear transformations from Merlin and The Genie.

New Hero Locations and Content Adjustments

On the face of it I like the contest hall of fame stuff but considering how pretty much all the contests are well and truly owned by the same few whales each and every time it seems pretty redundant.
